One on my earliest memories of this jam was Halloween night in 91. I was 13. Chilling with some of the homies on the blocc , I remember a 86 regal on 13s coming down the street knoccing this song HARD, and he had a FINE ass female In the car with him! One of them moments that always stucc with me. Couldn’t wait till I was able to play this on my lowrider! Took me a min to find this song, but when I do, I was slapping It in the LoLo a few days later tippin through these cali streets . RIp bIG MIKE,
That's when rap and hip hop was clean and cool, before they came with the gangster rap and talking a lot of degrading s** t, that's when I stopped playing and listening when I didn't have to, today I don't have to !!!
Well that was sort of already around with NWA, Above the Law, CMW and a few others - however the positive stuff greatly outweighed the gangster shit. However, when Dr. Dre’s “THE CHRONIC” album dropped, it significantly affected hip-hop and was the beginning of a decline in positive rappers. That album did more bad than good to hip-hop’s evolution.
