    Come join me for a quick Tutorial/Overview for programming the Zibo 737 Flight Management Computer (FMC). Please excuse the noisy jet that starts up next to me about a quarter of the way into the video.
    Hope you find this video useful. Blue Skies SimFans!

    What you need to do to make the ZFW match exactly is goto simbrief and edit your 737 airframe. Load up Zibo module and choose the options you prefer (as some impact weights).
    Once this is done you can find the empty weights and enter it into simbrief.
    Additionally you might need to customise PAX weight as different modules count differently.
    Once all that is done, the weights will always match exactly.
    I have done as couple 90-120 minute flights that were predicted so well by simbrief, not only was the timings to within a minute either way, but pulling into the gate and shutdown has been within 10lbs of the predicted fuel use...
    Finally I might suggest try using the avitab on the left to view the PDFs spat out by simbrief. If you use simbrief downloader and setup to download the PDFs to your XP11/pluggins/avitab/charts folder, it will appear there by itself with no effort on your part, once you've create a new route online.

    Any suggestions as to which checklist to use? I've been searching for one but I would like some experienced suggestions. :)

      I use the PMDG checklist. You can find it at: forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/41707-boeing-737-800-checklist-xchecklist/
      Hope this helps! Thanks for watching and for commenting and Blue Skies!

    How come the sids that show up on my Sim Brief don't show up on the FMC?

    • @SimFanatic
      @SimFanatic  3 роки тому

      Hi T.Mint. Unless you export the flight plan from SimBrief and import it into your FMC, you will have to manually program the SIDS and STARS and waypoints. I should have shown that; maybe for a future vid. :) Thanks for watching and commenting. Blue skies!!

      @@SimFanatic How would I export the plan from SImBrief to the FMC? Also thanks for responding.

    • @SimFanatic
      @SimFanatic  3 роки тому

      Hey T. Mint, Simbrief should export the FlightPlan automatically when you click on the export button. When you click the button, SimBrief should show you where it placed the file. I will check it and get back to you. Cheers!

      @@SimFanatic I cant seem to find the "export button" on simbrief.

    • @SimFanatic
      @SimFanatic  3 роки тому

      @@TMint-bg7pl No problem; are you looking at the SimBrief Downloader window? In the top left corner there should be a blue button with the words, "Export Selected Formats" as well as a directory to select where you want the files to download to. Currently I have two files that export from SimBrief (I use SimToolKit Pro which auto-launches my SimBrief Downloader program). The two files that auto-export for me (or I can manually export them using the blue button I mentioned) are: 1) A PDF file of the Flight Plan, 2) the *.fms file (which is the one you need for Zibo/ActiveSky/other). I could probably do a quick "How To" video if you aren't seeing it. Let me know and good luck T. Mint!

    That is NOT how you program the FMC you need to learn how to program DCT routes and how to land and RNAV approach. To say you prefer an ILS landing here is ridiculous. Your AI will be landing from the opposite direction to start with. And 08R and 08L at LV maybe in direct collision course with you landing on 26L.

      Hi there, I appreciate you commenting and clearly you must be better at programming the FMC for the Zibo. :)
      Was just giving those that would like to do a quick flight and ease of programming it to get going. I never claimed it is the correct or only way to program the FMC. There are a lot of better videos out there.
      Thanks again for watching and for commenting. Blue skies!!
