Caught a nice "old" bruiser on one of my new XBs within three days of hanging it! One of my XBs is having issues so I need to exchange, Saw the the X Pro was going to be released... I guess the price will help me decide which to get. Been running a cpl of the orig Reveals for a couple years and I love all of the Tactacam cams I've tried more than any other game cams I've used in the past. Thanks for the video!

What is the effective nighttime photo range between two different model cameras? And nighttime photo quality between the two?
Night time quality is good on both with the low-glow having a little greater range.
So are these the only 2 cellular trail cameras in the reveal line up now? Have the xb and others been discontinued?

I had to exchange an XB and all Bass pro had left was the X Pro; two days later my Husband picked me up a Gen X 2; I like the view screen because I can aim it while I'm at the camera. My issue is with the $5 for 50 videos; sometimes they load sometimes not or I'll think what is in the pic is what will be on the vid (when it will send it) but several have been videos of nothing for 15secs....just crickets chirping. I am thinking of trying the $9 pro plan addition, anyone else tried it and if so is it more consistent than the $5 for 50 vid or pic plan? Also is anyone else having very grainy videos/pics coming through Instead of "HD" that's supposed to be sent? Any info/tips appreciated (I'm running solar panels on all and Tactacam is the best IMHO even with the lil glitches here/there). Thanks!
I have recently received a few hi res pictures of a deer at close range and a portion of his body was somewhat pixelated when zooming in. This camera had a marginal signal where located. I think that is the reason. Not all the digital data made it through. I have requested videos that occasionally have the animal that was in the photo missing. There is a bit of a delay from the time the camera takes a photo and then begins videoing. I think that is usually the cause of “missing” animals.
What about the LIVE STREAM that Bass Pro is claiming the new Pro has ?

I really want the x pro but I had to take it back to academy where I bought it . Wouldn’t turn on . Ended up swapping 2 other different x pro cameras and they wouldn’t turn on as well .
Oh my gosh you just made me figure out what happened! I couldn’t get any of these cameras on because I held the power button everytime per instructions. You just press it

Hey Mike....thanks for the video comparison! Question for you. I am running 8 SK's and four of them have the Reveal external solar panel attached along with the rechargeable battery pack installed. Battery life is HORRIBLE with this setup with single pic and video selected. Settings check is set to instant. Any suggestions? Do the Reveal solar panels not have the power to keep up? Do you sell a panel that is better than the Reveal model? Thanks!!
Instant settings check is tough on batteries by itself. Daily settings check would help. The Tactacam packs can handle a decent amount of activity each day with plenty of sun. I do have a much bigger and more capable solar pack if you need it. www.herd360.com/products/solar-power-pack-spp1025?
@@herd3609 Thanks Mike...ordering a couple now to test. Will the existing heavy duty cables I bought for the Reveal panels work with this one on the 9v or 12v output?

@@GBBLGBL because those couldn't do instant settings check. That keeps the camera connected to the server which in turn burns through batteries
@@GBBLGBL sorry I just found this comment. The cables that connect the Tactacam panel to the Reveal will not connect my Solar Power Pack to the Reveal. That would require the cable with the 4.0x1.7mm dc plug on each end

Sim cards have to be activated separately and removing g camera from account and reinstall? You wouldn’t be able to do that in the field would you? If you don’t have reception?
You would need cellphone reception to do that with the app on your phone
I am pretty sure I activated Verizon on my xb and ended up using att&t in the field without activating the way you described? My camera worked and sent pictures.
I will want to clarify this as it is not always feasible to check in field. You should be able to insert either card while in the field to see which one gets signal. ?
That would be the first I have ever seen work that way. I've swapped a few back and forth. Each sim had to be activated each time
@@daves6x6 I don't know of any dual modem camera that is capable with. Ridgetec also has a dual modem but each simcard must be activated each time.

Yes. The pro now comes with a dual carrier simcard and the gen 2.0 comesbwith an att and a Verizon
@@herd3609 , Thanks. I noticed that a few ebay sellers are selling the xp pro without sim cards. Which I guess it's why they are going for 130.00
@huntermark1160 they come feom Tactacam with a simcard. I would steer clear of anyone selling that isn't an authorized dealer with the ability to contact them. There are people on ebay that setup accounts then list items much cheaper and then when someone buys it the seller uses a stolen cc to order the item from a legit seller and have it shipped to the buyer. The legit seller then eventually looses all those funds. Also if not from an authorized dealer there will be no warranty. As an authorized retailer I can not advertise an X-Pro for sale below $149.99
Does it have the way for multiple cameras to share one account?
Each Tactacam Reveal needs its own data plan

I’m confirming you can not get pics from the pro on your cell phone since it doesn’t have wifi? If not are they coming out with a camera that can do both?
The wifi on the Reveals has nothing to do with getting pictures. They all receive pictures to the app through a cellular connection. The wifi is on the models that do not have a screen so you can connect to the camera through the app on your phone and perform setup actions. You must be close to the camera and put camera in setup mode to perform.

Mike will the gps function if the batteries r removed?
No, or switch turned off or simcard removed will all prevent gps check in
