How to paint miniatures imitating antique marble

- I painted some miniatures of the Winged Victory of Samothrace to look like ancient marble sculptures. This is a very simple project, but maybe it will be useful. I want to use these 3D printed figures as Objective point markers in my games.
The models are 1:92 and 1:69 so that they can be used with 1:100 and 1:72 but still stand out from the rest.
I didn't draw veins since the original sculpture doesn't seem to have them in distant view and at this scale I don't think it's necessary. By altering the colors, the same techniques can be used for wood, ivory, bone...
Really good !
Thank you!
Thanks, helped me alot!
I'm glad, thank you
I've seen the original in the Louvre (days like today i feel as OLD as the original in the Louvre!), and your mini looks spot on! Personally, I think the alcohol-washed model looks the best, but not enough so it would matter as a marker. Well done. . . again!
Thank you!
👍👍👍
Thank you!
Excellent and useful tutorial . I will keep it mind these 3 techniques . Thumb up ! Robert
Thank you very much! I'm already using it in my games, you'll see how good it looks.
Inspired work, looks so real, and so close to the original one!👍
Thank you very much. Copying the classics always works out well!
Very very delicate work, it looks very beautiful
Thank you very much! Proud to have this comment from an artistic channel!
Hey, this came in handy, as I also like making marble statue objective markers! Thanks, this was helpful, even though the background music made me think I left my game of Cross Out still on...
Thank you, I'm glad! Sometimes I put on the Battlefield 2 soundtrack to paint...
