    In about a months time, it's gonna be 5 years with this beast. Never would've thought this thing would last me this long. Dropped it more times than I could count, and nothing ever broke on it. Fingerprint sensor still quick as ever and charges fast. Camera and battery life are showing their age, but everything else has stayed the same. Best phone I've ever owned

    Why does he keep saying "one of the best" budget phones? It has some of the best specs of any flagship right now - Snapdragon 821, 6GB RAM, 64/128GB storage & 3400mAh battery. This phone obliterates the competition.

    • @matteo4413
      @matteo4413 7 років тому +11

      Thomas Lam I prefer stock Android and I couldn't live with TouchWiz. Every month or so I would have to do a factory reset bc the phone would get laggy. Also S7 battery life was disappointing. If the S7 ran stock Android it would be 10x better..
      Basically get the S7 if u want the best screen and best camera and if u can live with TouchWiz and somewhat average or slightly below avg battery life.
      Another thing to consider is that the OP3 is pretty much as developer friendly as a Nexus (I do play around with root and custom ROMs but I understand 99% of people don't do that). Samsung is not developer friendly at all, and continues to lock their phones down more and more

      Call Me Gabe i dont know if i can speak much for the oneplus 3t as i have only had it for one full day now. my first impressions though have been amazing. i previously had an htc one m8 so the 3t feels blazing fast. i havent experienced any lagging. the software feels really light and smooth. i just installed a new software update and we're supposed to get nougat before the year ends. so far im loving it. the screen looks great (but not the best) and ive gotten about 5.5 hours of screen on time. dash charging is also extremely fast i can get around 60% in 30 min. im not sure how oneplus will treat this phone in the future and ive also heard that they arent the best with customer support and such but i love the op3t so far and i hope u make a decision :)

    I've finally gotten my order in for the 3T 128GB. What I love about it is, it's the same price I paid for my G4 almost 2 years ago. The 3T's SD821 runs over 1/2 of a gigahertz faster than my G4, has quadruple the storage capacity, double the RAM, a 13% larger battery, ultra fast charging I don't even know how much better the graphics processor is! But that huge of an upgrade for the same amount of money is just blowing my mind. Unfortunately, I gotta wait almost a month for it to show up according to the Oneplus website. If I'd ordered it 3 days before thanksgiving, I'd be writing this comment with it right now.

      Maria SK It's superior in every way except the camera. Runs smooth as silk. I went thru 4 G4's with the boot loader issue. I do still use my G4 to shoot product photos for eBay sales. The manual controls on the 3T camera are a joke compared to G4. Other than that. A much better phone and experience for the same price as the G4. AMAZING X

      The only thing I think mainly would be the camera. Pixel and S7 have better cameras. Also the S7 has upgradeable storage up to 256 GB.
      If the One Plus had micro SD storage it would be the best smartphone feature wise.

      It's not only the best feature wise, it also has the best specs, great and clean software experience, great build quality. The only thing that's lacking is indeed the camera and maybe the expandable storage but I don't think people care that much about the SD card slot.

    One plus has shown Google how it's done. Google priced its pixel insanely while one plus did far better at that. The only difference between one plus 3t and Google pixel a slightly better camera on the pixel. You still get stock android experience, more ram, better processor, better front facing camera and dash charge at a price of $440(128gb) as compared to pixel xl $749 (128gb). So one plus 3t is definitely the best performing smartphone ever.

      The Pixel XL has Google Assistant, 24/7 support, amoled screen, infinite cloud storage and imo the software experience is the best out of all other android devices. The Pixel is still overpriced imo, but I wouldn't say the 3t is the best performing, it still clearly lacks in some departments.

      I assume it's the people who feel they always need to have the newest flagship phone. The phone still functions exactly the same after the release of the Oneplus 3T as when you first purchased it, I don't see the big deal. Performance is negligible, and the extra battery while nice isn't a deal breaker. the extra storage is a bit of a bummer though for people who just bought the Oneplus 3.

    Axon 7 with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM and Force Touch just came out. I have the 4gb 64ROM, and the speakers are amazing! Using NOVA Launcher on the Axon is also highly recommended. it looks so good, QHD, and some videos say the extra pixels to push is only a 5% waste of battery, so it's worth it. also, dash charging isn't compatible with other phones, unlike Qualcomm 3.0, which is compatible. also, the annoying bell button is now optional on the Axon, and on screen keys are also optional for the new Axon. also! Axon includes 2 year warranty! even for accidents.

      ZTE is a large Chinese company with close relationship with the Chinese government. I personally would not believe that those phones came without any bloatwares, if not other sketchy hidden codes. Oneplus, on the other hand, which teamed up with Cyanogenmod at the very beginning, convinces me that their only agenda is to make good phones.

    • @DaKoraqi
      @DaKoraqi 7 років тому +1

      Oscar Eng ....they broke away from CyanogenMod, how can that currently be a good sign? also, OnePlus is big too, the are a subsidiary of OPPO, and they want people to believe they are a small start-up. they are not a small start-up. OPPO and OnePlus have 1 phone that is the same, exact same, every molecule is the same.

      OPPO does not have the same involvement with the Chinese government as ZTE does, not to mention it's a different corporate entity and phone OS from OPPO. As to your contention that iphone/Samsung/Google have hidden programs...what? Iphone and Google phones are as clean as a phone can get, Samsung is full of bloatwares but not spywares. I'm not accusing ZTE of having spywares, but I'd be a lot more suspicious on ZTE than I'd on Oneplus.

    • @DaKoraqi
      @DaKoraqi 7 років тому +1

      Oscar Eng look at OPPO A30 and OnePlus X. it is the same exact phone. identical. and all companies have data collection. even if the OS are different, GUI are different, but phone systems are generally the same.

      Orlando Biotechnology actually just did some research and Google DIDNT under clock the 821. you see the 821 to the 820 is the 801 to the 800. but what most people don't know is that the 821 and the 801 have 2 variants. 1 is has a higher clock speed, like the one used in the 3T and another one which provides the same clockspeed as the previous chip but using 5% less battery, like on the pixel. however having the same clock speed doesn't mean it's the same speed, the 821 on the pixel is faster in real world performance than the 820s

We are running much older version of OOS and yet no volte , now with 3t I can already see the lag between 3.5 on 3t and older version on 3 , if you can not keep The updates up , stop making phones now and then ! Every phone should get compulsory 2 years if not 3 years of update if its ther main phone , because if they are targeting people who want phones under 500 they better know we are not able to throw phone then and now with the speed you will make new phone

      OR we can swallow the fact that we get what we pay for ? its like buying a VW Polo 1.2 in hoping it would go as fast and drives as brilliant as the MK7 Golf . doesnt sounds right isnt it ?
      same case here. i like oneplus but if a more expensive phone gets better update , better camera better everything i honestly dont mind, because i know i paid for something cheaper than them thus i should get less, anything on par or more is always a bonus.
      and dude , OP2 is not outdated, you will always have custom roms you can play around with, the community is awesome, and that has always been Oneplus's strong point.

    My guess on smartphone awards 2016:
    Best overall smartphone: Galaxy S7 edge
    Best compact phone: iPhone 7
    Best value for money: Oneplus 3
    Most disappointing phone: HTC Bolt

    I have a oneplus 3, but I would still choose the 3 over the 3T
    It's 40€$ more, and only has a 13% better battery, a slightly better processor and a selfie camera that has double the mp, but that doesn't matter to me.
    The battery was already great, the CPU was also already great and the GPU hasn't even changed, so most games that push it to it's limit won't be much better. I also wouldn't pay more for a selfie camera that has the same amount of MP as the rear camera.
    The updates will come at the same time and all in all, I think I got a better deal with my normal oneplus 3.

    This year it is between ZTE and OnePlus for best smartphone. I think the Axon 7 beats pretty much anything. VR Daydream ready with Samsung AMOLED display inside, no warranty loss when unlocked and rooted (at least in Europe), best audio, a thin bezel design with dual front facing speakers that puts HTC to shame, charges in 70min from 0% to 100% for 6 hours of screen on time. The OnePlus 3 has a slightly better camera but worse sound and no QHD display. I think Axon are killing it this year. The only real miss is a proximity sensor for notifications and an option for on screen keys. When I see that Samsung still have poor speakers and Apple are missing the VR boat with their low res displays and small batteries and they cost so much more, I say Kudos to the Chinese brands and thank you! I feel bad for HTC because I use their sense launcher on all my phones, but the bezels and smaller size are not for me. :-/

      Laurent Grimal way too big for me :/ around 5 inch display is perfect for me. 5.5 is pushing it

    • @pureffm
      @pureffm 7 років тому

      Mr. Happyfacee I think that's true with Apple phones because they have such humongous bezels (worst screen to body ratio in the industry) but nowadays 5.5" phones of some brands feel like 5.2".

      The Nexus 6P may not have a 820 or 821 Snapdragon, only having an 810. But you can look around and find the camera ( FOR still pixtures) of the Nexus 6P, and it runs head to head with the S7, iPhone, Pixel and HTC 10. In Most cases it does better. Usually in low light, contrast, exposure and color accuracy. At least in my opinion and that of those who reviewed it against the competitors. Out of those competitors, it is the only one, other than the Pixel that gets to take advantage of the Google Camera App with it's HDR+, since the Google Camera app only works with phones utilizing ARM, as of late. But out of all those phones, which to a certain extent matters to my personal preference, is that it is the only one of those listed above with front facing stereo speakers. And as far as updates, it'll be next to the Pixel in getting the latest and greates, at least for two years from its release. Or if you're in the Beta program the S7 included, can also get the latest and greatest aside from the two most recent Google phones (I count the Pixel next to the Pixel XL because they were released at the same time)
      The Axon 7 kills it in price to performance ratio in just about every category that you could put the it in. But the lack of quality pictures from the rear facing camera had me steer away from it since I enjoy capturing those moments with quality. And according to MKBHD when he reviewed the 6P, the Sony IMX 377 sensor in it was orginally suppose to be in a point and shoot camera. Which if you think about it for a moment is pretty cool. You get a the quality of a point and shoot camera, minus optical zoom, right in your pocket, and immediatly saved on your smartphone for immediate posting to socail media or uploading to the cloud, be it you have data connectivity of course. I viewd around 10-20 or more videos on UA-cam over the last couple of months as well as read some article reviews to finally come to the conclustion that the Nexus 6P fit my daily use and budget. But by no means is the Axon 7 a bad phone.

    • @pureffm
      @pureffm 7 років тому +1

      pvtghost24 I think MKBHD tested the Axon 7 on the old software. The new update has fixed the low light situations. Color accuracy is always very good. But now I use Google camera because it was ported via CM. It also allows perfect color calibration of the display. The Axon 7 will have nougat very fast because you can unlock and root it without losing 2 year warranty, so the amount of developer support is tremendous. ZTE made the dolby software available for CM, which is awesome. By far the best dual front facing speaker sound on any smartphone. Even Boomsound pales in comparison. And the microphone and noise canceling is a dream. Even in a loud environment people tell me they only hear my voice and it is very clear!
      And it is VR daydream ready!
      The Nexus 6P is also a great device but I like the comfort or a small frame and thin bezels. MKBHD has huge hands he never mentions bezels as a factor but for me 6P and IP7+ are the most cumbersome phones.

    Still using it. It's not obsolete. They provided Updates upto Android Pie. So, it doesn't really feel that outdated software-wise. And 3T had a really powerful chipset to begin with. I think it will still be okay to use for another 1-2 years.

  • @flashmasstock

    hi there, is this a non released model>version of the 3T,? like for the developers? because I've noticed and not only on your vid, but at others too, that the 3 menu buttons are on the screen instead of some *physical^ next to the finger print sensor as I saw on most recent vids, they are not on screen, so therefore my question. thx
