It's gratifying to see Van go from getting clapped by Irvine at the beginning of the series to essentially being a demigod in Guardian Force.
He really comes a long way, I always love a cheeky time skip like that in anime it does wonders for the story

How the liger zero and bit fought the bezerk fury at the end i always thought that the liger would have been nearly unbeatable if he had the shadow fox's stealth and anti stealth tech

Manga Van destroys Bit with ease. Since Van acquired his own Liger Zero and evolved it past any CAS upgrades Bit had.
I'll also pick anime Van just because of favoritism. But then again, while Vega beat 3 geno saurers, the pilots were trash. Compared to a 10 year old raven who was destroying entire bases with real soldiers on a saberfang.
Bit beat a default blade liger but struggled in on the process. Van's blade liger got an AB boost, upgraded energy shield and a boost by zeke by evolving the zoid match Van's insane reaction speed.
I got a theory that Van did managed to evolvr his blade liger and put zeke inside just like in the manga. Which explains why Zero was fond with Bit. He reminds him of Van.
Imagine Van in the Zero. Especially with a custom CAS to add side blades
Just gonna said Van was trained into a Military Environment meanwhile Bit was now in a competitive field sporting tournament, if both are transported to each other eras Bit would rock at the beginning but in the end, he would crack. Van could be cool in all the series. Not gonna lie the time spam also helps I believe NC0 was almost 1 years meanwhile in CC//GF was like 7 years of growth. (I wanna know how Bit would fair as a pilot for the Berserk Fury or if he could even Upgrade that Tyrannosaur)

I personally and honestly believe that Liger Zero is a better zoid than the shield liger and the blade liger, but Van Flyheight became a better pilot than Bit Cloud ever was.
The only thing I dislike about the Zoid/Gundam series is the Political side and Lack of a Terrestrial threat... Humans managed to create technology that can protect humans but are always used to fight humans... Where's the motivation to even create these giant machines...
I'd hands down give this to Van (Guardian Force) too, he was so skilled that it was recommended that Van get a new Zoid. Guardian Force Van plus Zecke is just too much for Bit even with the black box. Viseak do Irvine Lightning Saix vs. Brad Shadow Fox :) or Vega vs. Raven :)
Yeah 100%, at the end of the day Van was a hardened soldier by Guardian Force and it’d be near impossible for Bit to compete with that experience.
I was considering Vega vs Raven, but Irvine and Brad might honestly make for a more interesting fight 🤔 I’ll probably end up doing both tho

Hahaha, yeah, Zoids VS Gundam.... Ooof. I'm still salty that Gundam got to take the adult route while Zoids took the kid route. Their origins were both pretty close to each other. And we have tons of humanoid mecha anime so... Anyways, yeah, its difficult to compare to the two shows. Almost all Gundam are a fair amount larger than Zoids. And unless we use the Battle Story or box art statistics for the Zoids, they just cannot keep up with the speed of a Gundam. Not to mention that Gundam can fly. In terms of weapons, sure they are on similar levels I suppose. I'd like to see ANY Gundam tank a Charged Particle Beam blast.... But as we both know, they'd just dodge it.
As for the main topic though....
I mostly agree yeah. Like, early on, Van was just a naive kid who stumbled across a Zoid. It really was Zeke doing the work most of those times. And with Bit, the first few feats under his belt were also the result of the Liger Zero acting on its own. At that point its more a question of which Zoid is smarter, Zeke or the Liger's black box. Now its most likely going to be a win for Bit over the shield liger because as you said, the shield liger is 2 generations behind. And even with Zeke controlling it, there is only so much that can be done with old technology. The only chance Zeke has is a lucky shield tackle. That said however, when a Zoid is controlling itself, it lacks strategy for the most part. Its inherent instinctual choices are very animal-like and simplistic.
I don't think its exactly fair to use the battle between Leon and Bit as a reference point. Bit winning in the end was a given as he's the main character and we all knew the real final battle was against Vega. Its true that the Blade Liger shouldn't win against the Liger Zero in terms of raw stats, but even up to the end of the show, Liger Zero was always adding its own personality I guess, into the battles. IT was never Bit's skill alone. Where as Van becomes incredibly skilled without needing Zeke by the end.
The Panzer would never be able to hit the Blade Liger, the Schneider would be a coin toss, but given its match against the Elephander and its energy sword trunk upgrade, I think the Blade Liger's glowing blades would win. As for the Jager, yeah the Jager would out speed the Blade Liger 10/10 times, but unless Zero's black box lends some intuition first, Van's skill and reaction times would out pace that speed.
Now if we were to include the manga stuff for Van, then Van wins against Bit every single time without question. Liger Zero Kaiser the King or whatever its called is far stronger than Bit's liger zero.
Yeah Gundams just have way too much going for them, the power ceiling is too high for Zoids to compete 😅
The final fight with peak Van and Bit is such an uphill battle for Bit regardless though even when we take his win against Leon into consideration. Van is just absolutely cracked as a pilot and the Blade Liger itself is boosted to infinity, then you chuck Zeke into the mix and it’s honestly unfair, regardless of what armour Bit uses.
And yeah if we take Caesar The King (I think?) from the manga, then Bits got no hope haha

I haven’t watched Build Fighters yet, the only Gundam series I’ve watched thus far are Unicorn (the OVA’s) and 08th MS Team.
Really enjoyed both but just haven’t jumped back into Gundam since, out of all the Gundam you’ve seen, what would you recommend I watch next?

If you want something more light hearted and fun, similar in tone to New Century - Go for Build Fighters.
If you want something more gritty, almost anything. Although Iron Blooded Orphans is a good bet as it's set in an AU/No prior knowledge necessary

@@Viseak My personal recommendations if you want mature and serious gundam would be Iron blooded orphans (50 eps), War in the pocket (6 OVAs), Hathaway's Flash (1 movie) and Thunderbolt (8 OVAs). If you want the standard gundam experience I'd say the whole UC timeline. If you want something more stand alone but also classic gundam experience, 00 (50 eps) and Wing (47 eps) are good choices. And if you want something more friendly, the whole build quartet is available (build fighters, build fighters try, build divers, build divers re rise)

got to love zoids. They really should do something with new century and/or chaotic century. A small series or just a short movie.
Definitely, I’d love to see just a final love letter/send off to the original Zoids CC/NC universe in the form of a movie or OVA series.
If I ever had the time and animation skill I’d do it myself as a passion project haha
That fight between Bit and Leon is probably my favorite battle throughout the entire Zoids franchise. I want the Blade Liger to win because it's my favorite Zoid but I also want our protagonist to win because I'm rooting for him. And the action itself is just amazing.
Zoids vs gundam video is going to be cool. Anywhere are going to include all timeline such as uc,00,seed and ect. I think zoids will suffer difficult against system such as trans am or zero system.
It will be pretty sweet but I’ll more than likely have to narrow it down a lot and cut out a LOT of the Gundam series because in general, Gundams are a lot more powerful than Zoids and just dominate the battlefield.
I’m still trying to find a matchup that would make a fun/fair fight to base the video around

Great video just one small correction. Where as Van's Blade Liger, Ceasar's, zoid core is placed into a Liger Zero it is actually not an evolution. The Liger Zero is an Empire built zoid that was stolen by the Helic Republic and has is very different from the Blade Liger in many ways as it is actually an evolution of the Empire's Lidier zoid based on wild liger zoids from the past. (Not to be confused with zoids wild, wild liger)
Armored core vs zoids
I’ve never heard of Armored Core tbh, it seems similar to MechAssault which was plenty of fun back in the day.
You're forgetting the Energy Shield, I would NEVER choose the base Liger Zero against even a Shield Liger in Zoids VS 3 when not equipped with ES. In close combat, the Liger Zero will just get sliced apart by the laser blades.
This would be a nice zoid battle between van flyheight vs big cloud
More Zoids vids are always appreciated, nice. Ultimately, just like everyone has said, Van is the better pilot thanks to his years in the military and the opponents he's faced. It could change overtime tho, Bit was shown to be a natural at Zoids piloting, he was able to hold his own in the blitz team with very little time, perhaps with more years of battle experience, Bit would go toe to toe or even surpass Van.

There's a difference between piloting a zoids because you're fighting for your life than piloting it for sport purposes. Van in Guardian force is too much for Bit to handle . Not even talking about the version with 20%+ blade liger capacity and Zeke ...
The ones like Raven and Van got military training. . It's not fair the comparision
100% Guardian force Van is an absolute monster, and I love it because it’s not like he’s special? It’s not like he’s naturally talented either, he could barely pilot a Zoid without Zeke at the start and he just works damn hard, and like you said, he fights for his life to become what he is.
However, at the end of the day, the Liger Zero is the superior machine, with an organoid system, and Bit isn’t exactly a novice either, so I reckon an 8/10 win rate for Van is pretty fair all things considered.
@@Viseak in what way is the Liger Zero superior? It has almost no weapon systems, no defensive systems and compromises spinal integrity for somewhat better flexibility, and is too reliant on external systems and large bases. All it has is the black box system which ultimately only matters if the Liger Zero survives which isn't really a good thing. So how is the Liger Zero superior?

Gundams vs Zoids is kinda easy to be honest. The inescapable fact for Gundams is that they are made primarily for space. That is where they are at home, where their biggest feats and the majority of their battles take place and the environment that their propulsion and weapon systems are designed for. Gundams noticeably become a lot slower and less maneuverable in terrestrial environments. Zoids however are made/evolved solely for terrestrial environments from to how they move about. It is very much like comparing a frog to a cat, in the frog's element it wins but it isn't beating a cat on land. Ultimately whoever wins depends entirely on what environment you are talking about.
As for the comparison itself, Van wins almost every single time. The only advantage that the Liger Zero has is the black box system. The Liger Zero's running stride and spine is less structurally sound and stable in exchange for slightly better flexibility. It has no weapon systems apart from the laser claws, no defense systems whatsoever and it's design is actively less capable of sustaining hits, and it is entirely reliant on an external base. The fact is that the Liger Zero was made for sports competitions, not war and thus falls short of the Blade Liger in every respect. As far as pilots go Bit isn't that good and relies a lot on the Liger Zero's black box to do most of anything. You also cannot simply pick and choose aspects of the manga because that is outright its own continuity. The idea that the Liger Zero is more advanced because it was built a few hundred years later is a massive fallacy and not even remotely true. All the Blade Liger really needs is some modern tune ups and additions and it would be able to keep up with Zoids made thousands of years later. It is an incredibly well rounded and designed commander zoid.
I guess the Organoid system just can’t compete against the genuine article.

Maybe if we used Ceaser the King from the manga on Vans side the match would be a little more interesting though
I honestly wished bit had a longer running series like van. It’s no telling what bit could have achieved. He truly is a legend in his own right.
The prospect of Raven piloting a Berserk Fury is genuinely scary. Personally I would love a new season of New Century, or that movie idea you came up with. Even though New Century is my favorite Zoids series, and Bit is my favorite protagonist, I find nothing wrong with your assessment. I mean there's no denying that Van at the end of Guardian Force is an absolute beast of a pilot, easily capable of taking down superior zoids. Maybe Bit and the Liger Zero could edge him out with several years to decades more practice and experience, but initially, if we take Bit from right at the end of Zero, and Van from right at the end of Guardian Force, I'd say the results of this video are accurate.
Personally, I am of the opinion that if Van ended up flung into the future due to some sort of mishap, once he found out about the sport of zoid battles and got familiar with it, he'd be falling all over himself to first witness it, then partake in the fights. Knowing Bit, I bet he'd be more than eager to help Van out, and that they'd both have an absolute blast battling each other, and even if Bit lost in the end, they'd both laugh it off and congratulate one another on a battle well fought. That's my take anyway, for what it's worth lol.
well the thing you forgot is, the liger zero, with his organoid system predicts the movement and attacks from an ennemie it has foguth before, so maybe he would win vs pre time skip van and lose on the after time skip but it would of learned and be able to predict its movement and attacks from then on , wich could result in the liger imo be the winner with the CAS, wich i think tbh even bit didnt fully use the CAS to their full potential , since he only used the best cas for the situation... tbh i still think the liger is gonna be able to win vs van and the blade liger easy but thats my opinion
I would have point out that the Black Box system/Ultimate X is having an Organoid (it's just permanently fused with it), and this is why no one but Bit could pilot the Liger Zero. Bit also openly from his first fight just lets the Liger do its thing. Early on, both are carried by the organoids.
While the black box is an ‘organoid system’, it’s never shown if it gives out the same power as an organoid, if it did, I doubt the Zero would need the Jager Armour to keep up with the Lightning Saix, as we should be able to compare it to the Blade Ligers Mach 3 speed feat.
I’d also argue his statement in the first fight is him going ahead with the Liger suggesting the ‘strike laser claw’ as an attack, because at that point the liger had no weapons, rather than the liger carrying the fight. In addition the organoid system in NC isn’t even brought up until the last few episodes of the series, so it’s hard to consider how much of an impact it would’ve made up until that point, it’s also more or less stated to learn by loosing, and gaining experience, whereas as far as we’re aware of, the Liger had never fought Saber Tigers before.
It’s hard to determine what the case really was, but I’d personally wager it’s more likely for Bit to kinda just be a natural as a pilot

Hey Viseak!! Loved the vid! Also, I think it would be unfair to put Zoids against Gundams. Gundams are humanoid and have weapon attachments, majority of Gundams can fly and like Organoids/Black Boxes there are some Gundams with different systems like Wing Zero with the Zero system.
Thanks man! Yeah it’s definitely quite an unfair fight, the only way it’d work out would be a 1 on 1 with a really powerful Zoid and a quite weak Gundam.
But it’s proving quite difficult to find that balance haha

@@Viseak well if you want my opinion, go with the original timeline and work up from there, but that's also the largest as well. Iron Blooded Orphans could work, I think it's the smallest timeline. With the other's there's all the manga stuff that was never animated, Gundam's really all over the place
With all the research I've put into it I've never been able to figure out how to put all the Gundam series together into a semi-cohesive story
in the first episode LigerZero was more the one in controle than Bit, so it was more LZ that did and won the battle than Bit.
Edit: also the blackbox is the ultimate X core wich was a zoid core that an organoid perminatly fused into in the past.
This is almost a pointless video. I can tell you without watching the video that Van wins in all scenarios.

The liger zero is the superior base zoid but van is the best pilot we've ever seen in any series with the only other person being debatable is Raven. Overall first scenario bit easily wins 10/10, Second scenario I've got bit winning 7/10 without Zeke with Zeke van wins 6/10, last scenario van stomps 9/10 he's waaay to good at the end of the series also that alternative ending for new century would be sick, turns out they've travelled through time like the zoids GBA games and the class S team is van, Irvine and Thomas or maybe Raven seeing as him and van didn't have beef with each other at the end of chaotic century
I think van with blade liger would be interesting even match but manga van is in other level especially with his liger zero ceasar the king.
Totally agree with everything and that Movie would be amazing.......but i agree Van in GF is too much for anyone really his growth is the best i seen in anime next to Eren Yaeger but for real Van is just so determined you can tell Zoid battles feed this guy

Honestly a vs video on Raven and Van wouldn’t be a bad video idea either, as they never truly got to have a final definitive fight 🤔
I think the only way Bit can win with both guys full powered is if you make the 1 on 1 match into a series or it's done in the same form as the Zoids competition in NCZ. I don't think it would take 9 tries for Liger 0 to beat Van like the video suggest. Keep in mind that anytime Bit and Liger got owned, the next time they faced that same opponent they were equal or better than them because the rate at which Bit and Liger could improve was tremendous and much better than Van's. Bit with the Jager system went from barely touching the Beserk Fury without it's base system to completely owning the Beserk Fury in it's base system with only Liger's "0 base system". Bit never faced anyone like Vega neither but it didn't stop him from completely closing the large gap between them after just 1 fight. Now sure Vega wasn't at his best when Bit fought him but neither was Bit. And Vega still had the advantage in his favor even though he was missing 1 of his buster claws. I don't think Vega's physicality played a role in him losing the fight at all as he quickly regained his breath and composure after using the charged particle cannons on the judge satellites. By the time the final battle with Bit started he was completely fine. Also considering this is a series where kids are routinely fighting on equal footing with adults I doubt physicality has very little to do with anything here. I don't think Bit winning had anything to do with him being able to bring out his Zoids full potential more than Vega because Vega was clearly more skilled than him. I think it all came down to Bit's zero system being able to learn more from Vega because Vega was the superior fighter. And I think the same thing would apply with Van. That's why they were always talking about "unlimited potential" in that series because the rate at which the Ultimate X could improve is ridiculous.
Zoids vs. Gundam...... That is 2 things the 1st is I can already tell how is tell how that fights gonna go because gundams are in it and 2 super robot wars did that and they only did it with one game in the series......Zoids needs to come back in another SRW game! As for the Van vs. Bit fight, yeah I don't see any issues with the match ups and agree with them. The final one I have to give the win to Van because come on, the guy has YEARS of experience and as much as I love my boy Bit, Van just beats him even without Zeke. In the end that was a nice little crossover match and.......Zoids NCZ/1999 movie:The fight for Planet Zi across time! Nah that sounds generic but now I want a movie also instead of a season 2 and finally great use of Yakuza 0 Kuze(I think) boss theme!
Yeah it’s really hard to scale the two because Gundams are just ridiculously powerful, but it’s a fun thought, just need to find a Gundam and Zoid that would be relatively evenly matched to make for a fun and fair fight. Still yet to find that pairing yet though, if you happen to have a suggestion I’m all ears lol
The movie idea across time is definitely generic to say the least, Yu-Gi-Oh did it already but it was great and honestly would be a perfect send off/love letter to the og Zoids series. I’d kill for a movie like that.
Yep it was Kuze’s theme haha, Yakuza’s kinda taken over my life atm, I’m coming towards the end of 3 and have 4,5 & 6 installed on my PS4 ready to go. Still can’t believe it took me this long to play it
