Jakob Huber Ugh, I should have written them down or something. I made them specifically for this video in order to help with the sale of the synth. It sold, and unfortunately they only live on the synth itself. Sorry to disappoint!
@@ChimyMusic Do you still know who you sold it to ? It would be a huge shame if these patches would be lost forever. They are literaly the best i have ever heard on a Poly 61.
@@NinoJoel Unfortunately not, it was a Craigslist sale. I suppose they're living where they started- in the ether! :) If there's a particular sound you're looking to create, I'm happy to give you my best guess at how I made it.
Hah, well, I sold this shortly after making the video and I still have the OB... so... ;) Definitely somewhat comparing apples to oranges. The OB's core oscillators are some of the thickest and most organic sounding in my collection, and paired with the per voice panning, you just get a sonic range that just eats up the whole spectrum. It's a beast, nothing sounds like it, and it's probably the favorite of the collection. But I will say this - for what the OB's are going for these days, (literally 10x the price of P61's) it's not 10 times the synth. I really liked my 61 and I was actually really surprised by how much I liked the filter. You can get some really convincing brass sounds out of it. I only sold because I was running out of room and it just didn't have a solid place in my collection. I have a PolySix that gives me the SSM thing, I have a Juno-106 that gives me the DCO thing, so it just got looked over a lot. I also really struggle with LCD parameter based panel editors like this. I like buttons and knobs. :)
@@ChimyMusic If I was ever lucky to own such hi caliber vintage synths, I would probably not consider keeping the budget ones ;) but I am glad that I still can own some less famous vintage ones
Still one of the warmest, prettiest-sounding analog poly’s I’ve ever heard. 😌✨
…Not to mention the best Poly61 demo on UA-cam I’ve ever found. 🤔
Awesome demonstration and channel!
That quick blast of Subdivisions was a treat! :)
Glad someone noticed it!
Great demo, Maestro Chimy. Thanks for some unique voicings and for not playing each patch with the same licks in C! (lol)
Where can i find those patches ? Love to have them.

@@ChimyMusic I will bother you with that some day when I Finished restoring one of these.
Thanks for the great video
how did it stack up against your OB?
