Knights of Ren were one of the most wasted cool concepts in the sequel. But went down so quick.
Most wasted is still Snoke. I wish that Snoke dying was just an illusion and then he shows up in IX. But unimaginative JJ Abrams brings back Palpatine.

There is no "first Knight of Ren" in this era. The Knights of Ren are an ancient group dating back to the Old Republic era.
The knights of ren date back to the old republic, just because they popped up in the movies when they did doesn’t mean that’s when they formed, there is multiple rens before Kylo

Unfortunately, you'll find in Rise of Skywalker a scene where Poe is talking to Zorri Bliss on the roof on Kijimi. The music in the background is the exact music that plays in Attack of the Clones when Cliegg Lars tells Anakin that Shmi is likely dead. There is ZERO connection between the two scenes. Unfortunately the writers don't think this hard.

Hopefully this means they are gonna add to the concept of The Knights Of Ren considering how much JJ and Rian made them so useless. Especially JJ, I mean the dude created them and while Rian went his own direction. When JJ came back he could've used them more effectively than brooding shots and a crappy fight against Ben.
I get the feeling that they were just a mystery box item for JJ and he never meant to actually do anything with them but when fans complained about their absence in The Last Jedi; JJ began to sweat thinking up ways to bring them into the story.
Actually, Rian was HELPING them in this case. He stated that the Praetorian Guards were initially going to be the Knights of Ren, but Rian didn’t want to kill them off in a quick battle and saved them for the next Director to use. Maybe he should've just used them since the Knights own creator didn't have a plans for them. 😮💨 But can't blame Rian, there were quite a few directors for Rise Of Skywalker until Disney crawled back to JJ. I still love one of the visions with Kylo being fully evil; Rey gets all dressed in black with a double bladed blue Lightsaber and I'm probably missing a few bits but it would've been nice to not have a rehash of a redemption and the Emperor returning as a clone.
@@TheHufflepuffSaint I’d suggest the Rise of Kylo Ren comic for more on the Knights and a bit of Luke and Ben before his fall action. It fleshes them out a bit more and gives some lore to the Knights outside of “that group with the cool masks”

Actually, that's Kylo Ren's theme. Knights of Ren got their own short motif in The Rise of Skywalker and it's not similar to Kylo's. But yeah, I've been wondering why they used it, although it wouldn't be the first time when they use some leitmotif without the proper connection.
This is Kylo Ren's theme rather than the Knight's of Ren's theme. It would be cool if he was connected to the Knights of Ren, but I think this is more of a callback to Kylo himself. Not sure if it indicates a literal connection or more of a metaphorical connection.

Omg, this can expand upon my theory that he isn't a sith. He says that he 'had no name but he is what the jedi would call a sith' this to me implies that he has no Darth title as he hasn't actually been trained by a sith lord but instead osha and mae's mum bc she was specifically stated as having that same power and the fact that there is some history with Kimir and Sol which i expect goes back to the night on Brendok where I expect that the jedi attack the witches and for some reason, kimir was there (maybe a third child hidden by the witches bc he is male) who saw what the jedi did and how despite eventually slaughtering the witches, they put up a great fight (and i expect the mother mind controlls kelnacca to attack the others, hence the shot of him attacking Torbin in the trailer and then Torbin having the cuts in the shot where Sol takes Mae back to the ship. From there he uses some varient of force heal and the mother trains him to use the dark side.

it would probably make sense if qiymir was a knights of ren leader after all the leader of knights of Ren carried and were the only one to carry a saber and were not sith but sort of associated with them but really it all depends when the knights of ren were created but i can assume before the acolyte. If Qymir was really a knights of Ren leader it would kind of be a little disappointing if we don't see the other members but if this show brings the knights of ren into play but in a good way i wouldnt mind but i doubt knights of Ren would be in this show but we will see
I think this darkside user in the acolyte should be a knight of REN. Then it definitely doesn’t contradict what was said in the prequels about the Sith not being seen for over a millennia. 😮 Besides everything Disney Star Wars makes has to tie into the sequel trilogy.
I won't lie Quimir arms and body looks similar to knights of ren comic ... how it shows his arms but not scarred in acolyte its impressive but at the same time ... I feel it would be better to introduce world beyond worlds so this universe has what people would want.

As much as I'd prefer him to be a KOR instead of a sith, I'd take this theory with a grain of salt. The motif appears in Grogu's theme as well, plus Ben's reformed theme too, so not that uncommon

See, I also thought he might not be a Sith Lord. Obviously, he quotes the Sith Code at times. But what he said about his motives doesn't really seem to fit with a Sith Lord. Wanting to use your power however you want with no restrictions is a far cry from wanting unlimited power for no reason other than power's sake. If anything, the desire to indulge in frivolous use of power, to use it to accomplish something pleasing to you, is at odds with the Sith. For the Sith, power is its own end; pleasure, money, luxury, and so on are all secondary to achieving greater power.
I was thinking it was more likely that he was some Dark Jedi who had HEARD of the Sith, and decided to call himself that. Like Ventress when she first met Dooku in the 2003 Clone Wars cartoon.
