How to replace Wipers on Mercedes-Benz Or Mercedes AMG

In this video you will learn how to replace the wipers on modern Mercedes models. Models include A-Class, B-Class CLA, GLA, GLB, C-Class, GLC, GLE, E-class, S-Class, V-Class and many more. For those who know chassis codes which include 117, 156, 176, 177, 205, 246, 253, 213 and many more.
This video will answer questions such as:
- Do my wipers need to be replaced?
- Are my wipers broken?
- Wipers making a noise
- Streaks or residue on windscreen when using wipers
- How to change wiper blades on Mercedes
The wiper themselves will turn yellow which means it needs time to be changed. Chances are the other will need to be changed too. If they are black then the wipers are ok unless the wipers are leaving streaks or dirt, then they need to be changed. The wipers should be quietly gliding over your windscreen so if the wipers are making a noise, then the wipers need to be replaced.
Mercedes recommend changing them every 6 months if you live in a wet climate. They also recommend you purchase Genuine Mercedes wiper blades.

For some Mercedes models the wipers are actually hidden away when not in use so you will need to go into service mode by following the steps below:
-Engine or ignition is on.
-in park
-Open door.
-then switch the car off and immediately press and hold the wiper button until your wipers go like this.
Now to change the wipers follow the instructions below:
- Fold the wiper arms up.
- Turn wiper blade away from the arm.
- Slide the catch or cover up and the wiper should come off.
- NOW BE CAREFUL TO NOT DROP THE ARM ON THE WINDSCREEN OR ELSE YOU COULD DAMAGE IT
- Install the new wiper to the arm.
- Do everything in reverse now. Sticker needs to be facing at the top and then make sure wiper is away from arm.
- Press down to close the catch/cover and that click means it is now closed.
- Now do the same steps again for the other arm.

My top tip aswell is to give your wipers a quick wipe after you have washed your car. This should make your wipers last abit longer and you will have cleaner wipers.

Hi, I just changed the wipers on a w177 2020 A class and the right wiper is juddering, it’s a brand new wiper. Any ideas?

If you followed the instructions in the video then it should not judder. Are you using Mercedes genuine parts? If so then it will probably be worth getting a refund/replacement and then test the wipers then and there if they still judder. They might refit the ones you bought first before they do refund/replace them, just to make sure the wipers are not faulty.

Hi just like to ask you about the auto brake, it made a terrible grinding sound like from the cog wheel of the transmission and then just locked up in reverse but I was just rolling the car (the road was clear and empty) any suggestion could you advice. Thank you Dr Saabb.
