- I've been using Degree antiperspirant for years and the last stick I bought was terrible. In this video I go over the main changes, why it's bad, and how to tell the old deodorant from the new kind.

Omg I’m glad I’m not the only who noticed. Now my armpits feels wet, but the worst part is that my shirts are getting stained
Yes all my shirts are ruined.
Thanks for this. I thought I was going crazy. The new NEW ones even have a different scent 😢
For the past few months, I knew something was wrong. I've never gone through bars of deodorant this fast!
I’ve been getting the new matte sticks for about a year now and have not been happy at all. I have experienced everything you mentioned in the video. Thanks for the tip about the Advanced line of deodorant. I think I’m going to try some other brands because I’m not happy with Degree pulling this on us.
I am joining the club of those that have been users of Degree Cool Rush exclusively for years and years and never got musty. Work all day in the heat and smell fresh at the end of the day. I had not been musty for as long as I used it. Lately it stopped working. Get out of the bath or shower fresh, put it on and in a couple of hours start to smell a tad sour. I thought it was the laundry detergent. What has happened te me even crossed my mind. It has changed that drastically. Degree bad , bad move. You had a great product that I stood behind and had faith that I would stay fresh beyond the daily scheduled morning cleansing. I have laid lazy for the weekend and still be fresh on Monday morning. Now musty and shirt sweaty in a snap from a product that was 200% satisfactory. I never got musty. It was that good. It is garbage now.
That pretty much sums up their current product. I did use the new 72 hour version and it seems to work as good as the "old" kind and also smells better but it would be up to you if you'd want to keep supporting them by buying the more expensive product that actually works after they did a bait and switch on the regular deodorant.
Like you Mr. Everything it is the only thing that works perfectly and I have not even looked back since I first used it. It pretty much had no competitor and if there would be another option other than the 72 hr I really won't experiment to find out. And on top of it I ordered online for a restock and it had sport deodorant in a Cool Rush dispenser.12 of them. And the alcohol based deodorants irritate. So I am glad I logged on to research and thanks to you I will up my order to something that works. Cheaper garbage is still garbage. Thanks for the tip.
Man this is something I only recently started noticing I’ve been sweating through my Cool Rush in less than a day. And I work an office job, I shouldn’t be stinking by the end of the work day. I thought I was going crazy and decided to google it.
Ditto. Been using Degree for years and then noticed it wasnt working nearly as well. Tried Old Spice to make sure it wasnt just me. It isnt.
YES!!!! I KNEW something was wrong
Used probably 20 years. The new version is like you mentioned. Garbage and falls apart.
I agree. I just switched. Been using Degree for at least 10 to 11 years and my shirts are more stained and I now started going through two a month! I realized in 2023 I used 24 sticks of Degree, in 2022 I bought 12, and in 2021 I bought six!
Well now I’ve gotten into their newest change, which is the scent of cool rush. Packaging for the new scent now no longer has the orange on it. Been using for at least 15 years. When you get ahold of the new ones you’ll know right away and the scent only gets stronger with the body heat, in a very bad way. My wife says she can smell it from 20 feet away and she hates it as well
Degree Cool Rush is now much softer and moister in years past. Does not last as long. The container is lighter weight, but the problem is the product formula has changed. Kind of like when ice cream makers realized they could just whip more air into the product and keep the volume the same.
Thanks for the video. It was very helpful.
I've always used Degree Cool Rush and haven't noticed any change in its performance. Maybe because I get it from Sam's club and I get a couple of 3 packs so maybe I haven't gotten to the new "less than used to be" batch yet. Thanx for the heads up!
i knew something was different im so glas you posted this
Also it’s giving me slight rash and itching burn feelings when just got the new package one it sucks
I was wondering what happened. I haven't been musty since jr high but know this new degree got me musty.
The new 72 hour one works as good as the old one and I like the scent better but it also costs more.
That new one don't last a full day. Have to re apply with that. I thought I was crazy!
Just bought Degree 48H Cool Rush - It SMELLS TERRIBLE! WTF did they do to the scent? I'm bringing it back for a refund, it stinks.
I went through them so fast it pisses me off that why i use dove now
been using degree for years. what i noticed about my latest stick is from the time i put it on, for the rest of the day, that's all i could smell. uggghhhh- why so intense? i hadn't compared the softness but that makes sense that it melts and then it just emanates. i used it twice and bought something else today.
Thank you… I thought I was going through them faster.
Something has changed , I work construction never had a problem with degree , now i noticed what you pointed out, and it never seems to go on dry anymore , I switched they change some thing.
Thanks so much for this review. Have you heard from the makers or Degree?
Same problem here. I work at a prison and wear a stab proof vest I’m going through a stick of the new stuff every 2 weeks now and it has ruined all my undershirt.
Same only I don't work at a prison. Two weeks is all they last now.. I switched to SpeedStick Unscented. It's $2.59 a stick delivered from Amazon and just like Degree was 5 years ago. Not sure how long it lasts but at least four weeks and less staining. The active ingredient is the same.
The roll on still works great for me minus some stains here and there.
The cool rush spray is terrible now, it went from a nice neutral scent to some axe smelling shit 🤮
I always used degree now i just broke out in hives because of it wtf
I’ve been having allergic reactions to the new 72h 2 days after switching from the old 48. Not sure what happened but I’m out $20 (sams club pack)
I got another comment like that and I did notice from time to time (especially when I'm in the shower) if I'm scrubbing my armpits they get extra itchy feeling. It doesn't seem it causes a major issue with me but I have noticed some extra itchyness from time to time. Probably not good for my health either but any natural deodorant has never worked for me.
Arctic Edge..my Favorite..went to 48 hr...omg..pure nose-crunching ,chemical -smelling awfulness..i would pay 20 bucks for the OG.
I guess I find a new deodorant. The 72hr kind makes my armpits itch. Too bad, I’ve been using degree forever
I've noticed that a few times with the 72 hour as well. Usually it's fine but now and then it will make my armpits really itchy for a few days.
Only reasson i got degree i couldnt find rifht guard at dollar general in a two pack but i ride my bike six miles wnd its hot season again so will see how it works.
I got my first shit batch :(
I found the same issue-more sweat ever since they went to the 48hr formula. And of course I can't find any of the 12 hr formula local or on the interweb!
Forgot to mention the armpit actually has a wet dark stain. Threw out many t shirts. Will have to look for and try the harder shell cases. Thanks for the tip!
I’ve used this for years, and in the past year the underarms on all my shirts are stained. Disappointing
Is both cool rush scented same ?? And performance is same or not ??? Thoug , texture are different
The scent is about the same but it doesn't last nearly as long. I found I had to put way more on and it still didn't last as long as the older kind.
I thought I was crazy but that new 48H cool rush 1 is trash It don't last a full work shift no more they definitely cheapened it up on us to make us buy the 72H but who needs 72H I think most people should shower every day
@@Cash_Addict410 I had a good 12 month supply of deodorant of the original kind but once I saw this is what they're selling now I went to my local Walmart and found some more of the old kind and bought another year's worth. I guess after I run out of those ones I'll have to start buying the 72 hour one or try a different brand.
Yea I on the look out as well
I feel like the 72 hr degree clumps under my arms than the old 48hr. This new formula is terrible.
Degree is ok Right guard the best
So the 72 hour is the same as the old 48 hr just changed name and price ?
It seems to be about the same as the old 48hr and also comes in new scents.
After 10 to 11 years wearing degree, I switched to Speed Stick Antiperspirant the white sticks. Some types are $2.59 a stick on Amazon delivered same size and type container but 3 oz instead of 2.7 and it is the firmer stuff lasting easily twice as long with less staining. Still the same aluminum zirconium tetrachlorohydrex antiperspirant as degree. It's basically the old degree at the old price; really it is just like the 2014 size and price.
Does the 72 hour stain your clothes ?
Very little, just like the old 48 hour. Slightly does on the inside armpit and if you brush your shirt against your armpit while putting it on it'll leave a mark.
Can a girl use that???
Yes, lots of women use Degree and Old Spice. A lot of men use Dove. Deodorant is gender neutral. It more comes down to scent preference.
@@chrisalvarez7068 can i use.. Degree men?? I mean 1st one
