DEMO: 5 Minutes of Sounds - Roland JX-3P Kiwi feat. Julius Rodriguez
Переглядів 2,6 тис.4 роки тому
This synth has sold! Still enjoy the demo. :) The has come to sell another synth from the collection. I invited my friend Julius Rodriguez over to take the Kiwi-moded Roland JX-3P out for a 5 minute (okay almost 6) spin before she goes. Otherwise, be sure to check out more of Julius and enjoy the demo! www.orangejuliusmusic.com/ orangejuliusmusic

Bach On Synths - Two-Part Invention No. 15 in B minor, BWV 786 - Dan Chmielinski and Chase Baird

Chase Baird and I thought it would be fun to sight read some Bach Two-Part Inventions on EWI-controlled Prophet '08 and Moog Sub Phatty. We both think Bach would have been a middle-aged, ponytailed synth nerd.

Moog Grandmother // Gram Jam No. 2

Gram Jam round two! These are seriously fun to make. Still totally digging this synth. I've learned a few tips and tricks since my last video. I'd imagine I'm probably a couple hundred hours short of fully understanding what this thing is capable of. This jam is actually a re-work of one of my older synthesizer compositions entitled, "No Known Universe." Once again, other than the drums, all so...

First notes with my new Moog Grandmother! I just received this a few days ago and I'm absolutely loving it. Seriously incredible character. I can't wait to explore it further. Other than the drums, all sounds were created using the Moog Grandmother. Hope you enjoy!

    How did you sync the arp on the moog to the drums? By ear?

    • @ChimyMusic
      @ChimyMusic 2 роки тому

      Yes actually! Kind of crazy thinking about that in hindsight. I basically just notched the tempo knob up until it lined up with the drums. If I were doing it today I would absolutely have MIDI'd it in. :)

    how did it stack up against your OB?

    • @ChimyMusic
      @ChimyMusic 2 роки тому

      Hah, well, I sold this shortly after making the video and I still have the OB... so... ;) Definitely somewhat comparing apples to oranges. The OB's core oscillators are some of the thickest and most organic sounding in my collection, and paired with the per voice panning, you just get a sonic range that just eats up the whole spectrum. It's a beast, nothing sounds like it, and it's probably the favorite of the collection. But I will say this - for what the OB's are going for these days, (literally 10x the price of P61's) it's not 10 times the synth. I really liked my 61 and I was actually really surprised by how much I liked the filter. You can get some really convincing brass sounds out of it. I only sold because I was running out of room and it just didn't have a solid place in my collection. I have a PolySix that gives me the SSM thing, I have a Juno-106 that gives me the DCO thing, so it just got looked over a lot. I also really struggle with LCD parameter based panel editors like this. I like buttons and knobs. :)

    I absolutely can’t get enough of these jams! They’re so much fun, I can feel how inspired this thing makes you. I’ve been comparing the Grandmother to some similarly priced synths and I don’t know, it just has something really special. I have a feeling I’ll own one by the end of the year.
