Just when I thought a lot of modern day death metal bands were going bland, Winter's Gate has changed my mind.
Thanks for giving me hope, i've been listening to Insomnium for years now and i'm happy to know there's still those bands out there making out to be among my favorites.

Bit more artistic? I still stand by my word that Across The Dark is the best album with the best songs ever. Though Shadows of the Dying sun was very very good,it still didn't beat Across The Dark (for me personally!)

above the weeping world is their best, but i wouldn't argue much for anyone who sides with across either, it's very good aswell.

what's your problem with black and doom metal? It's still Insomnium.. give it a shot you'll probably still enjoy it.. black and doom metal are great genres, branch out.
Does it matter? Bands shouldn't sound the same every album, they should explore new territories with every release.
+xXAscendingPhoenixXx Well simply i dont like these 2 genres. i'm a fan of melodic death metal. And all its shades : old in flames, Dark tranquillity, late omnium gatherum And insomnium . however...i trust them obviously. Just hope They won't exaggerate in mixing genres.
