"most people go through life trying not to die, I go through my life making sure that I live" -Travis Pastrana
Bird Plan best quote ever
B 1 If that’s what you truly love doing then yes it is necessary to risk your life to truly live.. Why be afraid to die? All it does is hold you back an not allow you to truly get the most of this life
you must be young to put stock into that quote. The fact that he's a father & still feels that way & or says it..makes it clear he does not have ability to make sound decisions. Absolutely a self destructive & irresponsible quote. Kids watch this Travis. Do what you want, but don't put shit out there like that for teens to hear.
Bird Plan 🤔🤔🤔
@@ZakEdwardsOfficial shhuuuuutt theee fuuuccckkk uuppp
Why did you almost die at 16?
Travis: didn’t go fast enough. #respect
he was 13
"Didnt go fast enough." A quote that needs to be on a t shirt
mach 6 Dude that's actually funny
Simple as that
5th wide open
Didn't go Twenty
Fucking legend.
I love how prepared graham is. Travis can start telling a story from a random date and graham follows and knows what he’s talking about
Trav is a gas customer of mine and have known him and his family for many years. He's a really nice guy and when the posse gets together oh Lordy .
He is one incredible individual, the way he has treated his body and still walks is miracle, is he religious? I would be
I think you mean the Circus
what a profound statement he makes right at the end..truly an incredible human being
'how many concussions have you had?'
'i don't remember'
Too many...
I love these graham Bensinger interviews because he really gives his guests a lot of time to speak, he’s not an interviewer that interrupts a lot
"So Travis how many bones have you broken"?
Travis Pastrana: "Yes"
@0:43 such a brutal wreck, I can't even imagine the pain from that, he basically compressed like a spring, OMFG that's hard to watch
Bird Plan any crash where it looks or actually does fuck your back up or neck up is hard to watch for me I can watch someone get their head cut off on the internet but somehow footage like this makes me cringe idk what it is
Tee 420 I think the most fucked part is "I can watch somebody get their head cut off"... idk how anybody watches that shit. This crash was bad... but not too bad, especially since you know hes okay now...
I suffered a similar injury to Travis (though not in quite as an exciting way but numerous compression fractures and a broken pelvis) and it is rough to watch, It takes a whole lot of pressure going down ypur spine to blow out your pelvis.I took me a couple years to get back to the point where I could be even half active and he's riding bikes like a maniac, good on him.
He went need to, that's when the stories start coming out
He dislocated his spine
Pastrana was never the sell out. He is the wildest gnarliest guy on earth. I've had 6 surgeries due to injury and I have no idea how he still does it.
money. Lots of money. He wears all the sponsor merch. lots of money.
I've broken damn near as many bones, torn ligaments, ACL, meniscus, dislocations, a terrible amount of concussions, and I'm here to tell you Travis when you hit my age, your ass will be hurting so bad. I feel every screw, every plate, every break, torn muscles, they all come back to you brother...
pain is real once you hit 30yo😢
Can't help but love this guy and his enthusiasm.
You know, one of the biggest things that I love about Travis is that he realizes that what he does is not a normal lifestyle for the average American. He realizes that if he wasn’t as talented as he is then he’d probably be working in construction with the rest of his family. He understands that the lifestyle he lives is a complete fantasy for 95 percent of people. A lot of the problem this country has is celebrities and athletes not realizing how gifted and blessed they are and that not everyone can make millions of dollars by just throwing a football, or memorizing lines on a script, or playing the guitar. It’s only about 2 percent of the people in this country who even have a shot at having that kind of life.
Ben Coker shut up nerd
I dream I’m one of them too lol I plan on being UA-camr And making action sports and Prank content I’m never gonna stop trying that’s the key to success it could years and maybe i won’t be As successful as I dream but at least I’ll die knowing I tried and that’s all I need
This guy is a badass plain and simple
Travis is a legend and one of the nicest people I have ever met
I don't even care about Pastrana, but you're interviews/questions you come up with keep me watching the whole way through every time
Travis is my hero. No one is more humble than he is
You're a legend Travis! Thanks for everything you gave this world. I only wish for your sake you didn't and don't have to pay for it so bad physically. No one will go down in the books like you brotha!
Blessed with talent and making it through the injuries through your career...Thank you Travis for some awesome entertainment!
My cousin was his jack man when he raced NASCAR. I met him at his trailer he’s a cool dude friendly and very approachable.
Travis, I've followed you since you were the 16 year old motocross phenom and been to several Nitro shows. You have tens of millions of dollars in the bank. Please, for the sake us diehard Nitro Circus fans, walk away from the super dangerous stuff while you can. Stop breaking records. We love you and want you around for a long time.
cody piscitelli Thats the most selfish shit I've ever heard, let the man live his life and what he loves you can never tell another man to stop what he loves thats bullshit
cody piscitelli nah he needs to stop he's had so many hits and he's done enough, he's slowly backing down
cody piscitelli doing jumps and ramps on dirt bikes is his career and life, he cant just walk away. If he were die doing what he loves I think he would have wanted it that way.
K1ke2001- really what do u think his kids would say?? Right on dad, we are so glad you died when we were so young!! Now we don't have any memories with you!!. So glad you entertained the world and left us behind!! Wah-hoooo 👍👍
Cody Piscitelli it’s not for the money. It’s the experience
Travis is one of the greatest humans to ever breathe. Period
This man will do anything to entertain people
True legend right there he's a man with many talents
Such a great man
This dude is legendary
He is literally *built* different.
This guy is a legend but I can’t imagine the pain he’s gonna feel when he’s older. True legend Travis🤘🏾
that was a flawless interview lol, travis killed it
What a legend !!!!!! ❤️🙌🙌🙌🙌
One of my earliest memories is seeing him in person.
Thank you Travis you are amazing human ♥️
“Most people go through life trying not to die, I go through life making sure that I lived.”
some people are just meant to do what they do... he’s the perfect example
How does graham not have more subscribers? He has great interviews!
This guy is a Legend
for sure a legend in the world of extreme sports.
love that comment, "most people go through life trying not to die, I go through life trying to live"
While it is difficult for most to fathom, and not the choice I would make for myself, I totally understand why someone like Travis Pastrana would choose to risk serious injury. I applaud the guy for choosing to live the life he wants to live, without regrets!
I remember reading about Travis in DirtRider magazines when he was 12 riding, racing and stunts on an RM125. Awesome Crazy Life.
Look at his knees, sitting they bulge out
Damn...
Bilateral total knee arthropasty
i 100% agree with pastrana that concussions are the most scary thing. i did skateboarding for years and now feel like i have short term memory loss or blank spots.
BroToPro had 3 concussions and ifeel the same! i noticed it more when italk itend to stutter more now and have a hard time thinking straight
BroToPro given that you said that you “did skateboarding” I’m inclined to not believe you🤔🤔🤔
danzig mcnaniel i thought the same thing exactly
this is my gf youtube channel but i have fallen of a snowmobil at 90 or so the doctor said i should avoid getting hit in head again cause it could kill me. easly not to mention memory loss and blank spots
I have had 4-5 bad concussions, but I had one 8years ago, that changed my life, I have not been the same person since. So be careful out there 😊 be sure to wear a helmet 🙏
What a legend
“Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, “Wow what a ride!”
Been watching him for...ever being the family lives just a couple miles away. Travis you can walk away. You have done it all. Take what's left for you and yours. If not, try not to break anything.
I’ve yet to break anything (thankfully), but have sprained my body in so many places and have had other injuries including a spinal compression injury and a torn labrum in my hip which required surgery. My body hurts enough. I cannot imagine how he feels every day!
I have been thru back fusion surgery and it’s horrible, 👍👍 trav’s a BOSS💪
The worst wreck I ever had was when I was 16 I had a yz 85 but my dad had a yz 250 and I decided i was gonna take his bike and ended up smacking into a giant oak tree doing about 60 my shoulder was horribly dislocated and got a compound fracture to my collar bone I rode the bike back home and made my 15 year old brother drive me to the hospital
Check out his bowling ball knee caps at 1:09
I only noticed it because I remember reading he can't walk unless he shoots his knees up with fluid or something.
Tony Roberts good god they are fucked, he's gonna be a fragile bastard if he lives to be an old man
I rode dirt bikes for fun but had a friend who along with his family put everything into building him a career. While out joy riding and not even pushing it a bike in front of him kick up a rock that hit his knee and it basically exploded. Ended his short career and 25 yrs later he still limps.
Knee Pads? Any decent knee pad/ it literally must have been a boulder. Any 4 stroke bike now, is a pitching machine when it comes to rocks.
JIMJAMSC damn, I would look into surgery if he hasn't already that might help especially since its been a while and things have improved but thats why it's important to wear knee braces/pads
Travis is a absolute legend there will never be another pastrana.
there will always be more idiots willing to throw themselves off a cliff
I faced a jump once where I thought I broke both my wrists but fortunately did not. It took me 8 years before they felt normal again. I can’t even imagine how painful his later years are going to be. In retrospect, most people die never even having lived any life or taking any risks. I. Think Travis is making up for all of them. Talk about an overachiever.
This is a hero!
Travis is awesome.
I’ll keep watching...
Travis is going for another medal, best zit!
I've put my body through a lot of pain. Nowhere near what Travis has experienced but this I can tell you. There's going to come a day when his body starts to hurt so much that he's not going to be able to do the simple things. And that day isn't that far off for him. I just hope he still believes it was worth it.
I'm there from years of BMX and it was worth it
Life is fucking boring you need to push it to feel anything mundane living is for suckers
I know the feeling I've had a lot of injuries in my life riding something with 2 or 4 wheels and I've broken a lot. I'm 63 now and I'm in pain everyday but you got to push through if you don't it will take your life and I'm not finished yet
To him it is worth it. You cannot take someone like him and expect him to be happy playing it safe. He will pay for it for sure but he will never say i wish i would of lived more in my life.
@@mikepalmer2219 travis didn't know better. he was always gonna chase that feeling, he's simple minded. When he gets older he'll chase that feeling in drugs and probably overdose
he's had a crazy life of adventure but I'm afraid he won't be able to walk by his early 50's.
that's the price you pay with these action sports. if you don't shoot yourself from the brain trauma...I dig these guys and the stunts they pull, but I do not encourage anyone to do this as a career, it's only for those who LOVE it and are willing to pay the price...
He has to eat pain killers like candy. At 50 he'll have a portable morphine drip. He doesnt realize it now. But his life of hell hasn't even begun. RIP
Life's short....may as well live it!
rex4023 yes I have. he's in bad shape
Jeremy T 1982 i think he'll fine, hes made it this far and he hasn't gotten injured in a while and with modern surgery he can probably get it fixed
I have seen everything he has done. Im a huge fan but if he hadn't done all this with all the injury's he would have won the infinity race this past Friday and probably got third in the 400 on Saturday. He has got that much talent on oval course tracks
That last sentence made me reflect on the last 40 years of my life, and suddenly I'm filled with many regrets.
never heard of this dude but i can already tell he is a majorrrr badass and is really well spoken and seems pretty bright. good guy
How have you never heard of Travis Pastrana?
DaBesFish Travis is the most bad ass that's walked this earth.
DaBesFish wtf? How haven't you? You must never road dirt bikes or watched tv. Or lived
He's like the Bruce Lee of the freestyle motocross industry
64maxpower hes probably 10
damn what a quote to end the video!
he's so cool
One tuff dude for sure
I never respected any MX rider like I did Travis P. Dave Thorpe in the 80's but that's it. TRUE Ridah
Every father would be ecstatic to have a son like Travis..
Every mother would freak out.. 😄
What a true professional and fantastic athlete. He knows he gets paid ALOT to do what he loves. No sense of entitlement. Maybe the so called other pro’s in other sports need to look to him for guidance
I just wrecked my bike pretty bad,
Watching this makes me feel better haha
Can't wait to get back out there
I remember an interview with his dad. His dad said "I'm going to miss him". Glad that never happened. For me Travis is hard not like.
Pastrana is flat out crazy... it's that simple!
Legend
This guy is insane !!!
This guy is beyond loaked badass dosent even come close to describing Travis Passtrana
Concussions are NO JOKE, that’s the injury that keep’s on giving long after your career is over!!!!
You could tell that question makes him a bit uncomfortable to think about.
dang.. most people go through life trying not to die, I go through it making sure I live
Travis is a walking “barely” miracle 👍🏻
Hes right...everytime I get up and limp I say...RIDING IS LIFE!!!
Listen I'm 31 and I feel everything our olders are right look after your body
legend
I have a set of knee armor of Tony’s. Love them!
That last part needs to be a quote.
The 🐐!
I just over shot a corner on the kx 500 and broke three ribs and collarbone and I jumped back on my bike and rode it home lol and it was worth it u love and learn I'm starting rebuild in 2 days
That crash he had as a 15 year old was similar to the one that paralyzed Bob Gill when Gill tried to jump Appalachia Lake in 1974. Spine went through his pelvis.
Travis Pastrana deserves a episode in Mad Lads, legend
The footage from the left side was my mom's I was sitting with her. I watched this happen and the noise he made smashing the bike was horrific! I thought he was dead and the vibe at lake Havasu diet after that wreck. But watching the ogs hit that gnarly course that evening was the sickest freestyle event I ever seen Metzger whopping a fat Booter over the bowl jump was insane. Cinq, Hart, and other OG's made it what it is today
He's gotta be a contender for most injuries in human history.
Wow!! It's incredible this guy can still walk 😆
Wish i could hang out with travis.
Travis is my generations Matt Hoffman, both true legends!!
well if you see him walking now he looks like he is in so much pain
Much respect for Travis. Evel K. Holds record for most bones broken in a lifetime 433..will Travis beat that?
My version of the ending quote is "Life is a destination, not a journey."
I have had 2 concussions, one that wasn't that bad and one pretty bad one. I lost something around 10 seconds of memory and my reactiontimes worsened a bit and my sense of taste worsened just enough for me to notice it and my sense of smell got alot worse than it used to be.
This was a face plant from 4 meters down on hard packed snow, almost ice.
Um...ok
Only the good die young Travis!!!
The Man Pastrana
This guy just makes me wanna get on a dirt bike and do a back flip...
Can’t be that hard he does 2 of them... right🤷🏽♂️😂
Do it! Peep @trevorjacobs channel and you’ll buy a bike lol
Gotta Love The No199.
Travis and I actually have the same Birthday. Travis is nutz. Lol
Holy shit !! 😬 14 hitting that jump ??? Fuck !!! What a stud !!! Wow , just wow 😳
Mr Pastrana you are a fucking legend.................
