I bought one of these a few months ago and just now getting around to setting it up. As part of the setup they ask where you bought it and how much you paid. Then you have to select a cellular plan before you can go any further. They consistently leave this part out of their setup videos. So if you bought it and don't like it you seem to be stuck with a yearly plan that can't be downgraded. So this one is for sale.
Seriously good point. Folks at Cabela’s said this camera didn’t require a plan to use. It’s just for my property, so I don’t need cellular. Now I’m stuck with it. This is a f’n scam. Tactacam are punks for this.

I set mine up and the green light flashes and it looks like it is taking a photo- but says "out of battery" and it powers off. I have it loaded with fresh batteries and I can't figure out what happened.
Every time I try to add my camera it makes me choose a plan so I pick no plan and then it says I can go to the app and activate my camera but when I go back to the app to add my camera it still shows I have to get a plan before I can even add the camera.
Convenient how you leave out that you can't get the video sent to your phone, but rather I must go and retrieve it from the SD card itself....3.5 hours away....a lot of good that does me!

@@JohnSmith-fi2gu I have 4 no problems so far, I think they sold so many they just can not keep up with support. They will swap you out if you can get some one on the phone. When they do call you back they should get you squared away. What problems are you having, I might can help you .
I haven't had mine for a year and my battery tray is rusted my date is way off using recommended sd. Tried to do reset with no luck. Monster in lense that doesn't go away causing fogged photos. Only happening to 1 of my 3 cameras
I bought a 32GB class 10 U1 card. Could not find a U3. Will my U1 card work? I mean I could not find a U3 locally. I know I can get one over the internet.
It will hold over for a bit. It is not recommended because of the processing speed and power of a U1 vs U3. If you start to have issues with transmission or photos and not getting all the pictures, it is time to switch to a U3.

I’m having issues just setting up a data plan. Of course I’m doing it on a Saturday and support is not answering. The app says go to the website the website says go to the app. There was only 1 SIM card in the box and it’s not liable AT&T or Verizon. I’m soooo annoyed

got all set up but doesn’t send photos when actually deer are in front of it will send a photo once every 12 hrs but not when deer or any thing crosses in front of it. maybe a setting that i got wrong not sure. so far not impressed
This is a great question! The Xpro does not connect to the wifi because it has the internal wifi with the screen. After turning the XPro on, the red trigger line appears on the screen of the camera to set up!
Apparently no one is going to reply to you so I will. When you purchase the camera it should have said on the box AT&T or Verizon. You just get the one that has the best cell service in your area. It does not have to match your phone service. Because you’re going to go into an app to look at your pictures. It’s not based on your phone cell service

I have one that I would like to swap to the other service since it gets better reception with Verizon there but didn’t know if all I need to do is get a Verizon card for it to make it the swap. (Card $10 new cam $100+)

Hello. Most of the cameras now have the dual SIM card which come inside the camera and ready to go. (default to verizon) If it is in the card and not inserted into the camera already, you will pick which service has best coverage in your area (ATT or Verizon) insert correctly, and you are good to go!
Videos are requested through the app! Your camera default is pic only. You want to make sure you change the camera mode to "Pic + Video" and hit Apply all changes! @@plaizant
Tech support is horrible. I have been trying them for 4 day by email and phone ( NO response) It seems like they sell the cameras, get that monthly, or yearly money and run! cameras do not send like they say they are supposed to, the app does not update the changes to the camera at all. I will give them another day and I will be selling them and canceling my subscription and going with another brand!

I did not have to pay an annual fee to set up this camera. Just added it as a new camera to my fleet. Still pay monthly.

Professional photography cameras are thousands of dollars and they don’t come with a lens or a sd card
What would be a good choice for a solar panel for this camera? I am going to mount it about 300 miles from home and may not be back for three months.
Tactacam has a great one on the website that I have on multiple cameras. Herd 360 also makes one that is larger for high traffic areas.

We do recommend having back up batteries in the camera in case connection is lost with the solar panel. You can use lithium or alkaline
Lithium is decent when the solar doesn't work it lasts a while

The way my plan is , I have the unlimited my first camera was $10 then $9 for each additional camera you add so for 3 it’s $28 I believe …
Does the LCD show the camera view as setup so you can preview without taking multiple pics after tweaking repositioning the camera?
It sure does! It is very helpful in locations where cell service is minimal and you cannot connect your phone to the in app wifi.
When picking the new camera on the app there wasn’t an option for xpro? I selected Reveal X.
I hope you have this resolved but when this happens there is always a new update to the app.

Update got the data plan going through chat. Had a red warning banner indicating no data plan. I had to click that to access plan information
