Being at a Slipknot gig for my first time and in the very front of the barrier was one of the most intense and best experience of my life hands down! That intro with the Blister exists was epic, the tortilla man running to my side of the stage was also mental, so cool!! What I would not give to be back there again! Thanks for the uploading, was very curious to see what happened in the back, Corey said they did a bet and he lost 20 quid since he saw 12 mosh pits!! So glad they played one of the best set list of the last times and that Clown was back!🔥😈🤘🖤💥

brother it's insane how huge it was I was a decent bit behind these guys but still no where near the back. Honestly Slipknot was probably my favourite band there this year
I was in the very first front barrier to the left and there was a sea of people behind me, they pushed and jumped all the time, and surfcrowded was insane, but I would do all again for sure!!
I have seen 1700 concerts from 1977 to the present. I have never seen a higher energy band. These guys work their asses off for those of us who absolutely love them.
Can see myself and my grandad/dad at the start of this video for a good minute. Whole family+ family friends got a good laugh of me jumping like a bunny 🤕 and my grandad/dad pulling me out of the pit we got trapped in when slipknot started it was my first download, first festival and my first experience with any kind of rock/metal bands. ty for uploading. one of my best memories and i’m glad its on video (even tho its a little embarrassing.)

This is the show that made me a full-on fan. I liked their work before and I had done a bit of my homework. But after this, I was just listening to their works non-stop.
Even though the heat was killer and the traffic on the way there was atrocious, I hade a blast at this years download. Lost my voice twice through the weekend as well 🤣
Better than a pro shot! Big cranes over the crowd, close ups and hectic editing… This is all you need. Definitely softens the blow I couldn’t be there in person to see the knot again. Amazing set, great video man! Thank you ! 🙌

@@TheRDTV1993 they didn't play a lot of Slipknot and Iowa tracks on that tour, by then they released Vol 3 and All Hope, which were less heavier and brutal. When Paul died in 2010, I was devastated, Slipknot were not the same band.

You won't be disappointed. It was my second time seeing them (the first time being the tour after their bass player died) I'd seen footage of them being fairly hit and miss over the years.. but they were on point that night for sure.
This was the best experience I’ve ever had in my life - also ngl I had my phone stolen at bring me around the same area moshing 😂- so all I’ve done here js try to find myself and relive memories for an hour and a half hahaha
I crowdsurfed 4 times during this set and can’t seem to find even a snippet of me doing so. I was dressed as Sid in a red jumpsuit with his classic BCD gas mask, surfing mainly on the left side of the crowd (same side as this vid) basically infront of the big screen.
I saw u loads all day and when we were leaving I saw u behind me talking about how warm u were in the suit and I’m not suprised 😂 wanted to ask to see the mask but was mental trying to get out so couldn’t rlly ask you u looked sick tho

The conversion is one of the more common ones you’ll find anyway, and I got mine for around £115. Where did you see me in the slipknot crowd? Because I surfed three times and the fourth was with a guy I’d met there who was in a Corey mask, but we also formed a small pit near the back barrier too which there was about 6 or 7 of us. I’m just curious if I’d have seen yourself at all. I’m 17 and a bit more used to being rough like that, so I was fairly ok for the evening and the next day, but the guy in the Corey mask I surfed with was 15 and yet taller than me lol.

Not been following Slipknot's last few live shows but given the talk going into this Download was that they had a really dull setlist that needed to be changed up, man this run of opening songs is incredible and so fresh. It's nearly like Slipknot doing a mini album tracks tour.
They've basically had the same setlist now for 17+ years now? I've been a Slipknot fan since the beginning and they have so many other bangers.......PLAY THEM ffs!

I went to download 2003 as a young 21 year old and saw metalicas surprise performance and didn’t appreciate it… seriously jealous of this years. Hope I get back there soon now I’m 41, married with 3 children😂😂.

Not really. I've been to Download in person and the front of barrier is only as far away from the stage as needs be for the stage to be as big as it is. It's a festival, not a club show.
For YEARS I thought the same thing "This sucks, look at how far the people are from the stage" but when you actually go to a festival like this it'll make sense. You can still get big outdoor festivals with big crowds and no barrier at hardcore festivals like sound and fury.
