Ivory Joe Hunter: I Will Be True

This is a beautiful ballad from 1952 and was a favourite song of Elvis Presley, who liked it so much he recorded it at home during his army service and then again professionally in 1971, both times accompanying himself on piano.
Elvis and Ivory Joe met in Memphis in 1958 and became good friends, each having a great respect for the other's work.

Written & Recorded By Ivory Joe Hunter and released in April 1952.
Elvis Presley recorded a home recording in Germany In 1959.
Elvis recorded a studio version on 20 May 1971, with his own Piano Backing him and was released on his “Elvis” (Fool) Album in July 1973.
