Where to buy RX 5700: amzn.to/2MJ8fS3 - Ігри
Thank you for showing the non XT 5700 some love. Just did this on my Mech OC on the 2020 Radeon drivers. Process was pretty much the same - auto tune it to get a number, jot it down, and build a spreadsheet of your clocks, temps and benches turning everything on one at a time.
Only things to note are that "memory' is now listed as VRAM and displays differently than in the video. Mine wanted me to crank the frequency all the way up to 1860MHz but all that did was add 2 degrees to the mem temps without any real performance boost to just setting it to 1820. Coupled with a healthy fan curve adjustment and the temps are looking real nice.
Please may you help me I couldn't do it in new version :(
@The Lizard Lad
if you still use the Mech OC 5700, would you mind sharing your undervolting settings with the new Radeon drivers? i max the frequency to 1850 and 976 for voltage and my vram tuning to 1820 like you suggested with my pwer limit too 100%
Great video. I just found out quick tip about gpu-z. If you select options on right top corner, you can choose max temp for all with one click.
Great video. I used this as reference to underclock my XFX RX 5700 XT Thicc II Ultra and it worked perfectly fine.
In case anyone is wondering, i went from 2050 Mhz / 1200 mV, max temp 80°C and 240 W (STOCK values)
to 1900 Mhz / 1000 mV, max temp 70°C and 170 W while barely losing any perfomance in the benchmark.
Thank you again for this video!
You could probably get about 10 degrees more off of it if you took the plastic shell off it 🤣
@@axelolord Already did it, I only got 2 degrees off. Not worth it
Thanks for showing the non xt version. I got the stock and like it and will try some adjustments.
i know it's kinda off topic but do anybody know of a good site to stream newly released movies online?
@Abdullah Aarav Yea, have been using Flixzone for since april myself =)
@Abdullah Aarav thank you, I went there and it seems like a nice service :) Appreciate it!
@Graham Ben Glad I could help :)
thank you for helping with a rx5700, you dont find a lot of these
thanks for the informative video ! appreciate the fact that you use rx 5700 and not 5700 xt like all tech reviewer :)
Well, it's very unlikely that someone is using the rx 5700 and not the 5700 xt because $50 is well worth the extra performance gain. Which is why most reviewers use the rx5700 xt, more than the 5700 xt.
@@MrDeathenergy you know it kinda sucks that i have a xt variant
The 5700 non xt is crippled in the overclocking department it has a frequency cap of 1850mhz while the 5700 xt allows you to push to the limits of the silicone. Me personally I was going to go for the normal 5700 but after reading and watching videos on it I decided at this point just to have more freedom with my card to just go the extra $50 and get the 5700 XT and not regret later. I know there is a bois mod for the 5700 that unlocks the 5700 true potential but meh just $50 more and I don't want the risk of bricking.
@@MrDeathenergy To be honest, I could have gone for the 5700xt as $50 more is nothing really but I wanted a cooler card so went for the 5700, also I'm not too bothered about overclocking the card, but I am interested in undervolting it but it looks like undervolting and a little overclocking is doable whiles keeping temps and power under control, so I might look into doing that.

Thanks for showing how to do this step by step, now my RX 5700 is working on max performance :)
That's not max performance.. U have to flash a rx 5700 to a rx 5700xt to get max performance
Joe Stuehmer can you flash the 5700 to a xt nd overclock at the same time?
Thanks for the video. Looking at doing this with my pulse this weekend.
Thanks for the walkthrough. It is a big help
My rx5700xt is pretty good with the auto values 2140 core 950 mem 1150 voltage im happy
My XFX 5700DD does 1922mhz core out of the box on 1193v. I drop it to 1.1v and it's stable. I flashed a Thicc II 5700xt bios and it's basically the same mhz
Sub'd. I appreciate the work you put in.
My XFX Rx5700 reached 7500 out of the box in the same Benchmark (same settings) 0.0
mine is 7730 with the xt bios damn..
i dropped a sub brother i know how to do most of this but this really helped me even more. my 5700 xt msi mech runs great but now i am going to test it out with undervolt and temps already are really good. im going to return my mech and get the xfx thicc III soon and do the same thing on that card
Thank you for the thorough guide video thumbs up!!
i will do a 1300mhz 0,8 mV Undervolt because the card is so cool and Performance still enough for 1440p/60FPS
my score for my MECH OC RX5700 for the same superposition setup is 7610... bios flashed to XT (custom loop)..
afterburner settings: core 1950, volt 1100, memory 1750
Can you do this but in a rx 5700 xt pls.
It's the same bro
I really appreciate the video! Helped me with my new card over the weekend. Cannot thank you enough!
How did you come up with the AMD recommended fan settings? Not sure what I should set my curve to. GPU1830mhz/930mhz vram and 997mV. Should I do auto for fan curves?
Your card 99.9% won't crash if you set the fan curve to auto when overclocking. Now if you're getting into the 90s then you need to manually adjust for more aggressive fan curve because the card will thermal throttle once it starts getting that hot. All your trying to do with fan curves during overclocking is 2 things: Don't let the card crash due to thermals, Don't let the card thermal throttle at all.
Once you have your OC that's stable then og back and set your fan curve to whta you want. I personally like keeping a cool card so I set mine more aggressively than most. I also don't mind the noise because I word totally enclosed headphones.
@@ImaITman yo! Thanks for the knowledge and replying. You rock
@@Arome909 Yessir no problem. Fan curves barring the GPU getting super hot are personal preference. Some people can't stand the noise, which is why most can't stand blower style cards because they really do sound like jet engines when they're running full bore lol.
great video
Thank you!
Can you make a new tutorial for the new driver update?
RX 5700 XT
i dont have global wattman
I am trying to change the fan speed and overclock my Nitro + 5700 XT with Wattman but no luck... Anyone else having issues too ?
Working well for me. Not alot of room to overclock this card though. At stock clocks for me the hotspot is 100c. That's only 5c from thermal throttling. I've found undervolting and underclocking the card to provide more stable fps in game and much better thermals. 75c @ 1.02v and 1920mhz clock.
@@bobb3rdown676 wtf? 100c for me hot spot is 71c on non xt and i have it oc to max
Can I just use the Auto Undervolt for temperatures and call the day?
yes
@@yooanto9465 thats what i did, ill worry about Oc when i get a better monitor lol
thanks for the video! Do you have the rx 5700 reference card? Is it possible to undervolt the reference 5700 to the point its not so far away from these custom cards?
Should be able to.
Great vid thanks a lot!my card is the red devil 5700 is there anyway to unlock the 2100mhz without changing any BIOS? Thanks a lot
So what happens if it crashes after the first undervolt
would you update this video with the new adrenaline 2020 drivers, thanks
How come the stock power draw at 138w is lower than that of undervolted w/o oc? Am I missing something?
My pulse wouldnt go over 1800Mhz core. but my Vram went allt he way to 1860
Is yours also showing up as an 5700 XT at the end of the benchmark? For me it says RX 5700 everywhere but this benchmark
@@deezy_xd Yeah when I did mine it showed up as the xt version
Please someone help me I couldn't do it on the new version 2020. My 5700 MECH OC GP is too hot 80-83 degree in COD:Warzone :(
Hey I recently got the mech OC and my cards running 75c to 80c on gpu junction. Hottest it got on 3dmark was 82c. Idle system temp is running 33c. I don't know how to undervolt should I not use the amd radeon software to tune it? or is there better video card software?
can you do a video of this on adrenaline 2020? thanks :)
its the same thing, if you want to undervolt, just go to "tuning" then make sure you are on automatic, then click "Undervolt gpu" and it will say how much you can set the voltage to.
will this work with mech oc card?
Wow, i have the same question
Can i do this to msi rx 5700 mech?
Please do XT
Coming Wednesday!
i run at 52 temp at indle is this normal?
Are the fans running?
@@BigHeadTech not sure
@@jojiboi4912 that is very much needed info here because if they're not spinning which by default they are set to not spin tell 60ish so is so then yes that's normal as it's only passively cooling but need to know if yours is or is not because is its is spinning then there is a problem
Mine is running at around 40C idle but room temperature is cooler now than it was about a month ago where it was quite warm, the temperatures back then was around 50 so it seems normal the temperatures you are getting.
Like others have said, check to see if your fans are not spinning when idle, if they are not then those temps seem normal and if they are then there is something wrong as they shouldn't be that high when idle with the fans on, I tested it out myself and my temps dropped to around 28C idle with the fans on a low setting.
I think I might do auto under volt as the performance hit is more or less nothing and I always like lower temps, might even try a little overclock but I don't want my gpu blowing up in my face lol.
this is silent or performance bios gpu setup?
I would assume it's performance.
They come in performance mode by default and that's how everyone benchmarks them.
Can i have the link to download gpu-z anyone?
just go to techpowerup.com and visit their download section.
