Theory: the man hiding is actually dead (for some reason bound to the house / farm) and people come to visit the abandoned house. i.e the locked door opening without it getting picked and opened with ease (maybe the person hiding thought he interacted with the object?) notice how the scarecrow is whistling like how he knows no one is there, even though he is in the same room as the hider. Or maybe the man hiding is dead and the scarecrow owns the house (as the new owner) so he has the keys to enter the house and isn't afraid to enter at night and also make noise.

Ill continue the story. Its the next week already. It felt like it went by so fast i, i thought i'd have plenty enough time to get what i needed. But its already the night he comes back, I look out the window and see the glow of his lantern. I feel like im going to puke just from fear. I run down the stairs, grabbing a flashlight off the kitchen table and running into the basement. I almost trip down, but i re-gain my ballance. I slam the door shut, i forgot my keys but its not like it even matters, he'll just open it like it never was locked in the first place. I get to the bottom steps and head into a small corridor, i grab wooden boards and my toolbox and hurry back up the damp wooden staircase. As fast as i can i start pummeling nails into the planks over the door, one after the other, i manage to board up the door. Oh god. I hear the whistling. I have to run back down to hide but i cant, my anxiety's locked me to the stairs, i cant move an inch, im too scared. But i have to, my body wants me to run but it also keeps me still in that one spot. I hear the door open. He's stepping in, somehow he knows exactly where to look, i hear the footsteps coming closer to the basement door. In an act of desperation i force myself to lunge down the stairs, cracking them and snapping them open, the stairs give way and i collapse into a pile of splinters and broken wood. Theres blood, everywhere. Pieces of jagged wood are painfully sunken into my back and arms. I let out a short scream, which was enough to convince the scarecrow that i was in the basement. Its over, i hear him stepping right up to the door. But it doesnt budge. The boards stay where they are and the door doesn't open. Then i hear a shatter of glass, and what sounds like fire burning. He smashed his lantern against the door.... Slowly writhing in pain i try to crawl to the small corridor, but the door bursts open, nails and broken wood falling on top of me and the mangled staircase. I see his full face. The fire illuminated his face and im sickened by the sight. The same stitched up grin, but i see his eyes and, his eyes are gone. Nothing but straw. As the fire burns the walls of the staircase the scarecrow grabs his mouth, and starts yanking it open. I watch in horror as the stitches peel and tear open the leathery skin around his mouth, teeth exposing and being nudged by his fingers. He's even worse of a sight, his straw drowned eyes and his bare muscle mouth with nothing but gums and teeth stare down at my broken figure. The fires spread to the point where any second now im going to catch fire. I look at him one last time and yell... "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME!" He had no eye socket his skin was pale and white his mouth was loose open wide and then I saw his full body it had extremely long torso and its legs was the most horrifying body feature its legs were 7 long spikes and then it came closer to me it wasn’t walking instead it was floating as it got closer I can see more of his body features it had a humanoid nose and it had no hair and it had 2 large elf ears and it spoke…… it said in a extremely deep voice “You don’t exist” and it got closer and closer and then I blacked out…… 800 likes for part 3

Coming back to this 4 years later still gives me questions with no answers. Why didn’t Engie leave during the day when the scarecrow wasn’t hunting? Why did the scarecrow spare engie when it caught him trying to escape? How big even is that cornfield? Why does the scarecrow come back every night? How does the engie live in the house if he can’t go outside to get food or water?
My guess would be that he lives in a sort of loop. Like think about it, he said “it’s the final weeknight” so my guess is that for whatever reason, he could be trapped in a purgatory like place, like how it happens every weeknight, how he seemingly hadn’t run out of hiding places, maybe the scarecrow killed him when he ran and he didn’t know he came back from the dead, and was given the memory he was probably spared. I have two theories as to why leaving during the day isn’t possible, either he tries, but just appears back at the house, with whatever food and drinks he had there, just replenishing out of nowhere, or he can, but every day that passes, it resets, so whatever he bought for example, would be like it never happens and so on.

Usually about a week or two when I'm free and if you're really interested in making SFMs, look at some of the tutorials. That's where I learned how to animate.
Theory:the guy hiding is actually in purgatory without knowing every week is just a loop that's why he hasnt ran out of hiding spots is because the scarecrow always checks the same spot also the scarecrow is actually souls of people who have been tormented by him they are getting payback on him making him go insane week by week night by night
Shawn Gauthier. I think the engineer is insane, and the scarecrow is just someone who cares about him. The scarecrow chases the engineer because he wants to know why hes running. Thats also why the scarecrow just taps the engineers shoulder, no hurting or hitting the engineer.
i think that the the scarecrow is someone seeing if he's ok and that Engi is a mental patient who lost someone that he cared about and he sees the person seeing if he's ok is a scarecrow monster

Shawn Gauthier. I think the engineer is insane, and the scarecrow is just someone who cares about him. The scarecrow chases the engineer because he wants to know why hes running. Thats also why the scarecrow just taps the engineers shoulder, no hurting or hitting the engineer.
