      Great 👍 Lesson guys! Can you overdo this rotation of the club face and what does it mean if you end up actually overdoing the club face rotation? How do you know if it does get overdone? Thanks 🙏!

      I struggle with and inside take away then get to far across the line maybe a video on width or arm structure would be a good one. Love the channel lads best info on UA-cam

    I was taught this type of release while I got a lesson from the PGA Pro at the first private club I worked at during my transition from hs to college back in the summer of ‘86. 😀😀😀 He was the best teacher.

    Coincidentally I was having a hard time finding a proper release technique and today as I was trying to figure it out at the range , a gentleman suggested this same exact drill . I tried it right away and let me tell you , It Works !!!! It makes you stay down and through with the shot .
    Do not hold lag Gents , it does not work . I did not work for me at all. I was struggling to keep the club face closed . Mr. Fred Couples talks about this release as well in detail .
    Great job guys !!!!

    Great lesson! Thanks. The drills worked great for making good contact, but now I’m drawing the ball to far. How do I get my time correct so I hit a straight or slight draw?

    The swing that is being immulated came out of Orlando FL. I've been working on it for 3 years. I practice at the most played club in Orlando. it's been seen and recorded by many people many golf coaches that see it drop everything they know to figure it out. There is a piece they haven't figured out would love to reveal on your channel in my opinion this is the future of golf.

    I can see now why I push some short pitches right. I knew it was an open face but now I realise that with pitch shots I do tend to try and keep my hands forward at impact...

    I'm 42 w/ a bad back, and it's the release that I gained my yardages. I've been golfing for only 9 months, yet I hit my 5 iron 185yds, 100ft apex

    So funny I've recently tried changing to hold off more on the release and keeping more of an angle on the downswing because i thought this was the rite way to do it too 8:37 things have got really poor and I've just gone back to swinging my way with this more rill release, its better on my back and I just play so much better not trying to follow something that looks a little better . Thanks for confirming this guys.. legends

    I would also do supplement drill, after student understands how hands should work through the swing, where I would tell him/her to think more externally and try to pick a target and draw the ball to that target. It worked wonders for my students in the past. They could then draw, fade the ball whenever asked.

    The main reason for the holding off advice is the weekend golfer does things too early in the swing. Chances are they will release too early too without proper instruction.
    As you say, it’s all about feeling doing it later, I like to say “apply the power after you hit the ball” because that drives the feeling of not doing stuff too early.

    • @Blue_Dun
      @Blue_Dun Місяць тому

      That's not the reason. Milo Lines doesn't teach this because the weekend golfer is doing everything too early. The move they are talking about is what Milo Lines teaches to EVERYBODY; high handicappers to plus golfers. He employs this in his own swing.

    Tips to not help look up early? Bc when I look up I lose spine angle and the path goes straight left and I'm a chronic slicer from baseball

    I struggle with shanks with my irons and heel strikes with my driver and whatever I try do to fix it nothing works. I find the more I try to close the club face worse it gets so I don’t know if am coming over the top, early extension, open club face, to steep to shallow.

    Hi guys. Love your videos.
    A little confused between Drill 1 & 2 though
    Drill 1 you indicated that the club face is turned down after rotations d pointing towards the target, however in Drill 2 you’re emphasizing the tow up with points the face left. Just wondering how to approach these 2 drills with a somewhat conflicting club rotation at the finish of each drill?
    Any advice would be appreciated gents.

      @meandmygolf.  Місяць тому

      The first drill is an exaggeration drill to feel a little more closure. The second drill is more actual where we want you in the swing

    Ahhh UA-cam golf lessons that I see people rehearsing at the course . Tag lines like don't lag , don't sway , this stuff is pure poison 😊 but it keeps me busy fixing broken swings

    This all really comes down to tension. If your arms and wrists are locked up, nothing will ever work and you won't release the club properly. You also won't go to a proper finish position if you're locked up or trying to manually manipulate the club.

    This is a great lesson, but UA-cam is full of bad golf lessons. It keeps people watching. You will never see a numbered series of steps to learn a great golf swing.

    Good lesson and concept but ya forgot to teach how you should release it so that it doesn’t cause early extension and side bend. Chunks. My issue

    I would rather have a beautiful flowy swing like Ben Hogan than the twisted pretzel move that some pros have. It hurts my back even trying to swing like that

    Basically the idea is to get the same swing position on both sides (or: mirror your backswing)

    Oddly enough that “move” has been the best thing I’ve ever done for my golf swing 😂. I think it helps me correct some flaws. I’m sure I don’t come into the ball like that tho.

      That’s what people think will happen but it will only help the body and arms work in a better sequence. Lots of people are trying to take out the hands when they are a crucial part.
