love to see people still giving these babies some love. Do you know if anyone is accepting repairs atm? I have a ers7m3 whose battery bit the dust recently 🙃💕
Everyone in the community told me aibo clinic no longer exists as a repair service, which is very sad. There are two people I know of who are trustworthy for aibo repairs: Wickedsunny in the US and Ebi in Europe (those are the names they go by on the robotcenter discord). Wickedsunny pinned my ERS-7’s hips when they started slipping and fixed a strangely broken head sensor that stopped working during shipping. Very happy to have my ERS-7 home!
Great video! I just unexpectedly got one of these for 35$! Hope she arrives here well... It's my first aibo. Sadly she doesn't have any memory stick or battery, and her charge station doesn't have a wire. I wanna name her Nova if the name isn't taken
This is an amazing video, and it helped me a lot! I hope this isn’t an annoying question, but I’ve been searching all day and I cannot find any leads or answers to it; how do I wipe an Aibo-ware memory stick, so I can raise them from the start again? I plan on getting one second hand, but I’ll have to wipe the stick myself which.. I have no idea on what to do with it :( and I’m a little scared of accidentally butchering it.
You can reset your aibo's memory stick to any stage pretty easily using Aibotool. You can use either a windows pc or a Sony clie, either one will work. You'll also need a Sony branded memory stick reader/ writer. Here's a tutorial on how to do that here: www.aibohack.com/123/aibotool.htm you also probably want to make a backup of your stick as well, just drag and drop the contents of the memory stick into a folder on your pc. Good luck!
I’m back! I hope again, that this isn’t an annoying question, but I have gotten an ERS-111 with working batteries, and she ran completely fine yesterday.. up until her battery ran out and I put her on the station. I haven’t been able to start her up since. I switched out the batteries, took out and put in the memory stick, tried booting her on the station and off it, nothing.. even switched the outlets. The ring around the button won’t light up either. I am very worried, and also confused. Did both of her batteries just die within the span of one day? If so the charging station lights don’t flicker. They turn green after a while but go back to orange/red when you take them out and put them back in again. I’ve tried asking other people about this, alas no answer : (. I really wish to see her run again, she only worked for the first day I had her.. I’ve even tried the jumpstart method.
@@diesaur it's possible the battery drained past the point of charging up again. If the jumpstarting method didn't work it's likely the batteries just died and will need a recell. You can try the Jumpstart method again with longer inbetween times to see if it'll catch that charge. Leave the battery in for 10 minutes, take it out, put it back in again and repeat until the light turns solid. You can try this for longer as well. 10, 15, 20 minutes. (Do this in the sub battery slot and not the aibo) if that doesn't work you'll likely need a recell. You can also try getting a paperclip to hit the reset button, and make sure all the limbs are snug to the body, sometimes 111s can shake their limbs loose which causes them to have trouble booting
I’ve got to say thank you. Somehow the reset suggestion fixed whatever she had going on - and she’s running fine now! I still wonder what was wrong, but thank you so much. I didn’t even know the reset button was a thing, so I probably would’ve never figured it out without your help!
I have the ers111 and got a supposedly new battery.. but when i put it on the station, it turns green but then it makes a deep beeping sound.. i watched the video a few times but didn't see anything about this :(
Is this the sound you’re hearing? ua-cam.com/users/shortskgsSDIp5l6o?si=IuBVhk4vqo95wHCx Make sure your aibo is powered off when charging (the pause button should be pressed in) and the terminals are properly connected. There should be 3 lights on your station. The POWER light will be green when plugged in, even if nothing is charging. The MAIN and SUB lights should be solid orange when charging and solid green when charged. If you’re only seeing the green POWER light then your aibo isn’t connected to the station properly. All 3 lights should turn green when your aibo is finished charging.
@therobotspa its more of a consistent beep rather than a melody! Also i pushed the button in as you instructed cause it was pushed out. The main battery charge light is flashing orange rather than staying orange
@@mocchan5215 that consistent beeping is your aibo attempting to boot. Flashing orange means either a bad connection or dead battery, but if your aibo is trying to boot up that’s a good sign. Make sure the terminals on the belly of your aibo are clean and connected to the station. It might take some readjusting. If that doesn’t work remove the battery and try the SUB slot. If the SUB slot also doesn’t work you can try to jumpstart the battery by putting it in the SUB slot, waiting 30 seconds, taking it out and then repeating this 10 more times. If neither of those things work you might need a re-cell.
@@Lizuma Thanks for letting me know. I have no clue what stage or even software mine is running, but if that's the case I suspect mine is also still in puppy stage.
@@sleeplessengineer1450 It’s just regular aiboware if they’re growing up. The other official softwares are hello aibo and party mascot. Hello aibo gives a already grown up aibo without needing to raise it and party mascot is just minigames.
This is a great vid! I'm so glad folks are making replacement ears.
I am too! The ers-111 I’m getting needs them!

haven't seen aibo content in a while, very helpful!
Thanks for this really informative guide! I have a ers-1000, Roxy, and am interested in getting a ers-111 next! Aibos are so fascinating

I was just emailing sunny today about doing a 111 recell.

I really liked this video! Great job 💖
such a nice guide!! always love your videos, they're so wonderfully put together
i love aibo so much and ur vids are such great sources of info, Super concise and accessible!!!!!
Yay! Super excited to watch, even though I’ve owned my 111 for a while haha always room to learn more!
Can you make a guide for the ers-210 or ers-7? I’m looking to get one of them next now that my ers-111 is gonna be coming!
I love the bit "they only speak robot" lol. Human language is clearly inferior

Where can I get a fan made sound controller? I've never been able to find an original sound controller on ebay
Where is that commercial for aibo ers 111 from?

I can't get my 111 to chase pink. Is this somehow disabled on the sound controller I'm missing?
Mine didn’t chase pink until she grew out of child stage. As far as I know the controller has nothing to do with it
