DPR IAN is one of the people I was really lucky to find out about. The first song I heard was Nerves and it stuck in my head for weeks and then the next one and the next one and every time I listen to his songs it feels fresh and relatable. I don't even mention how amazing videos look. You can see how much effort and passion are there in DPR IANs projects and I hope I stay with him listening to his music for a long time

ballroom extravaganza has been on repeat for eight hours this is too good and i didnt think it could get any better than mito but somehow a single song is reaching that level and higher i seriously cannot wait
I'm crying. I don't know how to describe these emotions that I feel, the melodies, his voice, the visuals, it's so powerful. It's giving me chills haha
I'm so proud, it's really a movie, I can't even imagine what the rest will be like. I think we are going to collapse with tremendous works of art, whoever survives has my respect haha

0:52 Why does this part make me so emotional? I think it's the emotion you can hear in his voice. The chaos of him basically screaming out while the wind, rain, thunder, and lightning rips around him. I don't know I think I connect with that part on a really deep level. It's very similar to what I feel like is going on inside my head during the dark times. Which have been just about 98% of the time this past few years. I just discovered Ian two days ago through a twitch streamer/youtuber called Roscoe who did a deep dive into learning who Ian is and his story. While I don't have DID, I do suspect I may be Bipolar (like my mother) and I do have a long wrap sheet of various mental disorders that make me feel very similar emotions to Ian if not the same ones. His music is turning out to be very healing for me and is inspiring me to get back into being creative with art and other things. So I know you wont ever see this Ian, but at the off chance you do, Thank you💜 you're helping me and I'm sure many others cope with the storms and mayhem going on inside our minds.
I watched him perform this last night in Sydney. Hearing this song live and seeing him perform it in his home city, after 10 years of being away, it was such a beautiful and moving experience. I'll never forget it

he's stated before that mito (and miito) are about his experiences with having bipolar disorder so that would be the superior force. mental conditions really do feel like a war with yourself.

I cannot stop listening to his album over and over again. I am addicted to all his music and his story that he is telling through his creation. This is insane. He is the art itself. Hopefully he does one of his tours in Canada Toronto someday.

Been listening to the track on Spotify and if I’m reading this right and the lyrics are about wrestling with staying alive long after your inner demons have tried to kill you, it’s heartbreaking. Titling that horror show a ballroom extravaganza and inviting us in to watch the mess though. Oof.
If externalising our pain to deal with it and create characters of them is one way to like, navigate the facets of who we become with destructive mental illness, why not glam it up and look at it head on in all its beauty and danger both, hmm. I might be wildly off track lol, but it’s refreshing to see stuff like this being explored, lyrically and visually both. Might just be my take.
Either way, appreciate what you’re putting out! And kudos on what looks to be some fantastic cinema. Can’t wait for the video and album

i am not even being dramatic when i tell you that ballroom extravaganza awakens every cell in my body. when i listen to the song it feels as if i am levitating. my heart becomes one with the song. i can feel every single emotion you put into the song so vividly. the cinematics in this teaser are incredible. ballroom extravaganza is a fucking masterpiece and i cannot wait to see what the rest of the album has in store
