I've got an xmaxx and for me personally to make it really good you need to spend another 1000-1200 dollar to make it really bullit proof. Mod 1.5 gears and spiral bevelled diff gears. Metal diff housing and covers en aluminum top and lower brace, max 6/5 combo with 1100 kv motor, and a few other tweeks. It took me over a year to steadily get there but now ive run over 20 packs and just occasinally tighten the screws.
My xmaxx I broke lower arm, bent shock shaft, bent cvd on very first run. But that first run was truly enjoyable. I'll be upgrading it gradually as well
You know they make a X-Maxx and XRT Ultimate right? 1500 for everything you mention basically. Save a lot from buying all the Traxxas stuff, its a good upgrade but inbetween the best mods for more.
I’ve got two SCX6, Kraton, Super Baja and just added a DBXLE last Christmas, I know I have a problem!!! My DB is my favorite large scale but the Kraton is my favorite basher.

You can 8s a TRAXXAS SLEDGE and put larger belted tires on it. Weight would come in around 16-18 lbs and you can modify it with carbon fiber to make it even lighter. It is just a bit smaller than the x-maxx but you can actually get a 1/5 chassis from a small company and make it longer if you want. 8S on a sledge with the right gearing can go other 110MPH !! It handles a lot better than the x-maxx and XRT, costs less and actually is better for bashing if that is what you are into. Just a bit smaller but not if you extend it.
Sad to not see my favorite on here. The Losi Super Rock Rey. It's my favorite to drive. Especially at Glamis with paddles and my upgraded power system. It just looks cool on the sand shredding sand berms and hitting big dune booters!.
Yeah the raminator is by far the largest rc on the market. It doesn't come ready to run. But the rovan baja maxx5t is just a little bit smaller. And comes ready to run. The losi 5t like he said is a bind and drive so how does it fit in the category of RTR. I'm really disappointed the rovan baja maxx5t isn't on the list

Once Vitavon makes parts to put a big motor in the Vigilante it might dethrone the Outcast on my list. I've been considering a 12s 5T build this summer. It really depends on what new rigs Arrma releases the next couple months.
Hi Amain! Kinda off topic but "big RCs" took me to a recent release (a 1/7th trail truck) ... Are you considering selling Rlaarlo? (hope I spelled it right)? They're getting noticed and, from what I hear, bringing good rigs to the hobby. :)
@@robinsonlu4531 I thought so too... But no. I have the 1/10th version from Absima (Absima Sherpa 3.4) and the 1/8th is basically an augmented version of the 1/10th, parts are identical. This Rlaarlo has very different parts from the Yikongs/Absimas. 😉
I have all of them. I like them all a lot,don't know if I could pick a favorite. But the 8s arrmas really handle the big systems way better than the traxxas stuff, front and rear diffs, drive shafts always seem to get torn up. Arrmas handle better too. Under the hood of an arrma looks like a machine, the traxxas look more toyish. And while I love the xmaxx it kind of handles like a trampoline on wheels.

I have the DBXLE 2.0, Kraton 8s and Outcast 8s. The DBXLE is my favorite! True 1/5 scale and just has amazing looks 🤩
And as far as actual 1/5 scales RC's the DBLX-E is on the smaller side of 1/5 scale just like the discontinued TLR Five-B

Arrma 8S is the best 1/5 truck and it’s not even close. Traxxas large scale trucks are just embarrassingly bad.
