We own this trailer and are enjoying it so far. Dinette was a plus for us hosting friends who have joined us or game nights between neighbors. A true queen is nice because you dont have to buy different sheets. We went between this and a very similar floor plan, but fit and finish were just better.
Josh, I totally agree that this would be an AWESOME “entry level” couple's camper if it had a porcelain toilet, a ladder and a sofa or theater seating instead of an uncomfortable dinette☹️👍👍👍
I prefer the u shape dinette for eating, can always take table out and add a couple of pillows for lounging. It also gives us flex sleeping space for Granddaughter, or if friends need to crash a night after dinner and drinks. There's room on that kit when counter for my Margaritaville frozen concoction maker. SOLD! Love the storage in this, and the shower doors in place of flimsy, leaky curtain.

Great review Nerd! Add a ladder, make that curtain thicker so you can’t see through it, put struts on the upper cabinet doors, and give the buyer some options instead of a dinette only and I think they’d have this one nailed! I like the open storage area under the bed and also love the fact that they didn’t go with a camper queen bed. The bathroom is just the right size for this unit and there’s great storage space in the living area. I agree the outside speakers need to be lowered. This rig is priced right and can be towed by a wide variety of vehicles. I think they have a winner here! Thanks for another great review Nerd- see you on the next one!

Wow surprised. I have a year younger model, cabinets have holding up arms, and a few other things that seem to have been dropped ( or lack of supply?) no ladder, true we bought a extendable one. Dinette does great for games on wet nights, though the cushions after awhile become lacking of comfort! One day I’ll upgrade to an outdoors RV!!
I actually really like this! It’s got a great kitchen and I love the half wall separating the bed area from the rest of the RV. I’d take out the dinette and put in a nice, comfortable, manual leg lift couch. It makes a great first time camper for a couple. Even a couple who has a kid.
Couch over dinette. Nice rig but a bit longer than I want. I have a Nissan Frontier Pro 4x and looking at a Apex Nano or a Clipper off grid for next year. Kudos for the Pepto song demo.
I owned the 2018 version of this trailer for 2 years. Towed it with a 2018 Silverado 1500 (no max tow package) and an Equal-i-zer hitch with absolutely NO issues. Interesting that they went with the top hinge doors on the upper kitchen cabinets: the 2018 had side hinge double doors. Glad they got rid of the headache-inducing shelf above the bed. Many improvements over the 2018 model. I wasn't crazy about the dinette either, but we made it work. I don't agree with Josh on the toilet legroom issue, and I am slightly shorter than him. We mainly bought this trailer because of the kitchen: it's bigger than some Fifth wheel and Motorhome kitchens I've seen. Power stabilizers would have been nice. Liked the Slam latches, didn't like the plastic toilet. It served us well and was relatively inexpensive, so if you can get it cheap, it may be good for your half-ton truck. Thanks for the review!
I really like this kitchen but the hinges do need to be rotated 90 degrees on those overhead cabinets. I'm short enough that I wouldn't be able to use them as is. It would be nice if all overhead storage doors opened sideways for those of us who are gravity-friendly. At least this model has space to store my step stool. I like to see a little more storage in the bathroom but there's only so much that can be done in a small camper.

This has AMAZING campside windows. Even our new 22RBS Cougar doesn’t have that window beside the entry door. Not sure why, I wish it did. And the layout of the pantry is much better than the Cougar. Not as good overall storage, but the pantry almost makes up for it. On the negative side, a plastic stool! Come on. And that light fixture in the slide is a disaster. Can a half ton possibly pull this? Loving the kitchen counter and storage spaces. Bathroom is fine. It's a winner, especially at that price!!! Thanks for sharing.
Josh, do you know anything about cabinet construction in the 2022 Sundance 241BH, and overall construction quality as compared to a Jayco Jay Feather or Coachmen Freedom Express? Thanks!

At the start of your videos, you have stats on the vehicle. When there is a slide, and you also put the change in width and/or length in the description please?
I provide specs verified by the MFG. I like that idea but I don’t have a reliable source for that info and am not able to measure out all the different requests I get But I do appreciate the constructive ideas
Hi Josh - curious question - I always understood that between 10%-15% of the trailer weight should be on the hitch, to prevent sway etc. Those numbers show 7.7% of Empty & 5% of fully loaded. The Empty concerns me the most, in that you could intentionally load the Front heavy to get the needed balance, but not when empty. Am I missing something ?
This is a fantastic point. Let me see if I mis-typed something... So I just checked Heartland's website. 380lbs IS what they list. However, I highly suspect that's an error. Models just smaller or just larger are all showing 520lbs+ of hitch weight. I suspect this one might be 680 and someone bumped the 3 on their 10-key pad (which is something I've done before)
@@JoshtheRVNerd Very possible. Thanks. I'll never forget, when as a 16 yr old, I was behind the wheel of an International Scout with an improperly balanced Starcraft Starmaster 8, flying down the Interstate... it took a half a mile before I could straighten it out. Never want to do that again.
There is a large correlation between park camping and "light duty" off grid use on the eastern side of the country and heavier off-grid use in the west/south It's not a 100% correlation certainly. I'd prefer to see both fridges offered in both regions
I personally like a big U-dinette as my husband and I play cards and games in the evenings. I've been in this one and I like it. The Azdel is a must for our next rv. Another positive thing to note: The back seat in that dinette is full depth (I believe) which is a huge plus for me. So many sneak in that silly shallow depth back bench seat that is extremely uncomfortable unless you're five. I'm still on the fence with that open storage under the bed. Also, not having struts on those cabinets is just plain silly. Thanks for another great review! Any chance Bish's will come to WA state?
This was recorded in Oregon not far away all things considered. We're expanding right now so it's very possible we'll be in your backyard at some point but I don't know of any current plans
Considering how high the bottom step often is, and no handle to hold to climb down, I’ll buy that great collapsible ladder I can buy and store Can a person get just a full size mattress? I would a free standing table instead.
Try these instead: → Apex: bit.ly/3vigxnt → Rockwood: bit.ly/3oOFmGh → Cougar: bit.ly/2XeUilz → Wildwood: bit.ly/3Eo1BIT → North Trail: bit.ly/35ZShgU → MPG: bit.ly/3M7ixGh → Shasta: bit.ly/39jqABD Same general layouts with a lot of sofa options
You need a dinette if you have kids. That is not the kind of trailer, someone with kids would purchase. No comfortable seating, I pass. Add no struts on the cabinets. Definite pass.

At the start of your videos, you have stats on the vehicle. When there is a slide, and you also put the change in width and/or length in the description please?
I provide specs verified by the MFG. I like that idea but I don’t have a reliable source for that info and am not able to measure out all the different requests I get
But I do appreciate the constructive ideas
What is the logic behind West being 2 way fridge and East being compressor?
There is a large correlation between park camping and "light duty" off grid use on the eastern side of the country and heavier off-grid use in the west/south
It's not a 100% correlation certainly.
Can I pull this with my Scion? 🤣🤣🤣
😆
Is there storage under the center seat? Is it outside only?
There is. Need to lift the cushions. Good for "now and then" stuff
Considering how high the bottom step often is, and no handle to hold to climb down, I’ll buy that great collapsible ladder I can buy and store
Can a person get just a full size mattress?
I would a free standing table instead.
Factory only offers the true queen bed shown. You could certainly swap mattresses, but the bed base would also kinda be there I think
They need to really boost the solar panels on the roof.
Looks almost perfect, other then dry weight. :(
1:23 so far Ive liked everything I’ve seen… until NOW 🤨 Gotta swap those towel hooks for a towel bar❗️🪛 #ScrewdriverWork

NO sink in the bathroom. ! Big miss for me
There's a sink in the small vanity. You'll see it when Josh pans around the bathroom.
Lost me at U - dinette and no comfy recliners

Cushioned #Hair or No Cushion #Bald 🧑🦲 😉
Minimum Height Required 😞
Scalp Stopper 3000 lol
You need a dinette if you have kids. That is not the kind of trailer, someone with kids would purchase. No comfortable seating, I pass. Add no struts on the cabinets. Definite pass.
Fair enough! Check those similar model links in the description.. some good things there you would prefer I think
Lol you said it has a plastic stool. 😂 💩
