But at the same time, if he didn't want to be credited, we should be able to trust that he had good reasons for making the decision that he did, even if we don't fully understand them, and respect his decision.
Yup sonic 3 was originally supposed to have that but due to the game being split in 2 they had to give the second part (Sonic and knuckles.) An extra level they couldn't give launch base since that would be the last level so they gave it flying battery.
Can we acknowledge that he A) never got hit once B) done all of this in less than 1:30:00 C) he didnt fail a single special stage D) he got all rings in every special stage And E) completed most levels on average in 1:30 - 2:00 minutes. This man is the legend we didnt ask for but needed desperately.

I prefer what happened in the original games as opposed to what was supposed to be, transition between mushroom and sand seems weird to me (sonic decides to float toward a desert because reasons instead of having Tails airlift him or running on the ground).

I feel as though this could be optimized even further (certain areas lost a few seconds in time, special stage pathing, and as everyone else is saying: tails TAS too)
