Does anyone else realize that the person he's scared of is not anyone around him but just himself? In the whole setting it's only him and another depiction of himself. At some shots we see Ian restrained and trying to break free whilst the other him is manic. There is also a play in the lyrics; "so leave the lights on and stay inside". They’re an independent group...unless you have connections or money there’s no promoting your stuff to compete against the labels. I must say they seem to be doing well from the view count in comparison to groups from smaller labels. At least with them doing everything themselves, they’ll ensure that they put their 100% in to reap the profits from their craft. The money goes straight to the group and doesn’t have to be filtered down through labels, parent labels, managers and an entire team. I’m super proud of their achievements plus they’re hot too

I just love how DPR Ians music isn’t your usual. You’d imagine a rapper or an RNB singer but he’s some kind of hybrid beast. So many different genres come together with Ian. I’ve bought every single one of his albums
after seeing this mv, i felt so motivated. it changed my whole life, now i'm a successfull person. i got 10 olympic gold medals, 6 oscars, 7 nobel prizes. next year i'm planning to buy the moon. it all happened because of dpr. thank you so much

After watching his IG live, I could clearly notice how important the concept of the new album might be to IAN's expression of personal experiences and also to the reconstruction of his image towards other people to see and even to resonates with it. It's interesting that at the beginning of ''Scaredy Cat'''s mv there were voices telling news on tv like when someone's alone and tries to search for an exterior voice in order to get a distraction from the voice of your own but, considering all the things that are happening right now, it doesn't seem to really help. It's hard to get away from a loop that includes your own voice and thus you might feel afraid of letting this part of you express itself. Almost all the scenes pictured this moment of anxiety and insecurities which made me think of the moment before an artist goes to the stage and appears in front of people that don't even know that he might be feeling this way but he hides it for a while and does what he prepared. It seems that we are all artists at this perspective and IAN did a meta-analysis of it but the difference is that he was being genuine and he made this side of the show - the backstage - more transparent, especially when he talked about his experience with bipolar before releasing this mv. Maybe I went a little far and that was not exactly what he suggested but I thought of these aspects at the first time and I'm glad that he shared this with us and he gives us this space to show a part of our ''backstages'' as well. i just got here (long-time kpop fan who finally decided to see what this dpr ian guy is all about) and i've been binging his mvs for the past hour. i've been captivated by his style and artistry! everything from makeup to set to expressions tells a story. and as a person with anxiety disorders this one really resonates with me. i might have to listen to every song he's ever made now...oop

what I like with ian is all the passion he puts into his songs and videos he manages to make us feel all his pain his frustration his anger and I find it just incredible it's rare today to see singers so involved and passionate about their profession I love the message that ian sends through his songs.

Both the song and music video have such ominous undertones despite being so bright and vibrant. Even though the song sounds upbeat and happy, the lyrics talk about being scared and the fear of being alone. Ian is also carefree and dancing around in the video, but is then shown in a straightjacket, which often symbolizes feeling trapped and the obvious portrayal of mental instability. Definitely a video you need to watch more than once, amazing work always!
Discovered D.P.R. over the weekend, with" Summer Tights/Boom"...these guys are on a whole different level, with music and their M.V. this is a brilliant song, love his voice...do hope they get the recognition worldwide they deserve....
This song & the artist himself deserve so much more attention. He’s brilliant. Enjoyable music without being vapid. His voice, it’s tone, his harmonies, the lyrics, the synth & percussion- all blend perfectly while still maintaining some pleasurable dissonance. & then his music videos are also very engaging with unique & very well-developed aesthetic; they are almost like very short films as they most often follow a narrative. He’s very handsome too of course but with a ruggedness unseen in traditional Kpop as even when an idol is dressed in more rugged, chaotic, ragged / ripped / dirtied clothing, the idol nevertheless looks utterly put together, everything like clothing & accessories planned precisely, the makeup flawless, etc. so the formal & informal look perfectly flawed together, any flaws purposeful. I mean I know his video is equally planned out so that everything is precise & purposeful. Nevertheless there is an uncleanliness - I’m trying to think of a better word; I have one on the tip of my tongue but it’s not coming out - I don’t know, flaws or … something that makes him more real, less of a doll like idols often seem to be forced into being. Dolls who have prerecorded voices, not only prerecorded “live” shows but also the extreme censorship of what they say. I could be totally wrong & he’s just as controlled. All of this together produces some genuine talent.
This has been in my list since it came out and I finally got to it tonight. This is totally how I feel. Having severe anxiety and panic attacks that cripple me inside. Having minor agoraphobia lately and staying at home because I'm too scared of having panic attacks in public. Even when I want to reach out I feel like everyone is judging me so I stay quiet and just continue the back and forth from work to home. On the outside I look fine and can function like a normal 20-something should, but on the inside I feel like I'm slowly going crazy. It's like I'm being held captive by my own mind, but I'll be alright if I can get past the worst of it. Ian totally expressed the same type of feelings with this. I don't think I've been this impacted by a MV and music in a while.

Okay okay okay, watched the video a few times and I want to point out some of the masterful things I noticed (the whole this is a masterpiece tbh): -the radio noise mentions the past locations of the other M/Vs (so DPR IAN’s main persona in the videos is a serial killer?!) EDIT 4: GUYS, HE’S NOT A SERIAL KILLER. After watching other M/Vs the character for sure killed his girlfriend (played by the magnificent CL). He probably drowned her??? Which is why In the lyrics for Nerves he says “she’s getting to the surface” he probably killed her and then dropped in a lake in the forest during the So Beautiful M/V or he drowned her (alssooo, CLs verse in No blueberries says “no air to breath with this masking tape” coincidence? I THINK NOT) -I’ll call DPR IAN in the black jacket the “sane” persona and the strayed jacket DPR IAN the “crazy” persona because I think they’re two halves of a whole persona who is trying to keep his “crazy” persona ‘closeted’ (maybe the actual person is the DPR IAN in the white shirt and khaki pants???) EDIT 5: there’s a specific thing to notice, the “crazy” persona is shown to be present by DPR IAN having one eye and the “sane” persona has both eyes. - @0:59 y’all see he was flicking blueberries??? (Don’t know exactly what it means but definitely think it’s in reference to “No Blueberries” and thought it was interesting) EDIT: after a few more watches, the blueberries could be when he’s battling with his demons *in reference to the No Blueberries M/V* - @1:01 the “crazy” persona comes out of the closet and escapes - @1:24 “sane” persona is hiding under bed w/ gun. Maybe he found out the “crazy” persona escapes escaped and is hiding from his “crazy” persona? - @2:54 the “sane” persona is seen with his mouth duck taped and bounded at his arms and legs. (Was this done by the “crazy” persona???) - at the end, the same “sane” persona is then seen in the elevator but he gives a smirk, could this be a hint that the “crazy” persona took over the “sane” persona???? EDIT 2: YOU GUYS, I THINK I FIGURED THIS LAST PART OUT A LITTLE MORE. The “crazy” persona SWITCHED CLOTHING with the “sane” persona. Soooooo we THINK we’re seeing the “sane” persona but it’s actually the “crazy” persona. (So maybe the insane persona is the one dancing around in the video sometimes???) Also, still don’t know about the very last part with the wardrobe change. I’ll come back if I figure it out. EDIT 3: I THINK I FIGURED IT OUT. The guy in the white shirt and khaki pants is the REAL guy the other two are personas (or personalities) and the “crazy” persona took over at the end (hence the smirk) and then they cue to the REAL guy in the white shirt who is probably gonna go kill again now that the “crazy” persona is out. Tbh, wouldn’t be surprised if the next M/V is for “No Silhouette” since the video went black and white at the end. EDIT 7: like I mentioned in my other edit, don’t think he’s gonna kill again cuz he’s not a serial killer but I do think he may resort to killing himself which definitely makes my assumption that the next M/V will be No Silhouette because in the lyrics he mentions “this is the end”. He also talks a lot about fire in that one so is he gonna die by fire? Who knows. But that’s my rough estimate on what will happen next. EDIT 6: there’s so much to unravel in regards to all the M/Vs. Keep sharing your ideas in the comments! I’ve spent so much time trying to decipher what is going on but if it ends how I think then it’s gonna be brilliant. DPR IAN, you’ll probably never see this but you are a genius my friend That’s all I have so far y’all. I’m definitely missing things and I’ll probably find more as I watch it more but if you catch anything I missed lemme know! One last note: stream MITO🔥
i personally think the crazy and sane personas you described should be switched around though... like black suit ian locked up sane ian in the wardrobe so he can get his way and kill all those people.. which also explains why black suit ian was looking confused at the closet doors at 2.15 bc he figured out “sane” ian escaped and then goes looking for him
After watching all MVs, I'm having such 2 crazy theories LOL: 1. MITO has taken over IAN when he was at Devil's Diner (in No Blueberries) and he had killed someone there so his girlfriend left him. 2. Same as the 1st theory and then he had killed, not someone, but his girlfriend there. If the second one is the plot twist then it'll be so shocking and memorable, though too harsh.

You have to look for the eyes. The one with the "missing"/white eye is MITO. He is the less controlled alter ego from the other videos and when the frame is black and white, that's a sure sign you see him. So I suppose ho took over in the last scene. And the entire freaking out was about his imminent appearance. That's how I understood it.
Analysis #3: There is definitely an eye motif that is prevalent throughout each of DPR Ian's MV's. Take the missing/ blurred eye for example. Eyes are universally known to be indicative of good, evil, protection, wisdom, knowledge, secrecy, and mystery. Moreover, eyes are a gateway into the soul. His missing eye is a reflection of MITO; his alternate personality. With one eye, we are given this idea that he is half himself, half MITO. In "So Beautiful" the lyrics read "I think I've got my sight for you. I don't mean to let it brew". He feels MITO is beginning to cease control over his body and it's something he can't control. In no blueberries he sought out to hunt down and kill MITO but ultimately failed and ended up running away from MITO in Scaredy Cat. In other words, the missing eye means he feels he is beginning to change into MITO and he is not ready to accept it.

My theory about this m/v : At the beggining, we can hear on the radio that he was "last seen at Devil's diner" which is likely to be the diner he is in during no blueberries. After his fight with the creature ( mito?) He runs away and hides in this abandonned place, where he lives in constant fear as the police is still searching for him and trying to track him down. We can guess that he caused a lot of damage during no blueberries because of his fight with mito, but he might not have realized it at first ( which is why the police is talking about "horrific bodies", but it might also be mito's body, since it is indeed quite scary) so now he's hiding and slowly falling into madness because he's always alone. He is also scared of going outside so that he doesn't get caught " close the blinds/ i'll stay inside"
Ian said in 'moodswings in disorder' that this song was inspired by fear. He said that MITO has this character inside him too, one that's always scared but curious. 'curiosity killed the cat' so Mito is a 'Scaredy Cat' as he is scared of this curiosity. The video is very Joker-esque in make up, movement and character. Ian also said in his documentary that villain's are normally misunderstood. I feel like he's trying to get at the fact that he misunderstood Mito. He's scared of this dark Mito that is inside of Ian that he didn't realize that Mito is scared of this character inside of him , just like Ian. You see at the end of this video Ian going into 'Welcome to the show' and he said in his documentary that 'welcome to the show' is like a acceptance for Mito and it's when he realizes Mito is him and he needs Mito... As a film student this is just my take, don't hold me too it! Also u are right about 'last seen at Devil's Diner' being a reference to 'No Blueberries', The creature was not Mito as Mito is the one fighting the monster, but I think it's Mito's fear of not being able to connect to people as Ian said in the doc that it was inspired by people that no matter what you do, you cannot connect to them - as it then goes into 'nerves' which I think is based on not only a past love and how Mito and Ian shared the same feelings for this girl 'He loved you' (ref to Mito as it's sun by Ian) but also seems to be about how Mito hurts Ian.'That you were standing right there' - ‘you’ as in the girl, Ian was so wrapped up by Mito (himself) hurting him that he didn’t realize that she wanted to help him. Or something like that. Just my interpretation, there are so many ways you could see it I suppose . which is really cool!

BIG theory: i think these songs connect, 5stars- so beautiful- nerves- no blueberries- scaredy cat- welcome to the show -5stars- the whole song describes the relationship cl has with ian. in the middle of the mv (2:21) there is a picture on the wall of a man (ian) standing in a forest. while in some scences we see them dancing together in a forest. its the same forest from "so beautiful". -so beautiful- the mv starts with the same picture from '5stars', and ian says 'before i change again, remind me of the time i still remembered'. then we see him trying to recognise himself and wandering in the house lost. in a scence we see him in the same forest trying to remember and find himself. Mito has taken control of him and CL propably cant stand his new self, so thats why she pushes him into the water. -nerves- in 'nerves' we see another picture, this time of a man (ian) standing on train rails. right after, ian says 'when did it all started? i cant remember". he propably came back to his previous self, or a new self, where he regrets leaving her (CL) and hes sorry bc he couldnt held her when MITO had taken over him. Refering to the lyrics, hes nervous of what MITO will do to him next, thats why he says hes getting to the surface, meaning he wants to fight it. -no blueberries- for once again, there's a picture, of him standing infront of the restaurant "devil's diner". we can see at 0:42 a man in a astronaut hat, which is dprlive. he wears the same cloths and his hair is visible from the back. I think live is kind of ian's guardian, because later on when they were in the car, they didn't crashed on MITO, because live was with Ian. While Ian was annoyed from the blueberries, the lights go off and everyone dissapears. that's when MITO appears. i think he uses blueberries to represent the colour, bc in the lyrics says "so when you think its almost over, i got this blue to make you come up". i believe that ian uses the blue colour to 'call' MITO and fight it. so when MITO appears,it chases ian and he runs away from it, while on the same time he tries to fight it. also, ian and cl sings the line "i need to run away from you". i think that, when ian sings it, he referes to running away from MITO, while CL to run away from ian. in the end, he returns at the diner. everything is normal again, exept that he has a big scar on his face and that the blueberries are back on the ice cream. -scaredy cat- in this mv we see another picture, while the news report that 6 yrs passed since ian was last seen at the devil's diner, and that they suspect someone with a missing eye (ian). he is hiding in a house(?) alone and starting to be scared of himself. we can see him in a closet, tied up, and various clothes hanging around him (that other characters have worn in previous mvs), like he's waiting to see which version of himself will be next. he's starting to lose his mind and always tries to hide from his other self. the ian with the black suit is playing with blueberries and red petals. the ian with the white shirt is taking pills and he looks anxious and afraid. in the last 2 scences we see black-suit ian unconcious on a table with masking tape on his mouth. afterwards, we see him entering an elevator and closing the doors. when the doors open there is white-shirt ian fixing his clothes. i think in the next song we will see the white-shirt ian and that's why they used the elevator, to show that MITO changed him once again. -welcome to the show- welcome to the show is the last one. and thats why he wears the same clothes he was wearing at the end of scaredy cat. in the beginning there is a picture of him on the stage, and while he walks towards the stage we see all the different parts of himself. he says that everything feels familiar and wonder if its his memories or his (MITO). he also (probably) asks MITO 'who are you' and then goes on stage. the lyrics are refering to MITO and ian says that he wants to leave him alone. he's afraid of what will come next, that he tried to hide and that he's lost. in the end its like he's welcoming someone to the show, basically his journey, whether this someone is his fans, MITO or even ian himself. he wants to be alone, thats why he says to close the doors, but at the same time he needs someone to understand him. i also noticed there is a golden key on his neck. one theory of the key is that it might unlock his inner demons and he's welcoming us to see it and experience it. i believe that with upcoming comebacks we will learn more about it and that this was only the "introduction". edit: an update at "no blueberries"

Does anyone else realize that the person he's scared of is not anyone around him but just himself? In the whole setting it's only him and another depiction of himself. At some shots we see Ian restrained and trying to break free whilst the other him is manic. There is also a play in the lyrics; "so leave the lights on and stay inside". The manic Ian is actually the one scared of the real Ian because the only time he gets his mania is when the real him is gone.

They’re an independent group...unless you have connections or money there’s no promoting your stuff to compete against the labels.
I must say they seem to be doing well from the view count in comparison to groups from smaller labels. At least with them doing everything themselves, they’ll ensure that they put their 100% in to reap the profits from their craft. The money goes straight to the group and doesn’t have to be filtered down through labels, parent labels, managers and an entire team.

I just love how DPR Ians music isn’t your usual. You’d imagine a rapper or an RNB singer but he’s some kind of hybrid beast. So many different genres come together with Ian. I’ve bought every single one of his albums

After watching his IG live, I could clearly notice how important the concept of the new album might be to IAN's expression of personal experiences and also to the reconstruction of his image towards other people to see and even to resonates with it. It's interesting that at the beginning of ''Scaredy Cat'''s mv there were voices telling news on tv like when someone's alone and tries to search for an exterior voice in order to get a distraction from the voice of your own but, considering all the things that are happening right now, it doesn't seem to really help. It's hard to get away from a loop that includes your own voice and thus you might feel afraid of letting this part of you express itself.
Almost all the scenes pictured this moment of anxiety and insecurities which made me think of the moment before an artist goes to the stage and appears in front of people that don't even know that he might be feeling this way but he hides it for a while and does what he prepared. It seems that we are all artists at this perspective and IAN did a meta-analysis of it but the difference is that he was being genuine and he made this side of the show - the backstage - more transparent, especially when he talked about his experience with bipolar before releasing this mv.
Maybe I went a little far and that was not exactly what he suggested but I thought of these aspects at the first time and I'm glad that he shared this with us and he gives us this space to show a part of our ''backstages'' as well.

i just got here (long-time kpop fan who finally decided to see what this dpr ian guy is all about) and i've been binging his mvs for the past hour. i've been captivated by his style and artistry! everything from makeup to set to expressions tells a story. and as a person with anxiety disorders this one really resonates with me. i might have to listen to every song he's ever made now...oop
My psychiatrist is still trying to diagnose me, so I can't say exactly what disorder best describes my mental state, but I will send her this song with a note that reads, "I identify with every word on a spiritual level."

I am fairly new to DPR, but I see so much talent and creativity. I've been enjoying the DPR discography! Love the MVs!
Both the song and music video have such ominous undertones despite being so bright and vibrant. Even though the song sounds upbeat and happy, the lyrics talk about being scared and the fear of being alone. Ian is also carefree and dancing around in the video, but is then shown in a straightjacket, which often symbolizes feeling trapped and the obvious portrayal of mental instability. Definitely a video you need to watch more than once, amazing work always!

This song & the artist himself deserve so much more attention. He’s brilliant. Enjoyable music without being vapid. His voice, it’s tone, his harmonies, the lyrics, the synth & percussion- all blend perfectly while still maintaining some pleasurable dissonance. & then his music videos are also very engaging with unique & very well-developed aesthetic; they are almost like very short films as they most often follow a narrative. He’s very handsome too of course but with a ruggedness unseen in traditional Kpop as even when an idol is dressed in more rugged, chaotic, ragged / ripped / dirtied clothing, the idol nevertheless looks utterly put together, everything like clothing & accessories planned precisely, the makeup flawless, etc. so the formal & informal look perfectly flawed together, any flaws purposeful.
I mean I know his video is equally planned out so that everything is precise & purposeful. Nevertheless there is an uncleanliness - I’m trying to think of a better word; I have one on the tip of my tongue but it’s not coming out - I don’t know, flaws or … something that makes him more real, less of a doll like idols often seem to be forced into being. Dolls who have prerecorded voices, not only prerecorded “live” shows but also the extreme censorship of what they say. I could be totally wrong & he’s just as controlled. All of this together produces some genuine talent.
This has been in my list since it came out and I finally got to it tonight. This is totally how I feel. Having severe anxiety and panic attacks that cripple me inside. Having minor agoraphobia lately and staying at home because I'm too scared of having panic attacks in public. Even when I want to reach out I feel like everyone is judging me so I stay quiet and just continue the back and forth from work to home. On the outside I look fine and can function like a normal 20-something should, but on the inside I feel like I'm slowly going crazy. It's like I'm being held captive by my own mind, but I'll be alright if I can get past the worst of it. Ian totally expressed the same type of feelings with this. I don't think I've been this impacted by a MV and music in a while.
You got this, you've survived 20 years like this so I'm sure you'll find a way to make your situation better.

DPR Ian has the BEST music videos of all time! My favorites so far are Scaredy Cat, Don't Go Insane, So I Danced, and Peanut Butter & Tears
Okay okay okay, watched the video a few times and I want to point out some of the masterful things I noticed (the whole this is a masterpiece tbh):
-the radio noise mentions the past locations of the other M/Vs (so DPR IAN’s main persona in the videos is a serial killer?!)
EDIT 4: GUYS, HE’S NOT A SERIAL KILLER. After watching other M/Vs the character for sure killed his girlfriend (played by the magnificent CL). He probably drowned her??? Which is why In the lyrics for Nerves he says “she’s getting to the surface” he probably killed her and then dropped in a lake in the forest during the So Beautiful M/V or he drowned her (alssooo, CLs verse in No blueberries says “no air to breath with this masking tape” coincidence? I THINK NOT)
-I’ll call DPR IAN in the black jacket the “sane” persona and the strayed jacket DPR IAN the “crazy” persona because I think they’re two halves of a whole persona who is trying to keep his “crazy” persona ‘closeted’ (maybe the actual person is the DPR IAN in the white shirt and khaki pants???)
EDIT 5: there’s a specific thing to notice, the “crazy” persona is shown to be present by DPR IAN having one eye and the “sane” persona has both eyes.
- @0:59 y’all see he was flicking blueberries??? (Don’t know exactly what it means but definitely think it’s in reference to “No Blueberries” and thought it was interesting)

Soooooo we THINK we’re seeing the “sane” persona but it’s actually the “crazy” persona. (So maybe the insane persona is the one dancing around in the video sometimes???)
Also, still don’t know about the very last part with the wardrobe change. I’ll come back if I figure it out.
EDIT 3: I THINK I FIGURED IT OUT. The guy in the white shirt and khaki pants is the REAL guy the other two are personas (or personalities) and the “crazy” persona took over at the end (hence the smirk) and then they cue to the REAL guy in the white shirt who is probably gonna go kill again now that the “crazy” persona is out. Tbh, wouldn’t be surprised if the next M/V is for “No Silhouette” since the video went black and white at the end.
EDIT 7: like I mentioned in my other edit, don’t think he’s gonna kill again cuz he’s not a serial killer but I do think he may resort to killing himself which definitely makes my assumption that the next M/V will be No Silhouette because in the lyrics he mentions “this is the end”. He also talks a lot about fire in that one so is he gonna die by fire? Who knows. But that’s my rough estimate on what will happen next.
EDIT 6: there’s so much to unravel in regards to all the M/Vs. Keep sharing your ideas in the comments! I’ve spent so much time trying to decipher what is going on but if it ends how I think then it’s gonna be brilliant. DPR IAN, you’ll probably never see this but you are a genius my friend

You have to look for the eyes. The one with the "missing"/white eye is MITO. He is the less controlled alter ego from the other videos and when the frame is black and white, that's a sure sign you see him. So I suppose ho took over in the last scene. And the entire freaking out was about his imminent appearance. That's how I understood it.

Analysis #3:
There is definitely an eye motif that is prevalent throughout each of DPR Ian's MV's. Take the missing/ blurred eye for example. Eyes are universally known to be indicative of good, evil, protection, wisdom, knowledge, secrecy, and mystery. Moreover, eyes are a gateway into the soul. His missing eye is a reflection of MITO; his alternate personality. With one eye, we are given this idea that he is half himself, half MITO. In "So Beautiful" the lyrics read "I think I've got my sight for you. I don't mean to let it brew". He feels MITO is beginning to cease control over his body and it's something he can't control. In no blueberries he sought out to hunt down and kill MITO but ultimately failed and ended up running away from MITO in Scaredy Cat. In other words, the missing eye means he feels he is beginning to change into MITO and he is not ready to accept it.
It kind of reminds me of “The Tell-Tale Heart” by Edgar Allan Poe

My theory about this m/v :
At the beggining, we can hear on the radio that he was "last seen at Devil's diner" which is likely to be the diner he is in during no blueberries. After his fight with the creature ( mito?) He runs away and hides in this abandonned place, where he lives in constant fear as the police is still searching for him and trying to track him down. We can guess that he caused a lot of damage during no blueberries because of his fight with mito, but he might not have realized it at first ( which is why the police is talking about "horrific bodies", but it might also be mito's body, since it is indeed quite scary) so now he's hiding and slowly falling into madness because he's always alone. He is also scared of going outside so that he doesn't get caught " close the blinds/ i'll stay inside"

Ian said in 'moodswings in disorder' that this song was inspired by fear. He said that MITO has this character inside him too, one that's always scared but curious. 'curiosity killed the cat' so Mito is a 'Scaredy Cat' as he is scared of this curiosity. The video is very Joker-esque in make up, movement and character. Ian also said in his documentary that villain's are normally misunderstood. I feel like he's trying to get at the fact that he misunderstood Mito. He's scared of this dark Mito that is inside of Ian that he didn't realize that Mito is scared of this character inside of him , just like Ian. You see at the end of this video Ian going into 'Welcome to the show' and he said in his documentary that 'welcome to the show' is like a acceptance for Mito and it's when he realizes Mito is him and he needs Mito... As a film student this is just my take, don't hold me too it! Also u are right about 'last seen at Devil's Diner' being a reference to 'No Blueberries', The creature was not Mito as Mito is the one fighting the monster, but I think it's Mito's fear of not being able to connect to people as Ian said in the doc that it was inspired by people that no matter what you do, you cannot connect to them - as it then goes into 'nerves' which I think is based on not only a past love and how Mito and Ian shared the same feelings for this girl 'He loved you' (ref to Mito as it's sun by Ian) but also seems to be about how Mito hurts Ian.'That you were standing right there' - ‘you’ as in the girl, Ian was so wrapped up by Mito (himself) hurting him that he didn’t realize that she wanted to help him. Or something like that. Just my interpretation, there are so many ways you could see it I suppose . which is really cool!

the whole song describes the relationship cl has with ian. in the middle of the mv (2:21) there is a picture on the wall of a man (ian) standing in a forest. while in some scences we see them dancing together in a forest. its the same forest from "so beautiful".
-so beautiful-
the mv starts with the same picture from '5stars', and ian says 'before i change again, remind me of the time i still remembered'. then we see him trying to recognise himself and wandering in the house lost. in a scence we see him in the same forest trying to remember and find himself. Mito has taken control of him and CL propably cant stand his new self, so thats why she pushes him into the water.
-nerves-
in 'nerves' we see another picture, this time of a man (ian) standing on train rails. right after, ian says 'when did it all started? i cant remember". he propably came back to his previous self, or a new self, where he regrets leaving her (CL) and hes sorry bc he couldnt held her when MITO had taken over him. Refering to the lyrics, hes nervous of what MITO will do to him next, thats why he says hes getting to the surface, meaning he wants to fight it.
-no blueberries-
for once again, there's a picture, of him standing infront of the restaurant "devil's diner". we can see at 0:42 a man in a astronaut hat, which is dprlive. he wears the same cloths and his hair is visible from the back. I think live is kind of ian's guardian, because later on when they were in the car, they didn't crashed on MITO, because live was with Ian. While Ian was annoyed from the blueberries, the lights go off and everyone dissapears. that's when MITO appears. i think he uses blueberries to represent the colour, bc in the lyrics says "so when you think its almost over, i got this blue to make you come up". i believe that ian uses the blue colour to 'call' MITO and fight it. so when MITO appears,it chases ian and he runs away from it, while on the same time he tries to fight it. also, ian and cl sings the line "i need to run away from you". i think that, when ian sings it, he referes to running away from MITO, while CL to run away from ian. in the end, he returns at the diner. everything is normal again, exept that he has a big scar on his face and that the blueberries are back on the ice cream.
-scaredy cat-
in this mv we see another picture, while the news report that 6 yrs passed since ian was last seen at the devil's diner, and that they suspect someone with a missing eye (ian). he is hiding in a house(?) alone and starting to be scared of himself. we can see him in a closet, tied up, and various clothes hanging around him (that other characters have worn in previous mvs), like he's waiting to see which version of himself will be next. he's starting to lose his mind and always tries to hide from his other self. the ian with the black suit is playing with blueberries and red petals. the ian with the white shirt is taking pills and he looks anxious and afraid. in the last 2 scences we see black-suit ian unconcious on a table with masking tape on his mouth. afterwards, we see him entering an elevator and closing the doors. when the doors open there is white-shirt ian fixing his clothes. i think in the next song we will see the white-shirt ian and that's why they used the elevator, to show that MITO changed him once again.
-welcome to the show-
welcome to the show is the last one. and thats why he wears the same clothes he was wearing at the end of scaredy cat. in the beginning there is a picture of him on the stage, and while he walks towards the stage we see all the different parts of himself. he says that everything feels familiar and wonder if its his memories or his (MITO). he also (probably) asks MITO 'who are you' and then goes on stage. the lyrics are refering to MITO and ian says that he wants to leave him alone. he's afraid of what will come next, that he tried to hide and that he's lost. in the end its like he's welcoming someone to the show, basically his journey, whether this someone is his fans, MITO or even ian himself. he wants to be alone, thats why he says to close the doors, but at the same time he needs someone to understand him. i also noticed there is a golden key on his neck. one theory of the key is that it might unlock his inner demons and he's welcoming us to see it and experience it. i believe that with upcoming comebacks we will learn more about it and that this was only the "introduction".
