The cj is my favorite 10.3. I put the vrd in it with the Harley designs mount. Vanquish shocks proline tires and injora wheels. Brass diff covers and threw a storm trooper for a driver. Pod lights and a rc4wd light bar fits perfect ran off a toggle in the console. An absolute beast of a trail truck.

I have the scx10 iii rubicon and it’s unbelievably capable!! I’ve done some upgrades but I’ve had mine for 3.5 years and besides a steering servo and panhard mount, she is solid!! Do it Mark, cheers 🍻

I was very disappointed in the DBXLE. I bought it and the SBR 2.0 when they were on sale this time last year.
The DBXLE isn't a basher, it's not a scale rig. It's not bad but it's not really good at anything either.
I guess if you lived in or near desert terrain the DBXLE would be great, especially upgraded to 12s. It's actually the only large scale rig out besides the XRT I don't own and love. Maybe I should have kept it longer and did more upgrades. I just didn't see a way to make it great at anything besides being big. I wish Losi would give us a new 8s 5b alongside it.

Yes, the ProBoat SonicWake IS self-righting...and, it has been self-righting since it was released. More importantly, it's WAY better than the Traxxas Spartan, and in so many ways. Because it's wider, it's more stable than the Spartan. Whereas the Spartan flips quite easily, the SonicWake is somewhat difficult to flip...even when you're trying to flip it. I've tried flipping mine, and have always had 'trouble' when purposely trying to flip it. From what I understand, based on things I've read, the SonicWake is also more durable than the Spartan. When using the stock radio, the SonicWake should have greater range (not that I use the stock radios on almost any on my RCs). Compared to the Spartan, there are more, and a wider range of, upgrades available for the SonicWake. Having watched others running their Spartans & SonicWakes, the SonicWake definitely seems to be the more enjoyable of the two.

I wish our Hobbytowns here in Oklahoma City carried more Tamiyas. I built a CC-02 Unimog a couple months ago, and just bought a MF-01X Rally VW Bug today. Had to order them both because nobody carries Tamiya in stock.

Ya it’s for display. But it’ll likely be operational before long.
The front wheels required a wider hex to get wheels mounted.
Also it has the servo completely repositioned to allow for the big motor.
It’s a work in progress. We will sell it at some point. Right now it’s for about $1200 in it.
You missed the coolest part.
The one piece ugly sticker on the front grill was cut out and a scale radiator/grill w fans was installed up front! All hand built from styrene!!

Basecamp is great. Can fit up to a 4092 size motor. It's a good base to build on.

Scale builder's guild and Harley designs did a speed mayhem using the trx6 , not the hauler, but still , was a fun mayhem series

The UDI rc range is good.. brushed is good to drift around on the rubber tyres.. the drift wheels are just a hard plastic vs quality drift wheels..
Brushless versions are even more so drifting on the rubber..
