Well thank you so much and also today’s your lucky day. I am literally rendering a video right now that’s going to teach you about mixing it’s a short one and it only shows you one of the many techniques that I use. it’s a subtle thing but I find it to be really important. I’m gonna drop it later tonight stick with it and you can check it out. The things I’m going to be showing you guys are going to be the things that make her break a track. I’m not gonna be showing you guys things you can already find on the Internet. I’m gonna show you the things that I had to figure out on my own. Also, you guys can always feel free to drop questions in the comments of things that you’re looking to learn and I’m gonna try to make this a weekly thing for everybody.
@@no_damage Dude thanks so much for responding that is awesome of you. I just went to see if I could snatch Trash2 and its not longer available it seems like :(. But I will definitely be around to see more of your content and its also nice that you reply back in the comments!
@@travisstewart769 that’s gonna be in my playlist titled Tutorials. I should really update it, but there’s still a lot of really good stuff that I still use an implement in my mixes.
You were the first dude to comment something nice on this and I’m coming back to this, because I’m going to be releasing more mixing techniques that I use. I’m dropping one in like an hour and it’s an easy technique but you have to have good ears to hear the difference. I’m going to be showing you guys things that actually make a good mix and when to use them. I’m gonna try to show you guys stuff that other people are not doing and showing you. This isn’t like how design a skrillex base there’s too many guys out there already doing that and in my opinion doesn’t really help. So I’m gonna be showing you guys mixing things.
@@no_damage You are a god send man. I know Its always a BIG secret, and respectfully so. but man Im not giving up, I have decent heavy tracks but they don't hold up to the beef of these, the BALLS if you will. I am a huge fan of your work off this video, thank you for touching base! Looking forward to the informatioanl video, will check it out and leave a comment! Cheers pal
@@NlCKELODEON truth be told I’ve never worked on a song completed the production and a reasonable amount of time done the first pass of a mix and master, and it was at the level of these tracks. These are songs that I’ve massaged for longer than I’d like to say, and I feel like that’s how it goes with any track that you care about. I’d be mixing tracks and tweaking the master up until the point of release. If you listen to the sonics and master on the songs in this video versus the song you’re gonna hear and the next thing I drop it’s from the same production but I’ve upgraded the mix significantly even beyond where it is now. So whatever you feel about your songs, we have all felt the same things every single one of us, Skrillex included.
I’m dropping one in like an hour it’s a really subtle technique that I use a lot and you have to have good ears to hear the difference but it’s one of the many things that I do that allow me to get the master sounding good. So it’s a mix thing.
heyyy, insane thx ! just a quick question, after you freeze your midi called "wire" and play the warped audio, it sounded less muddy and even more better, but i don't see any post process in the audio track, so i wonder what happenned ? cause i defo sound better than the midi one !
In that last track for instance.. Would you put trash on literally everything? Because why not right? compress the sub and drums with it too? how did you give that fullness and head room?
I definitely be using trash and almost every track even the drums and even on groups. There’s something about iZotope that allows for really crazy loudness in saturation. I think one of the secrets to me is I use this one plug-in from Universal audio on my master, it’s a tape simulation plug-in. It’s called art-102. It’s a tape saturation. I honestly don’t think I could live without it on the Master.
@@no_damage Dude, That tape simulation thing might just be the secret ive been wondering about too! I always hear this subtle "Hiss" in his tracks makes it sound like it was recorded live with real instruments.. like the tracks sound so real and alive. Im going to look into hearing that plugin, thanks for the info chief!

until they ditched Trash 2 on Mac M2 :( :(
I think trash has been discontinued I brought it the weekend before they stopped it
Make your opening phrase the title of this video and watch the views go up. Just saying.

Hey Nodamage, how do you manage with the sub of those samples?
I change the sun from the samples to a serum or massive sine mixed with a saw. Heavy compression and ott.

Try rift. Make a fx rack and separate the low mid and high frequencies. Give each range it’s own rift.
