One more question, what is the result if the step down 400w controller is overloaded from PV input? Does it just turn off, or blow a fuse, or burns up, or throttles the wattage output to 400w? The reason why I ask is that if I have say 600w PV input during the winter, where average I may only get 200 or 100w most of the time from the 600w panel arrangement but occasionally it may go over 400w that the panels are providing. What happens when it does?
Hi, thank you for the video. I wanted to ask, is it possible to use the step down controller to transfer energy from a 48V ebike battery to a lifepo4 12v battery? I noticed in one of your demos of the step down converter, you used a simulated power source to imitate PV input, so I would think this is possible? The main reason I ask is that it's tough to find 48v inverters, not that many inexpensive choices, and at least my 48v battery could be used for additional power storage that could be transferred to the 12v battery with inverter, and therefore i wouldnt have to buy a seperate 48v inverter

1. you should always refer to the battery spec for the charging voltage 2. correct, the MPPT charge controller will automatically stop when it reach the charging voltage you set.
