Wow, thank you so much 🙏! We appreciate the detailed information. We love anything local. We tend to gravitate towards what the locals eat and not the tourists. We’re definitely going to have to try them both out for sure! We just hope we can handle the spice because Thai chili is delicious but really spicy 😆. Thank you 🙏!

I love that you both have such a positive attitude as you walk through the locations.
But as a Thai person I couldn't help but be worried when I saw you choosing a Thai food menu.
Because it seems like you only choose very spicy food for Thai people.
This is a pre-cooked restaurant. Therefore, you cannot choose the level of spiciness.
Please enjoy your trip to Thailand.

@@ChovyTravel my fav thai dish is a northeastern thai dish called “somtam pu pla ra” which translates to papaya salad, crab, fermented fish (papaya salad with pickled fresh water crab and fermented fish gravy). Its an advance version of a typical papaya salad you could find in the states. It will be hard for you guys to like it at your very first try. This menu used to be looked down upon by central thai ppl (bangkokians) since it gives off a very strong smell and thats why for central thai ppl they have their own version with no fermented fish and pickled crab, called “somtam thai”. But if you ask for a frequent go to dish for most thai i would say “pad kra pow”, pad is stir fried, kra pow is holy basil.

We have too many options, so many so we really have problems picking one of them every day hahaha. I would say I have "Pad-Krapao" the most, around 50% of everything elese. 17:35 Mieng kam Lays is my favorite !!! Recommended! It sour and sweet.
15:07 Kohkae is peanut coat with coconut , popular one, you should try the basic favor like coconut or chicken favor first
9:33 Cha tra mae = brand hand tea 👍 direstly translate the name like this😂 , If you are not sipping type, like me, when we will drink all cup in one turn, I recommend you to go for 25%-50% sweetness level on every local drink in Thailand. (In mostly of drinking stand you can tell them 50% less sweet, even if they are not ask)
Anyway , the quantity of fluid is too less in my opinion. 😢
15:42 I'm Thai. , but i can't recommend anything in this section because we usually eat fresh mango, dry mango just for souvenir for friend in another country, then actually i don't know which brand is famous.
16:39 That all is seaweed in different favor and form , they lauch new product so fast, i can't catch it up also. I usually go for simple green one. Let's try all snack you see 😁 we have very very variety of favour 😂 Even i'm Thai. I didn't try it all. (It is too much)

No problem on the dried Mango. We have fallen in love with the real Mango fruit here in Thailand.

Have you ever tried Rice with Pad Ka-Prow Moo Sub (Moo sub is minced pork) and fried sunny side up egg on top? 90% of Thais always order this menu.. you can tell the vender to add a little chili ( Phed Noi is mean little spicy)
And if you want to try traditional Thai menu, “khao chae” is very interesting menu,in the past they serve this menu in the royal and serve only for summer month. You can find it at authentic restaurant (such as Nara Thai cuisine, Mandarin Oriental Bangkok Hotel, Khao-ekkamai branch, etc)
You may have to call to a restaurant for selling periods. For me Nara Thai cuisine’s recommended.

I am fully aware of the points that you mentioned, I liked it too but all I'm saying is that it's a matter of preferences and overall foreigners tends to go for it more. I was just giving example that compares to many foreigners that I knows; myself included and many others Thai, it's just not the first thing that comes to mind when ordering foods as there are sooooo many dishes that pops up in your head while the first thing that most foreigners think of is Pad Thai, and I work in hospitality.

Pad Thai is definitely foreigners favourite food but it's not to say Thai people don't eat it from time to time. It's just that when Thai people think of the quintissential Thai food, they will probably think about Pad Kra Pao (Which that girl recommended the sauce for) and also probably Tom Yum dishes (There are also many, many times of Tom Yum as well).
Pa Kra Pao especially is like the Thai comfort food when you can't think of anything, you just get Pad Kra Pao (Stir-fired holy basil) and 9/10 times it's damn good and will fill you up. Your choice of protein is what defines it ranging from minced pork, chicken, seafood to crispy pork and the likes.
Also, you guys went into BIG C Ratchaprasong which is where alot of tourists like to come and buy stuff before they leave or when they first visit since it's in the heart of the city, there are Big C's everywhere, so no need to worry.
Also, although I'm younger than y'all and also from Thailand, Toys R Us was a very big part of my childhood haha. I would always beg my mum to take me there after footballer (soccer) practice and while I would normally go to the local BIG C and eat at the food court there (and also play on the mini arcade filled with coin-based PS2's) ~ Toys R Us was always a childhood favourite.

I see there’s flickering lights in many portions of the video, I assume this is because you’re shooting at 60FPS. Since Thai electrical grid operates at 50Hz, it doesn’t sync up to the camera frame. This will also happen if you shoot at 50FPS in South Korea (60Hz grid). Next time, check the grid frequency of your destination to determine which frame rate you should use. Use 25, 50, 100, 150, 200, etc for 50Hz electrical grid and 30, 60, 120, 180, 240, etc for 60Hz (you might need to change from PAL to NTSC and vice versa) and your video should be flicker free.
Anyway great video, I hope you come visit again soon!

When you said "heard big C is really really close" and "not sure exactly where it is", I was like 'walk 2mins and you'll be there' 😂
Skywalks are great - not needing to deal with traffic and bit cooler
I was hoping that you cld pay at the stands at Central World food court and not end up waiting in the queue and end up having to go get a money card. I can't remember which bit some you need to put money on a card or get food vouchers to take to the stalls, which gets deducted and if some money left over can get that money back

      Skywalks are amazing! 😅
So not used to that at all and it’s so convenient.
Those money cards are really cool and interesting 😃

A lot of times, the work staff are from the neighboring countries and not necessarily into Thai food. So when they say they don't like what they are selling, you can pretty much assume they are not Thai.

We go to shopping mall when we want to try on some products. Then order it online for a discount 😂

That’s a smart way to shop when it comes to the expensive shopping malls.
However, we don’t mind spending a little extra to support small businesses as long as their intentions are not to rip you off 😊.
