Random Boredom Jam

- This is what I do when I get bored. In all honesty, I'm still trying to capture a good room sound with my new recording gear. Gear is my 1960 Bassman, 1964 Strat with the new Musikraft neck, 1964 Super Reverb, Sabbadius Maui (Rainbow) fuzz, Sabbadius #1001 (68) Funky-Vibe, Area 51 wah-wah, Area 51 Alienist treble boost, Fulltone OCD GE, Fulltone Supa-Trem (just preamp).
You could tell me this is Hendrix jamming on one of his tapes back in 1970 and I’d believe it
I know you focus in on Jimi but man the news I heard last night of the passing of Jeff Beck really hurt. Extremely talented guitarist. Saw him live one time back in the early eighties. I was truly blown away with his performance. Less than a month later I saw Stevie Ray Vaughan and his band as a warm up to a Pretenders. Back then there was no internet. I never heard of him and his band. Needless to say I was headed to Peaches the next day to look for their albums. I guess I’m getting old with all my guitar hero’s passing on. Thanks for the upload.
Yeah, that seemed sudden but he was 78. It sucks getting old but it can be a great time in life too. It was also shocking that the American media didn't even cover it until over a day late. My 35 year old daughter didn't even know who he was. I heard about it from a British friend of mine. I was also shocked to learn that he had just released a collaboration album with Johnny Depp. I didn't realize they were such good friends. Now I really know what happened to his marriage. He was in England jamming with Jeff the whole time. As my wife and I say now, "we're next" meaning death is getting closer by the day. Live every minute to the fullest. It's still 100% better than having a child die first like Lisa Marie Presley. There have been so many strange deaths happen since the pandemic. WTH is going on?
What convinced me that Jeff was one of the best is when I watched him live at Ronnie Scott's with Tal on bass. That performance was unreal and the other musicians were amazing too.
Your wife is correct “we are next “ lmao it was my 35 yo daughter that brought it to my attention and was asking who was he ? What band ? Then she went to my album collection and pulled out Beck - Ola out and we listened to it. As I told her and my wife I’m amazed Keith Richards has out lived most of these guys. Btw I just read where Robbie Bachman from BTO just passed too. 69 jeeezzee.
@@curtisphilumalee1447 69 is too young. Hell, I'll be 69 in less than 4 months. I'm really starting to worry that this vaccine cause is real. Just too many strange deaths at really strange ages. Either that or it is the beginning of the rapture and it just takes a while for it to gain momentum. Keith Richards is an alien. He's died about 15 times already, jeeeez is right. Jeeez again, I don't think I've ever listened to Ola. I'm listening now. That's my style of Beck and Stewart when they were rocking' in the '60's.
Yeah I tend to agree with you about the random deaths. I’m just 61. I don’t want to get into the vaccine subject but I refused to get it and never caught Covid. Luck or immunity I don’t know. I didn’t change my lifestyle. We have actually lost contact with our oldest daughter because of this issue but I’m good with it. Unfortunately I’ve found out through our other daughter she has been ill several times with Covid and yet talks about being boosted three different times.
I doubt the full truth will ever come out in my lifetime about this incident or the repercussions from it. It is what it is.
Millstap- I love your videos. I still come back to some made so many years ago, just because I don't hear those tones anywhere else. Thank you sir.
Thanks JB. I appreciate it.
Sometimes you just need to jam and let your mind go. That's what I like about playing guitar.
It is definitely a release and makes you forget any troubles you may be having.
Outstanding man
😍😍 love your sound and playing !
Thanks Mikael.
Thank's for sharing, aire in your jams is high, looking forward for new jams.
Cool!
You literally sound like Jimi super impressive
Thanks Anthony.
Sounded great to me!!
It's getting there. I've tried every combination of close mic'ing I can think of but I don't like that sound. I want to capture what I am hearing in the room.
love it!!! Stan is the Man
Stan the Man with the Plan. Lol. Thanks Sebastian. Remember that Paul Simon lyric, "make a new plan, Stan?"
AmaZing

Thank you Mr. Hackatday.
Stan! I want to tell you about this groovy cat named Julian Eric on UA-cam. He is absolutely amazing but only has 1500 subscribers. He is a Jimi virtuoso IMO. He’s from Slovenia and I get the impression he’s largely undiscovered as he plays to small crowds. -Kurt
Hello Kurt. Yes, it is amazing how Jimi is still bringing people together from all over the world, especially in Eastern Europe. I was just made aware of another guy in Bulgaria I think named Alex that teaches all types of songs including Hendrix. His YT name is GuitarForce.com. I see Julijan plays an upside down Strat. I'm working with a guitarist from Bosnia/Croatia right now that lives in Denver, Colorado. He is a lefty and will buy a right handed Strat (upside down). I'm helping him with his gear purchases. Also, today I am working on a video discussing the upside down Strat and Jimi's gift and mission from God. I will be wearing one of my Hendrix shirts. Thank you again for all of that. That's very kind of you. My wife is headed to my daughter's baby "Sprinkle" (not a Shower) for our 5th grandchild so I have the house to myself to do the video. The editing takes a while though. I hope it is as interesting as I think it is.
Do you prefer a fuzz before or after a Univibe?
I've been running the fuzz after the vibe and liking it. I change around occasionally but usually go back to fuzz after vibe.
Captain Coconut revisited
I thought it was Jimi
