An avocado has on average 240 kcal so I don’t think its ridiculous. You only gain weight if you aren’t actively burning enough calories. Consuming less calories is just unhealthy and negatively effects your body’s function. So calories shouldn’t be the sole indicator for ‘healthy’ food.
Calories in, calories out, that's all that matters, it's all math in the end, all the diet plans be damned. Vegan stuff has to have lots of calories because it wouldn't taste good otherwise. I’d need to carry a days worth of food… and another 2 to 3000 calories to replenish
Mark Beaumont who’s a pro in ultra distance has 8k plus calories a day on a ride
The weight of carrying a days with of food on a bike is easier in these high density calorie filled snacks
It def adds variety to the gels, powders … and they are harsh to eat. Really unpleasant… these snacks sound great
"i got an intern", which means free labour
Like an intern she said I wonder what she meant
"JUST an intern too". Really undervalued the intern
That would be against minimum wage law. If somebody is doing a job that would ordinarily be paid, they must be paid at least the minimum wage.
Perhaps its just because its local, but I have seen these products stocked in stores, and they're quite good to be honest. I hope for the best for her, but I understand why the dragons didn't invest on this day.
Not lying is actual guts. Lying is the easy way out
9:43 yes, yes, yes, exactly what I was thinking
I think the biggest red flag is when she came in dressed like an oversized 3 year old. What on earth is she wearing
As soon as she started going on about her personality I just knew she didn’t have the numbers or the business acumen to get the investment.
Clever girl raised on a diet of love island and Britain's got talent
"It looks like something"... oh really Peter I would never had guessed lol
"Fake it until you make it"
- Elizabeth Holmes
Seemed like Peter was only one who fully grasped the "fake it till u make it" line. Rest of the dragons didnt seem too bothered by it.
Free from "chemicals".
How do you manage that luv.
Sara was right, already had my mind made up within the first two minutes. The arrogance, dressing like a baby at a business meeting, pushing the vegan product? I'm sure she's not, but she just came across as the type of lady that has complained at every restaurant she's ever eaten at. 🤭
Yep it appeared like she thinks being driven is to be self obsessed and to lack humility
Agreed and the annoying vocal fry did not help either
I could not agree more!
Jewish bless her
I bet she does!! Can you imagine going to dinner with her when she's placing her order......?
Something weirdly annoying about her
yeh it was here cocky attitude and her annoying (very annoying) voice.
Oh the wise Peter Jones,
"Looks like something."
Brilliant. 😆
I think he meant "looks like poop" but obviously didn't want to say that on camera or in front of other people.
But it's true, chocolate looks exactly like poop.
Anybody that say's fake it til you make it is not 100%
Always like checking out companies house and the internet to see how these companies are doing
My name is Jenny and I'm not on this season.. and for that reason I'm out
Missing you. 😥
I’m not well versed in business but can someone tell me what a turnover is
As a strawberry grower I struggle with a 6 week shelf life being short
If I was a dragon,I would consider a business like this a punt and probably give her a chance save for that "fake it till you make it statement" which I don't think you should use when pitching to a group of investors.
yep being apart of the market she is aiming at.. when something is a good whole food based treat we go wild and businesses can boom in growth (think of naked what has boomed over the past 5 years)... i think this company has a chance and i think they are going to regret not investing. i would happily buy this product to try her company out.

Sara humbled her 👏
4:11 175 calories on those tiny biscuits? That's ridiculous
Mostly in the form of oils and nuts and seeds. At least it's very protein-rich. I didn't see the nutrition label, but I'm _assuming_ there is lot of protein.... if not then they are empty calories and empty calories are bad. Calories chock full of protein is great though.
@@itszenbaby Eating a whole avocado will get you through till lunch... Those 2 tiny biscuits will get you through till your avocado to get you through till lunch.
@@FEE8Tth8BEA8T you eat an avocado for breakfast? I don’t skimp on food 😂 I’ll have porridge, fruit, toast, yoghurt all before lunchtime just so my belly doesn’t rumble at work.
@@itszenbaby some people have to consume less calories for their health. Use your brain
Nice to see she dressed up for the occasion. So professional👍🏼
True, she was dressed to take kids out to the playground after pre school 😅
It’s her brand, her image. Not everyone wants to dress like Peter and Deborah
@@aa4488 A bratty, scammer, arrogant and narcissist that thinks her image is influential enough to drive the entire business. So damn happy she failed.
@@aa4488 Her brand is the food, not dressing like a millennial. If a guy walked into the den dressed like that Peter would have teared into him.
@@elobiretv
Well shame on Peter for showing inequality
Pretty sure she was taking out all those ingredients because she didn’t want to spend money on silly things like ingredients or baking & because the products tasted so bad they had to include a tonne of sugar to make them palatable😮
How can you have caramel in a raw bar? Sugar has to be heated over 100C to make caramel.
Because she’s a liar and narcissist
Blended dates are a similar taste and texture
It's like with every 'Nakd' bar. They mash up some dates and some 'flavouring' and call it Pecan Pie or Bakewell tart. Pretty cheeky.
How are investors criticizing her for not having enough money to scale the business??? That’s literally what she’s there for
That is what everybody goes on for.
Because they probably don’t see a potential return on the business if they invest.
The dragons invest in businesses that are already full formed and just need a cash injection to expand. Evie's business is most definitely not fully formed - she didn't even bring prototype packaging into the den for all her products.
If she isn’t making enough profit to grow the business then yeah that’s a reasonable concern. It means it has no natural growth out of demand which is a big red flag.
Her response was to “fake it till you make it” when asked how she was going to manufacture extra product for larger companies.
To say how much she bigs herself up as an asset and the face of the brand, I find her very unlikable.
She was scrambling to formulate an answer to Deborah’s question. I really don’t think she is arrogant at all. Just trying to answer well and probably missed the mark a bit with that question
@@helenlouis5560exactly. People just want to hate
She's got a future, she may not be ready yet but she was happy to take feedback, no argument, just constructive criticism.
I am the face of the brand you can't copy that !!
Sara rolls her eyes..
I think she's great but would be really hard work ..
"Cash is King" - and that's BINGO!
True
How many calories does it have? I’m curious now
Love Peter Jones so honest 😂
She really just wants to be an influencer on social media who happens to sell vegan bars and cookies
What’s the problem with that? You probably follow a buncha ig “models” that post their t.ts. At least this girl is trying to do something worthwhile.
On just about EVERY episode on here the presenter says "Peter Jones has been unusually quiet" No; it's when he makes a noise it's unusual
They're saving money. They paid the narrator to say that once and have been replaying it ever since to save money on giving him more work. You know it's true. I bet if you watch multiple episodes you will find that it's the exact same pre-recorded line.
How is it so calorie heavy if it’s raw and natural & no sugar ???
"Fake it til u make it" I wouldn't want to do business with someone like that...what else is she faking?
"Looks like *something*" Absolutely phenomenal Peter, incredible observation
Probably trying to get rid of the coconut in his mouth
- He liked the salty caramel but not the others
- when Deb's shot showed the bars, it looked like 2 of 3 had a lot of coconut
- so I'm assuming Peter doesn't like coconut
Social media is full of people like this.
“Fake it ‘too you make it” just sums up all that’s wrong.
It's really cool that she's got this business going at such a young age. All the best to her. Maybe it's quite early in the business.
If you listened she's been in business for 3 years, and only turned over 30k....
If a man walked in dressed like that Peter would have had a go! Also the narcissism is strong with this one! 👎
This girl is better off being the customer support for her own product
Definitely
Peter Jones has been unusually quiet, little did the other dragons know, Peter poisoned the other dragon's treats leaving Peter to be the only dragon to invest in every future pitch coming to the den.
I don’t actually see an issue with her outfit if that’s what makes her confident. The outfit wasn’t the issue, it was her business plan
This could also be a great, lightweight option for hiking/camping.
She wears big glasses she doesn't need and pink bib and brace to appear quirky.
All she needs is diapers and shes just a really misunderstood baby thats grown up!
"Looks like something". Look out David Attenborough. This bloke is going to take your job with his incredibly technical ability to describe what he's looking at.
It's not that long ago that Peter would have tore her a new one for not wearing a suit and tie
1:48 why WH SMITH??
That's a book and stationary shop not a snack shop
They do have snacks and sandwiches too
@@alexturlais8558 just seems like a weird shop to go to instead of trying for tesco or morrisons or something
Her personality??,, where??
Can anyone tell the theme song at beginning of video pls???. It's fire 🔥🔥🔥
I thought she was going to a deal. I was surprised she didn’t, but I think it’s just an overcrowded industry.
Can someone tell me what accent this is so i can stay far away. I hate it.
It’s like a poshed up Manchester accent, not an authentic one
Why did Sarah ever leave I love her
