I like what this man has to say. He's got it right. As a life long Protestant, I have a hard time getting my head around a lot of Catholic tradition and magisterium. But as for the scriptural element, Bishop Strickland is right on the money. It seems to me that, unfortunately, there is a long history of Catholicism falling away from scripture, creating a monstrous hierarchy of ecclesiastical authority, and compiling a complicated world centered bureaucracy of theological practices. But, this Bishop is looking past all that and centering back on Jesus, and what Jesus said and did. And, that's exactly where every Christian should be looking. I'm tiered of hearing sermons on "love" and "forgiveness." It's turned into a feel good group hug of hedonistic excess. "Go and sin no more" should be the message. It's certainly the message that needs to be heard today. Everyone has already heard the love and forgiveness part. Now, it's time for everyone to anti up, and get some skin in the game. "Sin no more" is the take away here.
Thank you dear Bishop. 🙏 Sadly over the last 50-60years many have lost the real reason for Christ and His establishment of the Church .. the salvation of souls and lead is to Heaven . Unfortunately, many in the Church have denied this and push forward for a ‘worldly’ church and deny many of the fundamental Truths and Faith that have been handed down from Christ .
Most bishops seem to be under the Dictatorship of Relativism, seeking only "dialogue". But not a Dialogue with God (St. Catherine of Siena wrote about The Dialogue with God.) It's not Fatherless Socialism and Liberation Theology and Fatherless Social Justice that replaces Real Justice of God and man in Christian Society.... Thank God for the few bishops who experience a much deeper conversion to Jesus Christ and His Church, OUR CHURCH TOO!
Please stop saying this love stuff! Jesus hung on the cross for 3 hrs in unbelievable agony for us. We know and you know it too the church has been infiltrated to destroy it. We will not let Our Lord’s Church be destroyed. It cannot be destroyed because Jesus is the church. We will go through very deeply horrific times ahead. If Bishop Strickland is asked to step down, that will show that the Catholic Church has turned away from God.
