This song has become one of my top five “most beautiful songs” ever made list. Sitting hear on the first day of 2024 with the stereo and a cup of coffee. It’s going to be okay…Thank you, Cory!
Mine too. And the best thing about bands like this is every time they play a song live it's a whole different new experience. Just enough improve to keep it interesting but familiar.
The best guitarist on the world my inspiration Hi Cory im mahdi you are the reason why ive strarted play guitar thanks you over 8 years now 😊😊❤🎸🎸🎸🎸🌟🌟🌟😊😊
Is It because it makes you think of the end credits of brokeback mountain. Because it's basically the same song. ua-cam.com/video/0qzMsJ-tmJY/v-deo.htmlsi=aAkNeoCZYtJysvvI
For a guitarist, some stuff you see is “impressive”. This is inspiring. It really makes you think about how you would have that instrument as an extension of yourself.
Cory is not the flashiest guitarist. He even restrains his playing to not be 'maxing out' his own ability to play. But I hear stuff like this and realize that he is so compositionally gifted, and sometimes less is more
One of the best songs of the decade by one of the best guitarists of ever. The filming, build up, and performance in general is done masterfully. Everything sits so well with everything else, and it all comes together to form this beautiful piece of art. Here's for many more years of Cory Wong
This beyond awesome song played live is every time an epic exceptional emotional journey which is being created on that specific moment. I had the privilege to witness his ‘Utrecht-NL’ version last October of which I posted the video on UA-cam. I really hope that from that 2023 European autumn tour a compilation will be released!!!
its usually fun stuff that Cory produces, but once in a while there are those complete diamonds emerging from live performances, that simply completely take you away. 'Ellie', then 'Home' and now this one. Nice, man! Greetings from Europe
there's something about this song that moves me. every. single. time. chills. first time i saw CW w my son in dallas back in november of '21, this was played and it was a very emotional moment. there's a beauty in this man's craftsmanship that is matched by few. thank you for posting. see you in february.
All I can say is that if you like Cory's vids but you haven't seen him live yet, multiply your YT experience by 1 000 000 and then you maybe, maybe get near the level of THE experience you'll have at his live performance. I know, because I already had to realize, how awesome they are live when I saw them at Brno.
I think he would've been sweating with the intensity of that playing if he were in his undies in a Nordic winter. Legend has it he learned Tummo guitar techniques from the same monks who've practiced Tummo breathing for thousands of years. Wim Hof learned this breathing and both Cory and Wim have furthered Theo's education of the power of the breath and guitar for creating energy
When you whipped out Meditation at the concert I saw you at last year... I literally cried. Meditation is one of your most meaningful songs to me and one of my favorite songs ever. Longing for the day I get to see you in concert again.
This was like a whole new version of Cory Wong I've never experienced before. I'm shaken to my core by how masterful that build up was. Every moment seemed so fragile yet intense and you could see cory feel that emotion as well as he carefully chooses and places the next notes in succession. I feel the same rush he does, and i hope to experience that same captivating moment performing in front of crowds myself ❤
Love Meditation and love to see the love for Meditation. How many of y'all listen to Phish? Harry Hood, Slave to the Traffic Light, Reba etc. are very similar.
gosh, I don't know how often I've watched this in the last month... just so so lovely... the only thing I'm not that big of a fan of, is the mixing at around 10:30 or maybe its in the arrangement of the horns there, but the guitar is really doubling with the horns in a way, where it suddenly gets "thiner" then before instead of "clearer" and "wider" which I guess its supposed to be. I believe at 10:45 its better with the horns filling the frequencies up top a little bit better. somehow a bit more spreading would be the thing I guess...
Insane run, fellas! Whole band was so patient and controlled. Absolutely nailed it. small buzz in the audio when the band kicks in, or is it me? It seems to fade in and out, but is quite distracting. Performance literally still brought me to weeping. Keep fucking shit up, Cory. Love from the 850. Come to the Gulf Coast! P.S. Derek Trucks colab.??!!
Sounds too soft unless he swelled into it. And if that’s what it is I’d be curious how he’s getting the bend (above the nut, trem bar, pedal). I’m not convinced that’s what it is but I love it regardless!

Mr. Cory Wong, "Meditation" is my favorite tune in your entire repertoire 🤗💖!!! Thanks for sharing 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 !!!

Spiritually high, a contrast to hilarious and ultrafast moments of the show. Cory's music IS complete.
xD love Yohannes face at around 9:49, like he can't believe how deep in the pocket they are ^^
Cory and his band are nothing less than incredible.
I could never possibly get tired of this song. Every version lives and breathes on its own. So, soooo good.
One of my fav CW tracks. Excellent performance!
Literally brought tears to my eyes. This tune has become more and more subtle over the years. Beautiful performance.

@@willmalcolm9926 i had no idea. You’re right in that the main motif is similar.
It reminds me of Duke Levine.
9:10- 9:37 "I've got blisters on me fingers!" Like really dude got damn
Spellbinding solo intro - no words. Beneath all the crazy showmanship, Cory shows just how it is done.
Man, I watched this standing on the train commute back home. Chills all over my body😮

When you sweat that much, you earned it. Fuckin amazing bro.
This is the exact definition of a slow burn. Freaking perfect!
Cory, Petar, and Kevin sync so well together, the college buddy really comes out in this tune in the best way.
This right here is why guitar magazines write about Cory Wong.
Man, what dynamics! First time hearing Cory really cut loose!
So much respect for that guy, what a complete artist he is !
He is so intense and totally devoted to the moment. It's awesome to hear and see. It doesn't get better than this.
Great snare sound, great bass holding’ it down throughout, great keys accompaniment, great build and arc, great mix! Just beautiful all around.

This music makes me glad to be alive; to be able to feel the way this music make me feel !!
Cory at Montreux - well deserved guys! What an amazing track!
Makes me cry, this 70's rocker. Thanks Cory for being a true musician. Will be seeing you on 12/10/23!
its usually fun stuff that Cory produces, but once in a while there are those complete diamonds emerging from live performances, that simply completely take you away.
'Ellie', then 'Home' and now this one.

That is just unreal. Thanks for sharing, Cory.

One of the best bands on the planet - if not the Best !~
The title of this track is so fitting, CW is up there with the greats, so much feeling in his playing here!
cory was really feeling this one
Man this song just keeps getting better! Can't wait to see where it's at the next time I catch Cory live!
OH MY GAWD! He went sooooooo DEEEEEEP with that one. Wow! WOW! WOW! COWABUNGAH SHAZAAAAM!

this song made me cry... such an emotional experience! amazing music!!
insane performance 🔥
Floored me in London in October, just great
Crikey, how hot was it on stage, Cory's sweating buckets!

Another great version of Meditation. God I love this tune!
that's why we love Cory !!

I was there!😀
I agree with the last post. Awsome….
As a lover of guitar yes this is awsome

Wow. that was on par with Peter Frampton. Bravo!
Who?
@ he’s a pretty important fellow. 😸 Listen to Frampton Comes Alive.
What an amazing performance!
Unreal!
Cómo siempre dándolo todo, gracias por la excelente música y más que eso por la Magia que generas al tocar.
no hay mejor version q esta
Deep pocket. From everyone

Major Johnny A vibes here.
I'm really scared of him.
He is not only funky, but also can easily play epic solos.
How many guitar boys' lives will be messed up from now on...🔥
Amazing performance!

'But he's just a rhythm guy' lol. I know this song has been out for a few years now, but this is a big middle finger to the RS250 list
what list?
@@martin-mmk3399 Rolling Stone top 250 guitarist. Pretty bad list by many accounts, not just my opinion
@@ExtraFancy96 oh this.. give it a few decades and he'll for sure be there. even if it's a garbage list.,
Eres un puto crack....¡¡¡¡¡¡
UA-cam, why would you allow me to like this video just once.
my favorite Cory Wong tune! Amazing stuff. Less is more!
Pedal board photo please!!!
Have Sonny and Cory parted company? I haven't seen him on shows lately.
❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
👍👍👌
3 minutes in before I saw he was not using a delay.
Gotta ask.....
Vulf Compressor?
Why not the Cory Wong compressor?....
Nice solo guitar work but I was hoping for a little Tony Jobim.
What in God’s green acres is that at 8:28? I think it’s coming from Cory?
6th fret harmonic

Somehow, I was expecting Mingus' "Meditations".
