A TAS taking damage has to consistently be one of the most horrifying things humanly possible, either its going to be some absolutely insane looking trick, some RNG manipulation you'd never notice, or absolutely nothing, and the possibility of the first one is always terrifying.
It's funny how people complain about Tails being able to fly over entire levels in SA and yet here it is happening in the most refined 2D momentum-based sonic game out there lol

I'm kind of laughing at all the comments complaining about "You said no glitches" or similar to the boss skips. Flying over the top of the level is not a "glitch". That's the game behaving normally. You are supposed to be able to jump over the top of "soft" camera boundaries. Heck, the devs even seemed to be aware of the Flying Battery act 2 boss skip. There is that little bit of trivial extra platforming if you come from above to the act end capsule; they clearly designed that area.

I feel like Tails is superior in any Sonic 2D games (even in speedruns) mostly because with his ability to fly, he can mostly skip a lot of parts, combine that with speed, and you mostly end up at the end in short time as possible. I feel like other Sonic games need to have Tails as a playable character, since having only Sonic to be playable may be boring every time (thats just my opinion)
Yeah, most Sonic games post-'06 just have Sonic playable and only Sonic, and it's really dull at this point. Sonic's friends really should be playable in more Sonic games from the last decade than just Mania and the three Boom games.

imagine this with encore mode, manipulating all the characters to get the best possible characters for the best sections, im sure the routing would be awesome, also 19:13 that sync had to be intentional
Coming from whoisthisgit's Sonic Mania without Moving video, this feels like Tails is revisiting all of the zones by himself after having to fly around Sonic slowly through them before...
None of the routing looked too incredibly out of reach until PGz2. Whether or not you could do that without TAS, skipping that whole level looked awesome!

I really like how the game sometimes lets you outrun the camera a bit just to have that extra little feeling for how fast you are going.
