I went into this thinking ‘who is this guy who made a creature that is the most my taste of all time’ and then you said it shoots lightning and the question became ‘WHO IS THIS GUY WHO LOOKED INTO MY SOUL AND DECIDED TO CREATE MY PERFECT ANIMAL’

I think cave fauna would be really interesting when I think of crazy or alien looking creatures deep sea or cave fauna are the first things that come to mind
2:24 I would’ve said that their colour variations mirrors the colour of their lightning, and the number of volts that surge through their lightning, so the brighter their appearance, the more deadly they are because they have a higher voltage of electricity, but they stand out more, and vice verca with the darker coloured Slaghorns having less voltage inside of them, but they blend in better with the environment
The slaggorns Top left: dark spark red Top mid: hell spark Top right: sun spark Mid left: fire spark Mid mid: sour green apple Bottom left: snow spark Bottom mid: wave spark Bottom right: drak spark blue And of course, honey crisp.😎
5:22 So I got three, the one in the middle row and to the left should be named leopard, the one on the bottom row in the middle should be named blue leopard, sky leopard or electric (the reason for the names is because they have the most prominent spots, just like a leopard), finally the one below leopard is glacier(I mean it has to be).
As a British person, I had to laugh as you started talking about the Slaggorn in an English accent because slag is an offensive slang word in the UK. It's a great creature though.
Idk why but i NEED armodillo Ankylosaurus, just imagine this huge tanky lazy lookin dino who suddenly rolls into a ball and rushes towards you. your creatures look so amazing, yet quite simplistic in the end. which somehow seems to be more and more rare...
DUDE I had that same idea recently! I was sketching my own creature collector roster and I drew an evolutionary line like that. It started as an armadillo turtle little guy, then and ankylosaurus, and the final stage was an armadillo T. Rex lookin beast. The middle stage could also catapult the first stage with its tail. The final stage was basically a beastly wrecking ball
More aquatic and mammalian creatures would fill your roster nicely. I've always wanted to see a Seahorse/Flying fish hybrid. It would essentially be a SeaPegasus! And a shark/dragon would really add an intimidating aspect to the seas. Could even throw in some kraken elements into it as well. Some sort of ape/bear hybrid would fit well for forests or jungles. And some (relatively) smaller mammals like squirrel wolves to fill some smaller herbivore niches would be great.

Im a super fun of all MH games. I love their creture disign and finding ur channel who follow those style is my heaven. The undead wyvern is god tier work. Awesome.😂
These creatures that you've created are amazing, and you should be proud of them! 👍🏻👍🏻 One thing that I was thinking about when I saw your rhinoceros beetle being created was the herculoids, particularly Tundro. Perhaps a reskin? The other thing that got my mental juices flowing was what if that hump was hollow it would allow them to keep their young safe and could work as a kind of look out position since rhinoceros have notorious poor eyesight. The Ghost Tail is awesome. Perhaps instead of a typical dragon horde, it's a wandering necromancer with an undead horde?
yk something I'd like to see is an Isopod like organism. Could be like a large grazer/scavenger that uses some kind of organ that converts certain plants into some kind of magic energy or like a scavenger that is vital to the decomposition of dead bodies in the world (kind of like in the real world).
Left to right: 1: Magma 2: Ruby 3: Dandelion 4: Copper Poppy (or Pepper Peach) 5: Bad Apple 6: Honey Crisp (or Crimson Horn) 7: Pearl 8: Cobalt 9: Cast Iron I love both Slaggorns desings. Spiked frilled one could be the old bull of the herd and spikes could help it to keep it's head still while ramming or fending of larger opponents that get a grasp on their head.
Sir you are a master of creature designs! The Slaggorn is quite a unique concept and they got lighting too? Radical! I also love how the Ghost tail wyverns are scavengers. Slaggorn name Ideas: Botton Right: Tundrik Mountaineer Bottom Middle: Katarin BlueSpeck Bottom Left: Leucistic Beetlehorn Top Left: Volmic Grimbolde Top Middle: Bloodmoon Stomper Top Right: Lumacion Center Left: Tigerpatch Slaggorn Center Middle: Necrosis
I think a giant rocky landmass like creature would be interesting, mainly because 90% of people who end up using this design just make an island or mountain, so it would be kinda interesting to see something different. just my thoughts tho
since you went with honeycrisp for one of them i thought, perhaps, it might make sense to go with cultivars from other plants for the other breeds of slaggorn? (also really loving the art. please keep it up!) top left: Black Heart top center: Beefsteak top right: Butternut middle left: Caramel middle center: Thunderbird middle right: Honeycrisp bottom left: Sugar Pearl bottom center: Rabbiteye bottom right: Concord
For the one on the first row on the left I think maybe call that one the Brash back and then for the last row on the right may be call that one the Water Dip? I don't know, with the tips of blue with that gray it just looks like I don't know it's somehow dipped itself in water and it stayed on it
If they varied so wildly in color, wouldn't they have had small deviations of other features? Not just a fresh coat of paint like a shiny pokemon? I'm just thinking from an evolutionary standpoint. Some would be larger than others, some would have smaller horns or maybe small spikes on the frill somewhere, but more bug like than ceratopsian.
the Slaggorn would have problems moving its head. would make sense with a lower hump, and a crest that goes over the back armor. or lets go with how the beetles mode their head and horn, they are in 3 parts, BUT if we take it over to a Rhino/triceratops we could make the top horn part of the back giving it armor from the back over its head, then with a horn on its head that i can move up it would be able to clamp down on things with its two horns. like the Ghost tail. the spikes on its back could be movable with membrane between them, could be used to give sharper turning or help turning. Made a concept for a creature for my D&D world that you could make. two animals that like in symbiosis. first animal is a mix between an Ankylosaurus and a Kentrosaurus, being armored with large spines down their backs and being armored. but the two middle rows of spines having holes in them and being hollow while still strong. in those holes living a species of honey bee. the bees having a mobile home migrating to green pastures with flowers, and the bees helping to defend the larger animal both from predators but also from parasites that would settle on the larger animal. So a large peaceful herbivore only being aggressive in the mating period, where the bulls fight over the herds arousing the bees to swarm also. called it Sanitatemnosaurus as the honey from the bee's have healing properties :)
I like your designs. Very well drawn. I think the bottom left Slaghorn skin should be called the Marble and Lapis. Bottom middle would be Deep Sea. Bottom right Granite over Chalk. Top right, I think Baleful Night would be a good name. Top middle, Mottled Crimson. Top left would be Yellow Jacket
You need to make the beetle ceratopsians have joints between the nose and hump tusk so it can actually function like a pincer and not only a lance. An acid gland between the joints would also make it able to squirt acid between the pincer like a termite.
I could see the ghost tail crawling through backalleys and caves aswell as short dives when you mentioned wanting to do werewolves i instantly thought you should do a werewolf/lizard hybrid both humanoid and more wolfy like (quadrupedal)
9:39 Hey , Josh here are some ideas for you a Vampire Porcupine , Winter Vulture , a Skeletal Wolf ,a Lion horse, Zebra - Antelope, a Cockatrice a two legged dragon with a roosters head, and a Amphitere.
I like the idea of some a common joe that work at the graveyard or something, that just figured out that the Ghostail is a pretty calm creature that more likely to just scares away others then it is to fight. After learning that this common joe just befriend some Ghostails
I would love to see a child and an adult slaggorn side by side where the adult is using the barbs on its horn to fetch some berries (on a tall-ish plant) while the child is eager to eat them
I want to make one based on a spider and a saber tooth with camo to blend into its environment it’s fangs can also cause paralysis ooo or a semi transparent camouflage when stalking prey
. i like how due to the back plate, this beetlesaur can;t look up, not like it really NEEDS to as a grazing animal, really cool creature, would be cute if they were all named after apples, like if the top right was called Gold Delicious and the center open is called a Granny Smith . i do love the design, the shades of green work PERFECTLY for the necromancer theme, would be cool if they could faintly glow too
I went into this thinking ‘who is this guy who made a creature that is the most my taste of all time’ and then you said it shoots lightning and the question became ‘WHO IS THIS GUY WHO LOOKED INTO MY SOUL AND DECIDED TO CREATE MY PERFECT ANIMAL’
On cod, no carp. So true king, fax indeed.
@@Terra_Eggit took me reading that 3 times to realize what you did there
A beetle dinosaur. HOW HAVE I NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT!?
I feel like combining insects and dinosaurs is something that hasn’t been done too often in general. Lots of potential there
I just now thought of a smiladon anomalocaris combo...
I'm sure you can create your beetle dinosaur or other insects and dinosaurs to combine (and maybe I would too).
Someone remembers Predasaurs Insect Invasion?
There is an enemy in a video game that is exactly that, his name is "valomyr" from dauntless

Honey Crisp looks the most natural tbh

Beetleceratops is peak creature design
If these were in Dungeons and Dragons, I would 100% have one as a battle mount.
damn you now I must homebrew this
This video inspired me so much artistically and now I have majorly improved my sketch art and have started my own Dinosaur concept art
Obsidian, Ruby, Royal, Pumpkin, Emerald, Honeycrisp, Snowdrift, Sapphire, and Basalt.
So cool when you show the references and combine the all the elements
You should make your own book!📕 That would be awesome, and I can’t wait to see what you make next!
Also, some cool animals are the trilobite beetle, the steelblue ladybird, and the great eard nightjar.
last one, it looks like a fricken' baby dragon, no joke, its my favorite animal
For the middle red one on top row
- Crimson/Scarlet Bolt
Idk, just like that red color
I think cave fauna would be really interesting when I think of crazy or alien looking creatures deep sea or cave fauna are the first things that come to mind
And the color variations are just.... soo good

How have I not though of that?
Technically it did happen
Search up glyptodont
It has some similar features to ankylosaurus like the tail closest thing we got
Kinda like a doedicurus
Roasted Pepper, Chili Pepper, Mustard, Salmon, Spinach, Honeycrisp, Regal, Abyssal, Glacier
More!!! Come up with and make so much more creature designs!!!!
Monster hunter needs these
I just discovered this channel and I can't take my eyes off these designs, they are beyond amazing. :D
Need this in a creature collector. Love em
The Slaggorn is one of the best ideas of mix that i ever seen, just slaps, PEAK DESING

I love the conceptualization of the slaggorn. Genuinely such a creative idea to make the horns act like a tazer

The Slaggorn is amazing.

Great job, brother. Continue being awesome!

I think the ghost tail looks epic!
Does bro have any tutorials? I must learn the ways of a master.

A turtle / tortoise monster thing related to the element of earth like the world turtle 🐢

Fantastic, looks perfect
An idea that I also had a long time ago! wow your art is spectacular 👌
I thought you were going for a generic red black white for the wyvern but instead you went for the most beautiful color combo I’ve ever seen
One of the blue and black slag horns could be called
The lagoon slag horn or SOEMTHING idk

You already had me with the design, and you're telling me that it shoots electricity out of its horn? Hell yeah!
Mixing dinosaur and insects or beetles, it's genius!
Id love to see your take on creatures like the windigo there are so many variations you can pull from.
I think it would be very cool if you made a frog ankylosaurus type monster that could be a war mount for a race like orca or something.
