You could pair that worm with some of those mini books and it's a bookworm! I could totally see those mini books that you made sideways and then One of the caterpillars on top, maybe with some words all over the caterpillars
The ant looks like it is in the “thinker” pose! They’re all so dang adorable 😊 the mantis looks like it’s wearing high heels, and the big caterpillar give patch work quilt vibes!❤
I really liked the format. I prefer having the before-and-after in the same video, which helps us, with less imagination, resolve the issue immediately. However, I also appreciate the last format because it makes the audience look forward to the following video.
The caterpillar reminded me of a old quilt. It was 100% my favorite also. They were all so cute. Great job Shelby! Glad to have you back in my videos. Definitely understand taking the break while opening the pottage.
Each one was darling Shelby! Favorite is the ant posed as the famous statue by Rodin The Thinker. The blue made it very thoughtful. The worm and grub made me happy too. Oh yes the new format works so well, get to see it open and decorated. 😊
I loved the mantis! I can understand why you had technical issues with it but I think it turned out great! And this format was wonderful to follow along with, it had great flow between each mould with the final reveals at the end.
First-- I could watch you paint perfect circles for hours! I k now that's hours and hours of practice, but you make it look so easy! I love your idea with the incense! I also think the snail would make a good piggy bank piece. And your idea about the cinnamon roll-- do a whole set of baked goods! The grub could be a croissant! A muffin love bug? Breadstick mantis! Fun stuff.
I loved this video format. The way you painted the wood grub looked like a worm curled up in a home-made quilt 😊. My favorite was the Absolom caterpillar piece. I loved its colours and eyes with the lids. So creative and adorable. I know you are an artist but I'm always amazed and impressed with your colour choices and patterns.
They turned out to be so cute! ‘Crispy’ to describe a glaze is my new favourite thing btw 😂. I love that little worm, n’awww. Incense caterpillar would be SO cool!
These are my favorites in order and why: Mantis - I love the realism of the colors and the cohesiveness Ant - Blue is my absolute FAVORITE color and I love the usage of all the blues. It's just so stunning Worm - I love the design of the worm and it's little shy face and kawaii eyes. Your circus colors are very bold and a unique addition.
I like the format you are using. The little Caterpillar, would be great to make into a bookworm! Little eyeglasses, maybe a little book to go with it or paint books on it. Something to think about. Thank you for sharing your creations!
If you've seen any of our other videos she's done blue bees before and she's saying that somebody has done one at the pottage so she wants to do something different
I don't know how I ended up here. I don't do pottery and I never have outside like... idk a high school project? BUT I am so glad I'm here cause she is so flippin wholesome. I could watch this all day. Such cute and charming content.
The mantis was my favorite! I loved all the different shades of green, also the little green caterpillar. Greens just always look so lovely with pinks and purples. All of these are so adorables! What a cool set. I thought this format was really nice, and I always look forward to seeing them fired at the end.
The large caterpillar made me think of a snuggle bug. It looks like he is all wrapped up in a homemade quilt. And your Turbo snail is incredibly awesome. I would definitely be proud to put quirky trinkets and treats in him for my desk 😊
These bugs would SO cute with little wire antennae added to the clay forms (or wire with little beads on it!) They're so sweet, i just think that some little curly-cue antennae would take them to the next level -- but beautiful work as always! ❤
The snail that stuck to the shelf; I think those glazes might work better on a more horizontal piece. If they run together and pool in a dip I think the crystals might get bigger. Please take this with a grail of salt I don't actually work with pottery, it is just how my brain says it will work. I liked the mantis it really is too cute. You should look up the different types of mantis they come in so many shapes and colors! My favorite kind is the orchid mantis, so beautiful! I liked this way of opening the moulds. It kept ramping up my excitement over and over with each one.
Yay, I have a tip to share! I use little bisque square tiles that I made to put under all the kindergarten pinch pots, but I have some bigger tiles for larger pieces that I occasionally put under a piece to protect the shelf more. Happy potting!
There are SOOOO many different types of mantises, you should look for images of flower, leaf or stick mantises for inspiration. Maybe scarabs for the beetle.
I think the two "arms" on the sides of the bees face are actually antenna 😊 love these pieces! Especially the brown snail, would look lovely in the garden!
I liked how you did the video. To see you paint each one after you open the mold. Also you are an amazing artist! Thank you so much for sharing your art and sharing your love for your hobby!
My first thought on the beetle is to keep the pour spout part but turn it into a point and cut a top in the beetle so its can be a slow water filter thing if the 'point' is left so it can be porous. A really cute slow waterer for plants!
I do love the bugs ❤ I think the textures and designs look great! Don’t be so hard on yourself, you never know what is going to happen inside the kiln. May I suggest instead of sacrificing a shelf or a half shelf, make some cookies as they’re called. Pour a puddle of slip on the flat side of a mold that looks like a cookie or a pancake and then fire that along with your piece that has a running glaze, then you don’t sacrifice anything but the cookie. The cookie shrinks along with your glazed piece, and, ta-da! Perfection!
We have some praying mantis here that are purple and blue and irridencent. They are just incredibly beautiful. Bug come in such a variety of sizes, shapes and colors. I love your personality. I really enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the good work.
All so pretty and cute! The little worm reminds me of patchwork like a quilt. He would be so perfect for my sewing room. I love all your cute pieces and love the talent, creativity and imagination you put into each one. ❤ 🐝🐛🐜🐌🦗
I do surface design, and I am inspired to make a cute colorful buggy fabric collection! These are ALL beautiful. I can't decide between the circus worm and the dopy caterpillar.
The worm strikes me as a cute addition to the book Canister collection and then it could be a bookworm
oh i love this idea
I like this format! It's less repetitive than having all the un moldings together
You could pair that worm with some of those mini books and it's a bookworm! I could totally see those mini books that you made sideways and then One of the caterpillars on top, maybe with some words all over the caterpillars
Cute idea
Awesome idea, then they would make great bookends
The ant looks like it is in the “thinker” pose! They’re all so dang adorable 😊 the mantis looks like it’s wearing high heels, and the big caterpillar give patch work quilt vibes!❤
I saw the same thing. Rodan’s Thinker is iconic and this ant embodies it, your blues make it pop.
It should be a whole series of bugs doing human things….
Yes!!
I love the wood worm. He looks like he is wrapped in a lovely patchwork quilt. 💙💛❤️
That's what I saw, too! As soon as he came out of the kiln, I immediately thought, "Patchwork! "
It’s a patchworm!
I love this new format. The beetle could be a lady bug.
I really liked the format. I prefer having the before-and-after in the same video, which helps us, with less imagination, resolve the issue immediately. However, I also appreciate the last format because it makes the audience look forward to the following video.
That caterpillar, I panted that same caterpillar when I was at camp in the 70s. Thanks for the memories. I love watching your videos .
The worm that your customer painted is pretty amazing. I’d love to see more of your customers’ work, if they are ok with you showing us.
The worm looked like it was wrapped in a really comfy quilt ❤
I would have made the snail into Gary. There are so many possibilities for it. Its so cute.
The caterpillar reminded me of a old quilt. It was 100% my favorite also. They were all so cute. Great job Shelby! Glad to have you back in my videos. Definitely understand taking the break while opening the pottage.
It’s amazing the magic that happens when the colours go from dull/chalky to *POW* COLOURS! 😁🤩😍
I love this format. So nice to see the Mystery Mold Series back on the regular again. I missed these
Love the praying mantis! So cute! 🐌🐛
The mantis is my favorite too. Then Bub the Grub. Then the Dopetillar!!
I really like this format of the spaced out reveals!
Each one was darling Shelby! Favorite is the ant posed as the famous statue by Rodin The Thinker. The blue made it very thoughtful. The worm and grub made me happy too.
Oh yes the new format works so well, get to see it open and decorated. 😊
The bugs are adorable. I do like this format!
I loved the mantis! I can understand why you had technical issues with it but I think it turned out great! And this format was wonderful to follow along with, it had great flow between each mould with the final reveals at the end.
I love the mantis, it's such a wistful expression
The earthy snail really brought me back to the 1970s, when those sorts of things were in everyone's indoor fern gardens.
These are super fabulous and whimsical. The circus worm is probably my favorite, then the Mantis, then the bee. You did a wonderful job.
The praying mantis is my favourite. The little green caterpillar could be a chopstick holder.
The grub reminds me of a patchwork quilt. I love it. I love them all❤
I think the ant is Rodin's "The Thinker" sculpture. To me anyway.
Fun stuff.
Like the format. The circus grub turned out wonderfully.
The "circus worm" looks like it could be a handle for the book jars ❤️
I loved this video format. The way you painted the wood grub looked like a worm curled up in a home-made quilt 😊. My favorite was the Absolom caterpillar piece. I loved its colours and eyes with the lids. So creative and adorable. I know you are an artist but I'm always amazed and impressed with your colour choices and patterns.
Turn the snail into a piggy bank well snail bank lol
The caterpillar...Yes, a circus worm!!! Absolutely adorable ❤
the snail actually looks so realistic now! I think the ladybird is my favourite though it's adorable ❤
They turned out to be so cute! ‘Crispy’ to describe a glaze is my new favourite thing btw 😂. I love that little worm, n’awww. Incense caterpillar would be SO cool!
Definitely my favourite reveal, you have a great way of bringing them to life. Love them all. Don’t be so hard on yourself. X
The 'grub' would look so cute on a book shelf! A little book worm. You could even paint each section of his body as a different book 🥹 🐛 ❤
These are my favorites in order and why:
Mantis - I love the realism of the colors and the cohesiveness
Ant - Blue is my absolute FAVORITE color and I love the usage of all the blues. It's just so stunning
Worm - I love the design of the worm and it's little shy face and kawaii eyes. Your circus colors are very bold and a unique addition.
okay but how cute would the caterpillar be on top of the snail??? everything turned out SO adorable!!
Yesss! I’m totally thinking the same thing.
What a cute set of bugs. The personality shines through. Love them and can see future generations of them.
I like the format you are using. The little Caterpillar, would be great to make into a bookworm! Little eyeglasses, maybe a little book to go with it or paint books on it. Something to think about. Thank you for sharing your creations!
I really like the colorful little 🐛 it looks like he’s inside a sock 🧦 💜💛
I really like this format as it gave importance to each piece! Loved seeing the process for each. It felt less muddled in my head in the end.
The ant also reminds me of Rodin's Thinker.
I agree, it's cute.
It kind of freaks me out because where are its antennas?
Seconded, it's a send up of Rodin's bronze.
There are native bees in Australia that are blue, so you would not be stealing someone else's idea if you did them. This is a very cute collection.
If you've seen any of our other videos she's done blue bees before and she's saying that somebody has done one at the pottage so she wants to do something different
Would be awesome to do all the insects as native Australian versions. We have such colourful bugs
I just found out this summer that Washington state also has a blue bee!
Googling blue bees now 😍
I love that you get inspired by your guests at the pottage. Also I now need to see you make a cinnamon roll snail that would be so cute! 🧡
How unique this set is. ❤🐞🐛🐜🪲🐌
LOVE THEM! The circusy worm looks like a homemade stuffed caterpillar made with a bunch of different calicos! I love him!
I saw the caterpillar and immediately thought of James and The Giant Peach.
The worm looks like a beautiful quilt!!!!❤
I don't know how I ended up here. I don't do pottery and I never have outside like... idk a high school project? BUT I am so glad I'm here cause she is so flippin wholesome. I could watch this all day. Such cute and charming content.
Enjoyed the new format. Loved the worms!! I thought the “circus worm” was hideous until you painted it. Wow!
Whatever order you do is perfect. Love your enthusiasm and channel.
I love the expression on the worm, it has so much personality!
I liked the format, it felt like it flowed better.
The mantis was my favorite! I loved all the different shades of green, also the little green caterpillar. Greens just always look so lovely with pinks and purples. All of these are so adorables! What a cool set. I thought this format was really nice, and I always look forward to seeing them fired at the end.
The beetle looked like it had a head scarf on ❤❤❤ so cute
The worm makes me think of grandma's quilts. So cute❤
The large caterpillar made me think of a snuggle bug. It looks like he is all wrapped up in a homemade quilt. And your Turbo snail is incredibly awesome. I would definitely be proud to put quirky trinkets and treats in him for my desk 😊
Preying mantis was my favorite, colors were just so beautiful after you Painted it.
Ooo I wish that little worm was a bookend and a bookworm. So cute.
The little worm reminds me of an inch worm, caught in the middle of measuring the marigolds. I love your collection. So very cute! ❤
These bugs would SO cute with little wire antennae added to the clay forms (or wire with little beads on it!) They're so sweet, i just think that some little curly-cue antennae would take them to the next level -- but beautiful work as always! ❤
I like this new format much better. All the pieces turned out nicely. Thanks for the video. ☺☺☺
These would be a great cast for a tv show! Great job with that new brown glaze too, the organic earthy feel is beautiful ❤
Turbo is amazing (and matches your top when you unloaded the kiln), but surprisingly the grub is my favourite. all of the details you added are great.
The orchid mantis a breathtakingly beautifull. 🥰
I love that they all have their own little personalities. The bee and the mantis are my two favs. The worm looks like a patchwork quilt. So fun!!
I love that this mystery mold series is back!!!
Yay, I have a tip to share! I use little bisque square tiles that I made to put under all the kindergarten pinch pots, but I have some bigger tiles for larger pieces that I occasionally put under a piece to protect the shelf more. Happy potting!
I love love love this little bug collection! This video was so fun, Shelby! I love your creativity and watching how you decide to finish your pieces.
They are so cute. Definitely see the grub as covered in a quilt.
I liked how you did the video. To see you paint each one after you open the mold. Also you are an amazing artist! Thank you so much for sharing your art and sharing your love for your hobby!
I love the 'circus' worm, and even tho you didn't really like it, I like the mantis! They all look great!
The quilted worm looks so cuddly!
I love this set. They’d be so fun tucked away in the garden!
You could set the bee on top of a flower base to give it support and added interest. Cute collection overall ❤
My first thought on the beetle is to keep the pour spout part but turn it into a point and cut a top in the beetle so its can be a slow water filter thing if the 'point' is left so it can be porous. A really cute slow waterer for plants!
These were so fun! Both video styles delight me so please mix them as you see fit.
The worm looks like he’s wrapped up in a comfy quilt!
The grub looks like it would make a great patchwork quilt look
I do love the bugs ❤ I think the textures and designs look great! Don’t be so hard on yourself, you never know what is going to happen inside the kiln. May I suggest instead of sacrificing a shelf or a half shelf, make some cookies as they’re called. Pour a puddle of slip on the flat side of a mold that looks like a cookie or a pancake and then fire that along with your piece that has a running glaze, then you don’t sacrifice anything but the cookie. The cookie shrinks along with your glazed piece, and, ta-da! Perfection!
I loved this bug army!!😍😍❤️ The colour combination and patterns are so pretty!!❤🤩
We have some praying mantis here that are purple and blue and irridencent. They are just incredibly beautiful. Bug come in such a variety of sizes, shapes and colors. I love your personality. I really enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the good work.
I kept a praying mantis as a pet when I was a child. This was such a sweet thing for me to sew 🥰🥰🥰
Love this format!! The little bugs are cute, my favorite is the worm.
Honestly I really like the new video layout of the reveal and painting!
OMG the Ant looks like The Thinker statue
I love the mantis!! All of them are adorable, but he is so precious!
Hi Shelby it's a hot Friday night 40ºc it's a wonderful hot dry balm, like stepping into a sauna. Your artwork and excitement inspire me. Thank you
All so pretty and cute! The little worm reminds me of patchwork like a quilt. He would be so perfect for my sewing room. I love all your cute pieces and love the talent, creativity and imagination you put into each one. ❤ 🐝🐛🐜🐌🦗
love this format! kept me engaged to see each new reveal and your corresponding art work! So glad you are back making content!
I do surface design, and I am inspired to make a cute colorful buggy fabric collection! These are ALL beautiful. I can't decide between the circus worm and the dopy caterpillar.
I love the worm! It reminds me of a quilt pattern. They're all adorable, even the mantis. Fun times!
I used to have a bunch of little caterpillars like the upright one. My grammy was a ceramics artist and she made a ton of them for her grandkids.
I LOVED the snail mold.... it reminds me of the Dr. Doolittle movie where he rides in the giant sea snail.
I was thinking the worm looks like a quilt. Very cute.
This is such a gorgeous collection. Love your work, as always. Very happy with this format of the reveal.
All are precious but the worm and mantis are my favorites!♥
Some of your insects could have cute shoes 😊
