Hey man, I think you should review the military per category but from weakest to strongest. For example, you start with levy/slave units and you work your way up to the most elite units. Kind of reflects the availability in-game too.
Thanks for the suggestion mate, sometimes I try to do this with how I display the units but then sometimes the weaker units are actually "better" because they are cost effective. Such as Parthian light horse archers can be more useful then a mid-tier horse archer unit. Although I can definitely try to keep the really high tier elites for the end of each category!
@@Immersaholic That's true, but once you have 3 - 4 provinces under your control you can field whatever you want, providing you have established a decent economy. At least from my campaign experiences.
The details of the faction bonuses are as follows: -15% cost of industrial and religious buildings, +10% income from commerce (i.e. local commerce and maritime commerce) and from industry (mining and manufacturing) -- NB: "commerce" and "trade" are different, the former is from buildings and the latter is from trade agreements), -10 relations with Hellenic and Arabian factions
Huge thanks for this; I was literally waiting for you to make a guide before retrying this campaign. A Basileion Odryson video would be clutch as hell, but whatever you're excited about is good my dude.
@@russ2120 Thanks mate the Odyrisians won't be far either although we've already had the Illyrians be suggested as well so they both will be on the way soon! And yes for Medewi just take Egypt (Make sure they are at war with Seleucids first for ease) then you will have a very easy but still fun campaign.
Really interesting faction of cool black dudes. Tho i dont know how historically accurate those phalanx units, but overall very intricate roster. And a very strong starting postition. I should give 'em a try :)
Definitely should give em a try! I think the hoplites are given because the idea is that they were influenced heavily by the Ptolemaic armies to the North they clashed with. Maybe not historical but it gives them a chance at least.
It will be a massssiivveeee undertaking lol :D I'm debating doing 2 videos just for Rome but we'll see. Also Rome will be saved up for our grand finale of this series!
@@gothboi_6386 I play as Rome a LOT too, but if I went through all the big factions early it'd be a bit of a shame. I like mixing them up, it lets people see factions they otherwise wouldn't even bother trying :)
I imagine it'd depend on what its made of. Often heavy clothing was actually fairly cooling to keep the skin out of the Sun. Although I can't imagine the quilted armor being too cool lol :P
Axemen, axemen, axemen :D They can destroy any front line alarmingly fast, their long range archers can deal with skirmishers and their cav just needs to buy time to let the axes do their work.
Such a shame that these guys have a poor navy. Nothing better than a good ole greek trireme to send your enemies to the bottom of the sea. As always, thank you for making another awesome video!
This is true :/ Although... apparently if you take over the dockyard of a "civilized" nation e.g. greeks, you can build their naval units. I need to test it though!
Is there any mod that unlocks all factions for DEI? this mod has so many units that even if you play a good-for-nothing faction you'll still have a giant roster with many auxiliary units.
i want to play a coop dei campaign with my friend. he's totally new to the game but i'm an old timer. what factions do you suggest? I was thinking Parthia and Baktria
If its just coop? I would say one of you do Baktria and the other India, or something a bit further away like the Medewi. You don't want to be too close though since you'll step on each others toes with conquest.
@@Immersaholic tnx man. btw i don't have some factions in my game like Nervii and Boii and some others. I own all the dlcs except for the campaign packs. Is that the reason or its sth else?

Your always like, yeah so your starting off pretty bare bones. But like everyone starts off with nothing lol. Which I have always found weird because apparently when you start the game everyone is in a state of zero mobilization. When in reality some of these nations should start off with like three 20 stacks to be historically accurate at the year you start lol.
Well the majority of factions start with very little, but there are still a fair few with sizeable kingdoms. Carthage, Bactria, Rome, Egypt, Bosphorus, Armenia, etc. I think the modding team chose to favor gameplay instead in terms of what everyone starts with. It seems to be worth it imo, Ancient Empires of TW Attila seems to do the opposite though and that's going to be interesting when we finally do content for it.
Really? What did those warriors do in vanilla? I haven't heard of them. I was pretty impressed with this roster actually, a fair amount of armor for their own units with a emphasis on fast shock tactics with massive AP potential. Plus nice archers and shock cav.
What faction do you wanna see next for our next overview??
Maybe Saba because they are in Arabia and since you want to cover African and Arabian faction this faction will fit well Don't you think?
