Hi Lauren, So just to answer a couple of your questions and give you a little bit of insight from myself being a small time monetized creator. 1. I came from Brad Mondo's dreadlock video. I've had my dreadlocks for a year and a half and I pretty much binged all of your playlist. I stuck around for your personality, But I did notice that inconsistency. So I truly appreciate the admiration in you admitting your fault. 2. In regards to helping you get your views up: shorts and viewers from them to long form views do not convert well. You will find that many people may subscribe from your shorts but will not watch full length videos. Keep the videos over 8 minutes long so that everyone will have mid roll adverts when you do get monetized again. 3. Titles and thumbnails will help you massively. I know it's probably something you've heard and researched about but if you can catch the eye with an edited thumbnail and then have a hook in the first 5 seconds to make the viewer watch on (usually they pre-watch when you hover over a video) then in first 30 seconds make sure you let them know what the video is about and what they will gain. This will help a lot with watch time. Please also ask for subscriptions and likes on the video. It only has to be a simple: "if you got value from this video I would very much appreciate a like, and that tells UA-cam that you want to see more of this content in your feed. feel free to share this video to anybody who you feel might benefit from it, and of course subscribe for future videos" I only have 4,000 subscribers, monetized in November 2023 but I have an incredibly engaged community. I highly recommend commenting back as much as you can in these first few months of gaining back your channel.
