Thanks for the info about charging--I couldn't for the life of me get it to charge and didn't think to try A-C.
I was wondering if I could charge it with a usb-c to c. Thank you for clearing that up. Very informative video.
I tried to do my stereos harness cables for my car and it wouldn’t heat up the cables enough for it to liquified it just turned my cables black 😂
Thanks for the video I just bought one for 68.18 cents at Home Depot I guess it will do for now because my Weller soldering station soldering lead had broke after I dipped it in water to cool off quicker burt turned it one while wet,.
I’m looking at buying the same one and your video is very useful. The only thing I’m left wondering is how the tip attaches. Does it slide or screw on?
Hey Thanks for Watching! It slides on/off see in video at around 2:20
Essentials to get some tip tinner and a brass sponge to keep your irons tip ship shape!
Weller Iron: amzn.to/3kj09C1
Tip Tinner: amzn.to/41qnhzd
Brass Sponge: amzn.to/41oZS12
Thick Solder: amzn.to/3XXm6nK
Thin Solder: amzn.to/3St0UF3
Chisel tips has no option. Final verdict is a trash.
Yeah not much for options only the 0.4mm point tip WLTC04LBA12 amzn.to/40TRuGf or the 4mm chisel tip WLTCH4LBA12 amzn.to/3zJ5JBI. The iron is limited in its ability being only 12 watts and cordless. Weller corded irons have much larger options in tip selection and the tips are much cheaper. for instance this solder station by Weller amzn.to/40Xvjin with a number of tips both pointy and chisel type amzn.to/3MwOrzf or generics with hot knife amzn.to/3nZXqia
Soldering tips are easily shaped with a file or sander (normally).
Gowno
Could be for folks, it is a low wattage iron, so not much power to maintain the heat on larger items. It's good for small items that can handle high heat.
