New Balance SuperComp Trainer V2 | Field Test Review
Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 чер 2024
- The New Balance FuelCell SC Trainer is the thickest, cushiest, bounciest shoe ever from New Balance. The SC Trainer V2 is a completely different approach to the brand's max cushion shoe, even dropping the stack height down from 47mm to exactly 40mm in the heel. Jeff Dengate takes the SC Trainer V2 for a test run and shares all the details in the update.

Note: Around, 5:45 Jeff means FuelCell, not FreshFoam. We made him run a lot… 😅
But it's an easy mistake to make in THAT shoe. Fuel cell with a plate feels pretty soft.
This review was amazing. Really in-depth. Appreciate Jeff going slow and being personable and informative.
great review keep up the great work
Great review 👍
I have also found that lacing these was a challenge at first. I was tightening them, too much? I found that a looser lacing these worked better for me also. Appreciate the review.
I *finally* got a pair of V1 in early September 2023. I LOVE them! Stocking up on them for the foreseeable future---V1 did NOT need to be changed.
I've heard V1 is narrow. True?
@@filoIII I don't think they're narrow, but I did have to go up half a size from my usual 9.
@@stevestarr9769 Run a bit short, ey? ty
@@filoIII Yup! Width was fine.
Love these shoes. Worth every dollar.
I am disabled and look for comfort shoes and this SCT v1 and v2 is my absolute FAV shoe ever!!! then I love my Nike IR2 not the 3 I think the upper is terrible and a giant step backward! then I have my new balance Fresh foam x more v 4 boy that's a mouth full but love em anyways!!! this is my rotation not for running but speed walking I have rods and many pins or screws in my right reconstructed ankle. If I had to really chose between the SCT v1 or v2 I will absolutely choose the v1 every time but... its so close that I do Have 2 pairs of each shoe 1 pair each to do my 10 mile walks and 1 pair each to go out to eat go to the mall or just w/e I am doing standing all day they make it effortless! I am still 271 pounds and I have never bottomed out the SCT v1 or v2 but I am NOT running!
January, 2024, $115. But my first supershoe was the Fuel cell TC: and $50/pair, two pairs. Still running in second pair!!
i like this shoes, btw the scenery is so great, where is it, sir??
Yeah, where? Could be anywhere. I guess north
Central Florida.
Making everything "sustainable" is the excuse for higher prices. By the way great review while running.
DEI. Companies MUST do this to continue getting loans from Blackrock and Vanguard.
@@filoIII And why do Vanguard and Blackrock require this?
@@snowwalker9999 Look at who owns them, and what their world views are.
I tried this in the store on the treadmill and I felt it bottom out too. Not sure what to think about that. I didn't really feel that carbon at all.
Yeah that soft, less-dense, foam he talks about around 3:24 could raise several concerns. Personally, I often find fuelcell too soft for my stability needs. Tough to picture anything that soft and airy providing reassuring stability.
But was it OK on the tread? That push/pull on the landing/ transition. Plate pushes you forward, tread pulls you backwards.
I am a heel striker and slow runner and in the Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 2 I feel the plate under the heel when running... Midsole way to soft... Killing my calfs and Achilles tendon.
Not sure why all the "wonderful " reviews of that shoe. Only good thing was the forefoot outsole.
Was V1 wobbly?
Need a bit of correction around 5:48. Gotta keep those foam names straight.
Lack of blood to the brain! Ha.
He literally did almost the entire video without any cuts while running, give them a little slack
I think you mean fuelcell not freshfoam, foam..
