A "session Zero", to me, is more of an off game pre-check before a game than what I think you're describing here... There should always be some kind of session zero tho, so no harm, but if anyone is confused by the use of the term I wanted to clarify!

Good stuff. That "use pre-gens, first time" is a _huge_ thing. Nice vid!

Running my first session as a new dm next Tuesday, thank you SO MUCH for this video!! I feel a lot more confident about the things that i did right in my session prep and I know what I should mayybe rethink for next time 😅 I have a tendency to infodump and I didn’t really give much credit to pregenerated characters until you mentioned how useful they are for new players! I did walk each of them through creating their character and thankfully they didn’t seem too bored by it, phew. I will definitely be using your advice here!

Another awesome video that helps a newbie! From your videos I see it is a lot of work to be that great DM. I'm learning to teach my nieces and your channel has perfect ideas for my sister's family. Just got to hook them in by making it fun and easy ;) This is a huge help in my planning!

Thanks a lot for this. I have recently started a college club on TTRPGs but have been struggling with how to get people to come to sessions or at least be excited to come. And after watching this video I see a lot of the mistakes I have made. Thanks again.

    Some good tips
It is tough to get everyone engaged when you have 11 players. It helps if you have a couple of veteran players to help the new players out.
Always looking to get new people into the game.

Rivers RPG Channel agreed! I even like to make sure to sit them spread out among the new players 😂
