Things have been very different for me ever since I got into DPR LIVE. Man raised my standards so high that Imma die single. I don't think I can settle for anyone less
You don’t actually know who he really is. Don’t self sabotage
here it is my theory:
at the beginning of the video we can see them passing the sandwich between them but she doesn't really care about it, she starts to care only when he eats it, but she still holds on it when he passes it, kinda taking the chance because the sandwich is there. that's how their relationship went, with a little difference: the sandwich has feelings. we can see him searching desperately for her for those occasionally nice memories and she's there for it at the beginning but doesn't really care, she just spends time with him because why not. but with time she gets bored so she leaves more frequently and lastly doesn't come back. he's desperate, we can see his nose bleeding and then the car accident. he's the one getting hurt in the relationship but he still wants to hold on it. when the car accident happens she realizes how good their memories they created together were but she also feels guilty so she tries to give them back, (the plant) but she can't. so at the end she is just there, with nice memories but nothing else. he's not with her, maybe the car accident was something abstract, he decided to move on after ultimately being deeply hurt by her, and she starts to miss him, or maybe the car accident really happens, but at the end the outcome of it is the same, she's alone and she is starving for that sandwich only after losing it. hope the explanation makes sense and i apologize for eventual mistakes but english is not my first language.

Here’s my theory of this M/V:
THE BEGINNING
The two are a happy couple but things start going sour when instead of understanding each other’s needs, they become selfish and stop communicating. That’s when they decide to use the glasses which sends them into a VIRTUAL REALITY which lets them forget and redo everything that happened irl.
THE VIRTUAL REALITY
DPR Live is a nerd, DPR Live chases Candy, DPR Live changes himself, Candy becomes happy and eventually they both get together and become happy. The VR becomes the new reality for them. The nosebleed plays a vital role.
THE VIRTUAL REALITY WITHIN THE VIRTUAL REALITY
They yet again wear the glasses and now they enter a VR within a VR. They are seen sitting in a taxi. The nosebleed happens again which is a symbol of the impending accident DPR Live is about to get into.
THE REALITY
DPR Live takes off the glasses thinking that he’ll stay in the VR, but he ends up going back to reality. He starts searching for Candy fearfully, thinking that she might not have affection for him anymore now that they are out of the VR, but is unable to find her. He ends up getting into an accident and Candy is too late to the scene.
THE NEW VIRTUAL REALITY
Candy feels guilty for being unable to save DPR Live and playing the push-pull game with him. Heartbroken, she picks up the glasses and redoes everything DPR Live did in the VR (give her a plant, be affectionate with her). But eventually, she knows that he’s not alive anymore and she’s just interacting with the Virtual Live. The last scene is her standing alone with the plant she’s unable to give to him. DPR Live too is standing alone with the plant in what seems like an afterlife, or maybe a new reality he has awoken in.
THE END
This reminded me a lot of the concept in inception, like how the injuries transfer over dreams and take more time to affect the person and how once the characters start enjoying the dream within the dream, they never wanna leave it because of how ideal the world is. Here, instead of dreams, we have VR [or they might be different levels of a VR game Candy and DPR Live have entered.]
While I’m at it, I would also like to bring attention to the absolutely immaculate use of colours in this M/V:
1) Orange and Pink: In the very first scene we see colours change from pink to orange. This introduces us to the fact that pink represents Candy’s perspective and orange DPR Live’s.
2) Green: After the first scene the dominant colours are orange and green, green representing the struggle DPR Live is going through to keep Candy happy but Candy is either irresponsive or inconsiderate.
3) Blue and Purple: In the second half, blue colour grading represents the reality and as soon as DPR Live gets in the accident, Candy’s hair starts turning purple=pink (her rose coloured vision) + blue (the reality and the guilt seeping in). In the end, her hair becomes purple [and blue].
4) Red: Since the M/V shows a relationship between Candy and DPR Live as an analogy for the relationship of DPR Live with the music industry and fans, in parts with red lighting/colour grading we see more of how the industry/fans interact with DPR Live's music. In the red parts we see him lying under the seats he sets fire to, but since he's under the seats, he's not associated with the fire, similar to how projects by DPR don't get enough recognition. In one scene, people sit on the bench. To sit on/over something means to prevent people from knowing about that something. DPR Live talks about how a lot of people say "Wish I was the only one to know him", this prevents him from getting the acknowledgement he deserves. After the accident, he is surrounded by flowers but still under the bench and the lighter is not lit anymore. It might be a representation of how some artists get recognition after they are no more but that sort of recognition does not have much significance.
Also wanna point out the checkered floor (in the restaurant they are eating the burger in and DPR Live is seen lying on later in the video) is the same as Devil’s Diner in DPR IAN’s No Blueberries M/V. Some shiz goes down whenever lights flicker in this diner for some reason lol.
I didn't talk about the video with respect to the song much so I would like to add that Candy represents the fans who come and go, not showing much support and DPR Live as an artist has to work super hard without getting the appropriate recognition for his work. It can also be a commentary on how people start supporting artists after they are gone when it's too late and the appreciation (the plant) holds not much meaning for the artist anymore. In conclusion, share and stream this masterpiece.
Kudos to everyone who worked on the video and ofc the song is an absolute banger. Respect.
P.S. I'm in no way trying to imply my theory and interpretation is right. I'm no professional, I'm just a fan with too much time. This M/V is like a painting. Every person will have a different interpretation of its meaning.

This filter is cool. I think it's used a bit in parasite too. SK has some amazing style
The characters , the lyrics, the locations, the situations ,the spaces between them , and OMG the use of Colours with the vibrant begining and slowly developing it into a cold tone. This was such a treat to the audio and the visuals. Earlier he starts with his blissful time with candy , but with time her frivolity to grasp the depth of his involvement is shown. Later he's left alone trying to search for her and at the end he gets hurt with the accident and disaranged mind. I also like how the name of the girl is candy. Candy also being a favourite food of both kids and adult , but is not something profoundly healthy. Yet people devour in having candies because of the sweetness, without reckoning the future consequences.
Dpr's vision is so supreme and how they come up with new everytime 💓
