It's like Crown made it their mission to make the controls on their lifts the complete opposite of what everyone else is using. Even the damn tilt controls are backwards.
I failed my certification test on this exact stand up. It’s control scheme was far different from what I was used to. It’s like I had to learn how to drive all over again. Thanks for the video
Same here bro im so use to the Raymound reach control and when i show up to a job site for reach truck test , and the guy pull up in a big ass crown reach i was like Fuck im so screw. Im pretty fast with the Raymound reach but when i hop on that crown, it took me almost 20mins to grab a pallet lol . But for some reason crowns are super fast .
Peep this, I start a job tomorrow using Crown Reach 80% and Counterbalance Forklift 20% and I only got my Raymond Reach + Counterbalance...I'll update y'all how my first day went.
@@xunknowghostx6893 it still shouldn’t have been very hard for you to get a drop down ., the only thing that I was being needed to show on the crown 👑 vs Raymond was the tilt .;
Great video bud. I’m starting my first day tomorrow at a place that has all Crown but I’m so used to Raymond high-reach. Crowns are a very different beast. I was on one once during my training, we had one in the place, the rest were Raymond’s. I found, because I’m tall, that I was hitting the up/down with the stick while I was driving and almost spilled a pallet. I really hope this doesn’t happen tomorrow. Thanks for the great video. 👍
@@flashy5150 bro I use this same forklift at work like can you tell me what screen I need to be on when tryna stop my time I basically need help knowin what screens to be on if even pay you since your the fastest picker/ put aways
i love crown Reach forklifts, they are fast and smooth and can do multiple functions at the same time. The store i work at had one but got rid of it because of its age and hours of use. I hate the clarks we have, they always have problems with the joystick controls or the steering motor going bad.........
you dont have to find the sweet spot to stop or change directions bro you can slam it opposite direction and it isnt going to do anything. its called plugging.
Either way about the comments. I start July 31 for training on the samw ones and tna. thanks mang I made my own metal setup to mock the controls to practice. Good luck to all training n stay safe ppl
You forgot the Auto tilt feature. Which is hold the trigger and tilt pallet down and you will hear a beep and the forks will be level. handy when your forks are 8 meters high and your putting a pallet at the back.
@Gerardo Portillo right on. Exactly. Sometimes u bump a pallet crooked.... just pull up next to it and bump it straight or outta the way for a bit till u get back to it
When your moving things rather than turning your truck picking it up then wasting time turning left or right just shove it with the truck work smarter not harder
I don't like these things. raymond and yale reaches are so much better. the controls on these crown reaches aren't as responsive and the reach overall isn't as strong as the raymond and the yale. I have put a little over 4k pounds on a raymond reach and you couldn't even tell, it lifted it so effortlessly. the crown reaches start complaining at around 2.5-3k pounds. the hydraulics squeak and bounce a little, and the fans start revving up. and for some reason all of the reaches and pacers from crown in every warehouse I have been to for my company, all have a shot bearing somewhere. I hear wheel bearings rumbling all the time on these things and occasionally cone aross one were there is a bad bearing in the hydrualics that squeaks like a pig. the only thing I like about the crowns is that they are quiet and they ride better.
Try holding the trigger and pressing the tilt button (either one) , it will level the tynes automatically to horizontal. and those arrows you say do nothing for you, well.......you could program your reach to lift and stop at your desired heights, just saying, makes a normal reach driver a fucking gun!
I think depends on the model and I do not believe that the reachlifts have an auto tilt , only seen it on the regular stand up which it was helpful becuase the normal stand up you couldn’t tilt down too much or you couldn’t raise your forks up

The taped on "cup holder", I don't think I've ever seen a reach truck without one lol.

Ty for the video.
crown is best for me. used to it maybe hehe.
I appreciate this just learning
The Raynors are so much more simple to control
"Raynors" huh??............never heard of em
Do you mean Raymond?
For the clamp crown forklift, what controls open and close the clamps? im guessing its the side shift control
Its the fourth handle. But you have to hold the button on that handle while using it.

not all models have it though.

Toyotas have that same feature
That only applies on the stand up crown ( non reach ) reachlifts donot have an auto tilt
what happen your Reach truck ? that lot of scratch.. Some people don't care the equipment
older model crown probably used for certifications and demos

The mast does not tilt, the carriage has a cylinder that pushes it fordward & backwards.

Crowns are only good for Pallet jacks
