Josh, there’s meaning to the term “Snake River”. It’s one of the largest, most powerful rivers in the West and it flows through several states in the Pacific Northwest. We fish it, raft it, marvel at it. Also, it helps power our homes. For the markets your western stores serve, it has a positive vibe

    • @JoshtheRVNerd

Ty for this - I know snake river is an amazing destination. The name feels awkward for an rv. Sounds Indiana Jonsey BUT this series primarily sent out west where the name likely makes the most sense

Thanks Josh! Nice unit but no Solar no deal - manufacturers' need to step it up in that area. Also any unit with less than 55 gal freshwater is not useful for travel boondocking. Nice colors, good windows, like the shower/bathroom, true queen bed and nice storage though struts are essential! Ventless floor would be better but the placement is workable. Thanks Josh - another nice unit!!! Thanks for all your hard work presenting these to us!

I actually don’t mind the lack of a bedroom wall the curtain is just fine makes it seem more open, Road mode is excellent… The only thing I cannot understand is how anyone is putting out a camper these days without a solar package. It seems that solar is going to be the way to go for everything so why you wouldn’t solar prep it or put at least a minimal solar package is beyond me. That’s a dealbreaker in my book!

These do have an unfinished look, and border on “cheap” in person, but I still like this basic floor plan, and it is lightweight. One thing that’s odd with the overhead doors is that they don’t just have it swing open sideways if they wanted to save money by leaving out struts.

Hi Josh, another great video. I got very excited at first seeing that this was a 23 foot box vs the 22 in the Imagine and Cougar (with a similar floor plan), until I saw that STUPID (raise/lower) TV set up. That is nothing but a useless gimmick (just another thing to go wrong). Also needing two TV's so you can see one from bed is two thumbs down. The coach could have benefited by that extra width in the dinette area. Also the under bed storage set up SUCKS. I want the Cougar (15" wheels and King bed), but I will probably end up with the Imagine (14" wheels and Queen bed) as the Imagine has a much better price (Imagine is like a $10K or more, lower price). Also If I remember the kitchen top cabinets are better (there are center shelves) in the Imagine. Also the cougar has the double sink so you cant fit anything in the sink, The Imagine has a single bowl sink. I also want the shoe garage, so the Sundance will get a pass.

At first glance I quite like it. Nice decor, layout.
But, I'd need the fridge door and the cupboard doors beside the stove to open from the other side.
I prefer theatre seating, but if the sofa bed had cupholders in the arms I could manage.
I like the televator in this instance, allows for a larger tv than if it was on the wall.
The open space under the bed is not to my liking, I'd prefer the usual lift access. If I wanted to make it a pet space a door could easily be cut out, but the lift would still allow for easy cleaning.
I like that the top board on the dinette back rests are finished wood, and not wrapped in vinyl with the buttons, usually poorly done.
I like your idea of a shoe garage. It could be about 6" high then there could still be shallow storage under the dinette seat.
    Lots of potential here. ✌️🇨🇦

NOTES: I like this trailer. I could pull it with my Ranger as long as I didn't put the full 2400LBS of cargo in it. I'm not sure I even HAVE 2,000LBS of stuff I'd want to schlep around.
I noticed all the shades. But not one in the door. I 100% agree with you that they should just put the shade in the door.
I personally would prefer the King bed.
On the dinette--manufacturers should replace the door handles, which are going to catch on things and potentially hurt people or damage the doors, with the push-spring latches, where you push on the door a bit and it pops open. Cleaner look, and far less of a catching hazard.
I live in the west, but I'd prefer the 12VDC fridge to the gas/120 which I can't use while towing the unit. IS THERE A 3-WAY OPTION AND IF THERE IS WHY DON'T WE EVER SEE THAT???
They went to the trouble of putting a back splash of some kind behind the stove. They should have wrapped it around that side wall that's directly against the stove as well.
The bathroom is... disappointing, like they put all sorts of cool stuff in the camper (pop-up TV) and then realized right before they started building that "oh, crap, we need a bathroom, too!"
I would prefer they got rid of the hard mounted outdoor speakers and tossed in a portable rechargeable Bluetooth speaker. I won't use the hard-mounted ones, and sooner or later that's two seals penetrations in the wall that will start leaking.
I didn't hear anything about solar or solar prep. That's a deal breaker for me. But overall, it's a nice trailer.

@@carolynschafer5252 ... after learning a bit more about slides in general since this last comment i made, i have come to the conclusion... mostly from josh and others covering topic, we know in a motorhome, if you can fit in it, you can ride/sit/lay in it, slide open or closed for the most part, would even be possible to seatbelt your ass in to bed like a prisoner with drop down dinette bed or couch.... rv may crash and roll but you wont get flung all over, be hanging from bed upside down when cops come.... talk about rude awakening..... in pretty much every trailer and every slide (to be safe) i would assume the complete opposite... definitely, do NOT sit lay or ride in any slide at all, nor even just take a few steps thru it if can avoid it while closed.... especially as a visitor not the owner, from that point you can do the research and possible testing required to find out if THAT particular slide, in that particular unit will be... worth the risk of using.... and the one thing noone that i have learned more about these from has mentioned this one factor that i think is probably a main factor.. after considering this particular trailer and slide..... ok yes it can handle another 300 or so lbs probably, weight of 2 people, since it has fridge pantry and all in it, food and such is kinda heavy.... so the weight would not be what would break the slide if you were sitting on couch with it closed..... it would be all the movement involved.... getting up, plopping down, shifting around especially while sleeping.... 300 more lbs of dead weight just sitting there no problem, 300 lbs. of weight basically sloshing around in the slide like a pool of water... down up left right forward back... if you ever slept in a water bed, you know if you move to readjust , waves of energy ripple back and forth across the mattress for 30 seconds sometimes.... that is what you are doing to the slide mechanisms and such when you occupy it.... that is what breaks them... not simply the fact you are in it... for the most part. i am sure there are slides, such as dinette OR... not and.... couch only, nothing else much in there to add weight slides, 2 people just getting in it would add a huge amount of weight maybe double or even triple the weight it was designed to hold closed, it very well might break just by stepping foot in it, unlike on this trailer, this slide already built to have near 1000 lbs in it, fridge alone probably 100 pounds or so, then add a camping food load, lots of meats and canned or bottled drinks, all up in that slide, simply adding another 200 lbs for a couple hours once in awhile probably not effect it much... but if you were shaking around plopping down and getting up constantly, yep could see a problem develop. and yes knowing exactly what kind of slide mechanism to begin with, without even knowing anything else about it, will give you a pretty good idea if even possible or not to use it closed. some trailers but overrated slide systems on a slide that really does not need it, and turn around and put a weak ass mechanism on the biggest slide they can find.... if your slide is on i beams as example, you could probably dance in it... other systems you may not even want the dog in it closed lol. and all of them, all slides on trailers and rv both, have potential to trap, allow to escape, or kill any pets you may have..... something else never mentioned anywhere.... get up on drive day, close slides... few hours later... hmm i have not seen the cat yet this morning..... (normally not a shocker nor a problem at home) the more slides i have seen in motorhomes, the more possibilities i spot, use your imagination when looking at them, cracks and crevices..... that open and close, come together, expose outside access of various sizes until sealed the other way... dont let a ferret loose in one of these with slides, it WILL find everyone of these holes, and knowing rv construction, you not going anywhere until it chooses to come out on its own, might be 4 days later, or while you asleep, come out and go back in. etc. cats too if can fit. some dogs as well will do that.... basically could be any animal, only way to prevent it is to make sure they either can not fit, or can never find it in the first place which means on leash or crate / cage as case may be... not to say all cats and dogs will go in there, know about it or not... some like to lay under beds, some always on top of bed... some do both. the ones that like to sleep under beds and cubby holes are the ones that can and will easily find their way in to a slide mech and structure without you knowing... or others never be least bit interested, rather be on couch or near window etc. follow a mouse or something would be only other reason they would think of it, so in that case, may never even cross your mind could be in there... at least with the known hole lovers you will finally think of it and check. ferrets.... learn a lot about holes and hiding places with them. but any smaller animal with love to explore new things and places.... no matter, kitten puppy small cat even large cat, tiny dogs.... if they can fit, one day they will take a look, if not decide it to be their new den/sleeping/chilling spot, like they use often when you not home.... afterthought, also some builds of both engine or no engine, many other types of holes and access points, many totally on purpose, pass thru cabinets that open to both inside and outside kitchen for one, or plumbing routes under sinks, some of those in counter trash holders...that could allow for things to happen such as, where is the cat? ... discover in underneath outside storage, in the wet bay, in the outside kitchen sink, or stuck behind it even, not to mention the most common, trapped in under bed storage, wanting out after you are asleep. lol.

Not a bad layout but there are several negatives with this unit. I do like the TV, I hate the neck wreckers on the top of the wall. Needs a table and chairs rather than the booth, i would also like a theater seat rather than the small couch. No fan for ventilation, no solar, no generator. I do like the power stablizers. Bath needs to be expanded, we all need a little more room. I do like the open area under the bed, makes it easy to put tub storage under the bed and remove it when needed rather than lifting the bed and storing items that may never see the light of day again. I know it is short but spread those axils out a bit. Look is not bad and it has some promise but needs some refining to be a better option.

Josh this layout is almost identical to our Keystone Passport 229RKWE! Our Keystone has more storage space inside but I gotta say Sundance killed it on the location of the Winegard! We bought the unit for our trailer and we can’t even install it because of the slide! We contacted Keystone but they told us to contact the dealer who basically told us they would have to see if they could relocate the unit on the roof. WHY would Keystone design the trailer and not consider the location of the Winegard to be in a spot where the slide would hit it?! Ugh! Otherwise loved the “televator” on this Sundance ! Great review Nerd! It’s too small for my taste, but the thing I love about RV’s is that there is something for everybody. The bathroom is really tight, but I think it’s doable. I like the rack and pinion slide and the lack of floor registers. I really like the pieces of trim on the sides of the slide that help the seal flip out. Where can I get those? Thanks for the review. Looking forward to the next one!

Generally speaking I like this camper and it's layout. I think the kitchen has great space and storage. Where I think they fall short is on storage for clothes in the bedroom area. I think you would like to have to get very creative with bins and utilizing the overhead cabinets above the bed and perhaps with some totes slid under the bed in open space. I don't really have a strong feeling one way or the other regarding the underbed space. I think if you were getting access to what is under the bed frequently just being able to pull out a tote would be easier than lifting up the mattress. I think this trailer wins for thinnest mattress I've seen in a camper. Maybe considering many people do replace their mattress they're not really making a whole lot of effort to put anything even marginally decent in there but it's really thin. I like the televator for the TV but you made an excellent point about the fact that then you can't see TV from bed. Of course you can always use your phone or tablet to watch something in bed or as you said you could put a swing arm up at the edge of the dinette and put another TV in but it just kind of seems redundant to have two TVs in the same area. I would definitely prefer theater seats to the sofa and not being someone who would travel with anyone else I would be fine with that. I really appreciate the true residential queen bed and I like the finish on the cabinets. I would probably change the wooden area above the bed to something a little more feminine or at least less rustic. You are right and that the bathroom is extremely tight. I do appreciate the fact that it does give you a little bit of extra counter space but I would have rather have them make the camper a foot longer or even a half a foot longer to give a little bit more room in the bathroom. Overall it's a nice camper. I wasn't familiar with this brand so it was nice to see something from this manufacturer.
