One thing that is difficult to gain in USA seems to be Trumps accountability. Here in New Zealand the media can follow politicians around and call them out on the street or in the halls of parliament actually stopping them to talk and answer questions. But in the U.S. Trump shields himself from any media he doesn't want from getting close. Which in a way denies the freedom of the press to hold him accountable to his face.
I think their annoyance is a reaction to someone daring to out him. Or perhaps, an automatic belief its a lie or why would he keep reiterating the opposite. Since projection was brought months ago, theyre convinced its what the enemy does. His doubling down all the time. Why he brings "bad" things up consistently, is the circular logic application.
