📌 Thanks for stopping by! Had a great time taking the little Honda to it's first dyno day. I know it's not fast, but I think this video will be fun to look at in the future if we decide to make more serious engine upgrades to it. Consider this a starting point.🥴

Dude! I just watched EVERY episode of this series last night! I wake up today to a new episode! YES! Ngl I love your channel, your calm and slow demeanor compared to other car channels super-duper-hype-vibe is refreshing, and the way you speak, and the luck that you have, it's no question you are a remarkable human being who truly appreciates what he has. I love when you go into detail about things and make statements like "I'm so blessed" "I'm so lucky" you always look on the positive side and the luck you have in your videos reflects that. Karma is truly on your side brother. Keep being an amazing human being! PS: I'd love to see more of the black Integra you found at auction ;)
Dude this may be one of the nicest comments ive got on here. I’m really happy you’ve been enjoying the content! you guys are the reason I get to continue to do cool stuff like this. I appreciate you 🫡
Can't wait to see where this little Civic goes!! This content is also very close to home for me. First car was a 95 DX Coupe, I live in Rhode Island, so it basically rusted out from beneath itself. That was over ten years ago. I picked up a 2000 Integra LS I have had as my daily for ten years now. I put a lot of work to keep it on the road over the years, but seeing these videos has really made me want to dig even deeper and start making some real changes like suspension, coilovers, a REAL cold air intake lol (I got the warm air AEM special) and just last year I got my dream car, a 2006 Honda S2000. Your videos have really inspired me to get my hands a little dirtier and really learn to appreciate these cars, even in stock form. You don't need a 500 HP+ turbo setup to have fun. You truly have a gem on your hands with that little EK. Much love man! Can't wait for future content. :)@@bendaga
I can't stand the vast majority of car "shows"... God that one.... goon brother or goober brothers? I watched them when they were tiny and they were border line but not horrible. Now... omg every other word is bro and dude, I can't do it I had to mark them as "do not suggest".. this channel is def easy going and easy to take
Do another dyno day with header and cat back see if you can hit 100hp. And yeah who cares your having fun keep up the great videos.
I was eyeing the DC Sports Header and maybe finding a D16Y8 header to swap on this setup. could be fun to see the results on another dyno session! and yup 100%, all about just having fun
Don’t diss the D series! There are stories of people not being able to blow them up while trying to on purpose with boost! Super underrated and easy to find!
I got love for the D16! small but mighty lol
The fact that you were able to bring it to a mint condition for the biohazard civic is mind blowing!! can’t wait to see what’s next for the hatchback .
🫡🙏🏽
What a trooper this little Honda! She's stolen the hearts of so many of us.
Found you a while back watching the auction car videos, ever since you bought the Honda its brought back some inspiration in my personal builds and made me actually buy a Manual Honda Fit! I've always wanted a Honda but I've already got one old car so two would be overkill for my household lol, Awesome series and can't wait for more with this and the Integra and the BMW. Great video as usual!
congrats on getting a manual fit! those are really fun and practical cars. glad you’ve been enjoying the content and I really appreciate the kind words!
I really do like your point about the outcomes and experiences at the dyno. No matter the stigma you should be able to take your ride in. It was quite exciting seeing the hatch make 90hp. D series baby! I anticipate my own dyno day with my stock BA5 1989 Honda Prelude Si and seeing you have such a fulfilling experience gives me hope. Loving this series! It all started from the vehicle auctions.
appreciate it. yeah I think it should be an acceptable thing to do no matter what you drive. those preludes are sweet, hang onto that one 🔥
Higher than I thought! Definitely sounds the part. 🤙
Good job little Honda you are humble and fun
appreciate it!
Sad that some people have forgotten what all makes cars enjoyable. Horsepower is cool and fun but it isn't everything. This Honda is awesome because of how you found it and all the work you've put into restoring it. Watching this series from the beginning to where this Civic is now, it's like night and day lol.
Just curious, what car club are you a part of?
I'm local to north Seattle and have had a hard time finding people who aren't shitty when it comes to folks with cheaper/more affordable cars.
I've been to the all local Cars and Coffee and I have met too many people who are gatekeeping a-holes.
Anyways, I think it would awesome if you had like a weekly/monthly local meetup where like-minded car folks with their tastefully clapped builds can hang out with no egos/judgement! I'd totally be there!
Love the content man! 🙌🏾
Id suggest checking out grassroot racing scenes. you will meet some of the most genuine car people that way. the car club is called avants
ITS BACK!
yessir
@@bendaga hope we see more content about the stinky civic
The sound from your Civic reminds me 1:1 Gran Tourismo 3 on Playstation 4 ;)
vroom vroom
I love seeing someone else on their civic journey, and just as excited about every little step like I am.
cool vid been thinking of getting the dc intake.
Next vid should be painting the crusty engine cover with a nice and shiny/matte colour 😊
what color tho 👀
Even though the car is biohazard, it's still worth it to turn it into a fast car.
Awsome video, if your looking for handling mods for track you could get a rear subframe brace, rear lcas, camber arms, toe arms and a rear sway bar. All in all it came to 180 just waiting on shipping. Cant wait for more track content
its actually on the to do list! hoping it will lead to less spinouts on the track 😂
Curious what part of Washington you’re from. I used to work for a repair shop in Portland that flipped cars and I swear I’ve been to some of the yards you’re from. I have watched a lot of your shorts. And decided to check out some of your other content. Keep it up bro really dig your stuff. Lmk if you ever need a hand in any of the yards and I’ll keep an eye out for you.
I love your videos i hope we meet at the track one day
Love this series !! I had a question where do you think i can find a car like yours K have been looking everywhere and no luck.
try the typical places on the internet, but you would be surprised with the power of leaving a note on one parked on the street!
Epic
lol ty bro
Get an ITB it will sound so crisp 🤤
pricy piece but would sound amazing
You should make an E46 compact M3
should get a rolling shell del sol so when it comes time to swap the hatch’s engine you could put it in the del sol
How much did you originally get the civic for, just as a comparison to mine
Do the suspension bro! 95hp woohoo 🤩😂
You should keep it D series but mini-me swap it for Vee Techs
suspension ftw 🎉
You ain't beating the record of my Corolla! :D
challenge accepted 😭
@@bendaga Don't destroy your engine on purpose to reach
Love your little civic 🤟
My quick research says that it had 106 horsepower when new in 1997 so 97 horsepower in 2023 is impressive and laudable. Don't overstress your little car; we need more little manual cars in this world of gas guzzlers and monster trucks. I respect you for your knowledge, maturity, and small car perspective.
Too many people have more horsepower than brain cells 🧠, ™️ ©️
Best regards from the Oregon coast,
-- 1996 Corolla wagon 1.8L with faded paint, 5 speed, and 336,400 miles; bought it 2.5 years ago for $1,100, getting 30 mpg. Enjoy what you enjoy !! 😊
really appreciate the kind words. the crazy thing is I had that same exact car in college. bald tires, 5 speed wagon. all I did was change the oil because I was a broke college student and it never let me down. amazing cars!
Mine is a sleeper. Ugly outside but new tires on the original steel wheels with hubcaps and lug nut locks. New battery, new windshield, A/C recharged, new starter, plugs & lines, distributor cap & rotor, etc. Comfortable and functional all around. No knock on Honda (I've owned 2) but Toyota is the most reliable brand 😊. Happy driving 😄 !
Loved it!, so about 100hp to the wheels equals to what at the crank? or the conversion is not direct.
thanks! and im actually not sure
@@bendaga if the engine is a D16Y7 you are right on the money accordingly to the online "calculators" , no horses have escaped yet from that engine, which is surprising and not a the same time, being a Honda
96hp, lets gooooooo
gang
What is stock horsepower? And do you know what hp was before the dyno?
With the old airbox maybe will get that 100 hp 🤣
😂
"Never compare your car with other cars they have their own specs and power" specially for that guy who was pretending like its slow
Pretty good numbers for the old engine. A good set of headers should put it over 100 hp. Some guys hate it when people talk about the budget build than their high hp high dollar car😅😅😅
Anyone know what's up with the power dip around 4500 rpm?
What version is it? 1.5 or 1.6?
Exhaust soon??
🤷🏽♂️ 👀
New exhaust and headers?
that would be rowdy for sure

Do a civic ex intake manifold, or better yet, a VTEC head swap!
that would be awesome to find those bits at a junkyard
You should turbo it
Didnt those cars come with like 98 hp from the factory?! To lose only 5 of those horses after all those miles and years is actually insane. I guess that goes to show why the japanese make the best 4 bangers on the market
Don’t go crazy over the numbers, D series are not N/A monsters imo. Turbos make them come alive. If your going to track it put money in suspension and brakes. Tire too make the difference. You can have all the power you want but if your car can’t turn power is useless.
yeah im not horsepower hungry right now, but I would love to refine the suspension more for track days
Whys there such a large bump/spike and then drop in the chart?
good question; im actually not sure
@@bendaga Id get it checked out, maybe look at data logs from the dyno, can tell you a lot loving the build tho my man
Get a hondata s300 for the civic
you don't have to answer this question but how many cars do you own
5
Duuuuuuuuuude
you muuuuuuuust go on y8 intake manifold and 4-2-1 exhaust, just must
It is a noticeable difference
And if you put in there p28 ecu with hondata/hondavert??? My g-d it’s gonna be badass time attack jet
that would be a real transformation 👌🏽
No, you mustn't
Crazy ideas win crazy prizes 🤡
U can get it tuned
need that laptop tune
@@bendaga i want this car to be a sleeper car ... But NA
Unpopular opinion, you don't have to k, B, H, or J swap it just drive it and enjoy it.
run what you got

VEEEEEEEEEEEEEETEEEEEECCC🤬

One day k20 all motor nitro fuel
Making fun of a person because he or she has a stock car with low power is just childish these kinds of people need their ego broken.
Can you please say "my name is bendaga" instead of "youtube" in the intro plz? Thanks!
Does the oil stabilizer actually work ?
My car drinks a little oil too so if this actually works it could help with it
it helps a little! but not a long term solution
i wonder what your stance on gay marriage
