Thanks for watching pops..I’m sure it could happen but how much I showed in the video almost anyone can do this themselves...thanks for helping with the install!
Thanks for watching. They got the power wheels the Christmas before as a joint gift since it’s a two seater. This Christmas they just got the light upgrade. Especially during the winter months they get more play time with it since it gets dark early. We’re you thinking about a power wheels for your kids or grand kids. Sorry I saw 1964 in your screen name.
@@GReviewz It's still a totally awesome upgrade -- especially the undercarriage lights!!! :-) Back around the turn of the century, I added undercarriage lights to my electric wheelchair -- any time I went out at night it looked as though my warp core was about to pop, hahaha!!! ;-) The "1964" in my UA-cam username simply indicates the year of my birth; I do not have children or grandchildren.
I am sorry about the children if you had wanted them. They are a blessing to me. Lol the warp core is funny a lot of people don’t know Star Trek jokes but I always joke with a flux capacitor. I mean you can rig up this same system on a wheel chair if you wanted to! My dad has 1960 in his screen name also.
Awesome build. Have a lot of questions as I am about to embark on a similar journey. How did you select the amperage (6Ah) of the battery? Does it last a long time before needing a charge? Can you show how you were able to hide the wires of the 20in light bar? Did you need to drill out the plastic rear bars to feed them? Do the light bars get hot after some use? Don't want the little one to get burned? Do you notice any speed/performance differences with the added weight? Do you have any other videos of the install or in action? How has it been holding up since last year?
Thank you so much for the feedback. I love you want to rig up some lights for your kids as well. My kids have never burned themselves on any of the lights. On my particular power wheels I did have to drill some holes in plastic to run the wires. I had to drill holes for the two front ditch lights, the rear tail lights and for the 20” light bar. It doesn’t matter what battery you use as long as it’s a 12volt battery. That battery will run all the lights about 10 hrs straight. No change in performance that I could tell. Good luck let me know if you have any other questions.
Do you have any pictures of the back of the switch. My switch wont turn off the light bar. I have to turn them both off and when i do they only turn off the rock lights. Help!
Thanks for watching. I assume you are asking about the lithium battery I got for the lighting system?! If so make sure you get a charger that charges lifepo4 battery. Here is a link to the exact charger I have..Mroinge 12V 2A Lead Acid & Lithium(LiFePO4) Automatic Trickle Battery Charger Smart Battery Maintainer for Car Motorcycle Lawn Mower Boat ATV SLA AGM Gel Cell Lithium(LiFePO4) and More Batteries www.amazon.com/dp/B07MCTXFC7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_5XMV0WMMP5HS844TMJQQ
I really appreciate you taking the time to make this video. Question for you, I noticed that the tail light rock lights stayed red as the others flashed. Does this light kit have the ability to separate the color between individual lights? Or did you hack it somehow?
Great question. I have a set of 6 rock lights. The two lights in the rear I installed under the red tail light covers. So no matter what color the led are they always look red due to the red lenses… I hope that answers your question..
Where do i find the brackets that you used to install the 20 inch light bar at the top? It looks like the brackets you have fit perfectly around the plastic roll-bar.
Thanks for watching. It was a suggested purchase along with the light bar. Here is the link....www.amazon.com/dp/B0714CYKBJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_V3ZNHR7TJNGKQRY3SWPV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Thanks for watching. Yeah this time of the year having lights on your kids power wheels really helps extend play time past dark. The soldering was to make sure the connections were tight and would not come lose. The sky is the limit on the switches. You could just get a three switch set and have all three systems on a different switch.
Good question. It all came down to draw on the battery.. my girls and I drive about 1/2 mile down our road to a lake access area.. I didn’t want to get stuck with a dead battery because my girls leave the lights on etc…plus I don’t want to strip the nice connectors the stock battery has to the vehicle..
This is the exact charger I have. It charges lithium and lead acid. www.amazon.com/Mroinge-Automatic-Maintainer-Motorcycle-Batteries/dp/B07MCTXFC7/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=B944QQX3PUZL&keywords=lifepo4+battery+charger+mroinge&qid=1640451234&sprefix=lifepo4+battery+charger+mro%2Caps%2C231&sr=8-3#
This could be the beginning of a custom shop for kids toys!

Wow that's a helluva surprise to give to a couple of young children on Christmas!!!🎄⛄ 💖⛄🎄

@@GReviewz Thanks for getting back to me. Any updated videos or future modification plans.

Great video! What brackets did you use to hold the light bar to where the 3 non functional lights were?
Thank you for watching. I’ll be honest when looking at the light bar on Amazon it was in the suggested other purchases section.
This is awesome going to so this for my kid my question is how do you recharge the battery

@@GReviewz That makes perfect sense. Thanks again!
No problem. It really is a fun project and your kids will love it!!

@@GReviewz Thank you
No problem. They really are great units. Comes with multiple size inserts..
So what did you solder and I’m assuming I can just wire a third switch if I want the little spot light led and light bar to be on separate rockers

About to do something similar, why did you use a separate battery versus the 12V battery that came with the toy?

I didn’t want to get stuck with a dead battery because my girls leave the lights on etc…plus I don’t want to strip the nice connectors the stock battery has to the vehicle..
What charger did you use for the 12v battery? I bought the same battery you suggested but it didn’t come with a chargwr

@@GReviewz thank you!
Very Cool, Great idea.
Thanks for watching. The guy that wired everything did a good job!!
i guess I am pretty off topic but does anybody know a good place to watch newly released movies online?
@Cain Thomas i would suggest Flixzone. Just google for it :)
@Jeremy Braxton Yup, I have been watching on Flixzone for since march myself =)
@Jeremy Braxton Thank you, signed up and it seems like a nice service :) I really appreciate it !
It even has rock lights. 😂😂
Oh yeah we went all out!! My girls love it!!
