i´m gonna read all of them, i´m learning a lot from you, you are a truly authentic,
and balanced person, who reaches to your own conclusions and biggest insights
through journaling, shadow work, listening to your intuition.
this is the biggest lesson i´ve learnt from you stop looking for the answers outside of you
and rather start listening to them, because they´re already inside of you.
glad to see your growth and evolution.

The video discusses 5 self-improvement books that have been effective. "How to Win Friends and Influence People" is highlighted for its advice on effective communication, emphasizing speaking in terms of others' interests. "Stumbling on Happiness" is mentioned as a book that challenges assumptions about future thinking and positivity, showing how the mind can play tricks on us. "The War of Art" is described as a book that tackles resistance, negative self-talk, and the battle to overcome internal obstacles for creative endeavors. "Self-Reliance" is noted for promoting individualism, authenticity, and not conforming to societal norms. "The Artist's Way" is discussed as a resource for unlocking buried creativity and addressing the impact of shadow self and anger on artistic expression.

Like you said in your last book video I watched: you need foreplay. The small talk leads to the impactful deep convos.
And when you can start viewing every person you interact with as a potential friend, then just start probing and asking them good questions, then follow up questions, it’s amazing how you can start to see how this person that could have been another stranger just actually has so much in common with you.
That is one of the beautiful things of life man.

I absolutely loved your video and the way you passionately shared your insights on these self-improvement books. It's clear that you've not only read them but also internalized their lessons. One key takeaway I got from your video is the importance of understanding and overcoming our own internal barriers, whether it's in social interactions, creativity, or personal growth. It's inspiring to see how these books have had a profound impact on your life. Thanks for sharing!

Self-Reliance is a gem. It helped me make sense of the dynamics of society and the role I play. The majority of people will ALWAYS be conformists. You can't fix society, you can only fix yourself. And by doing so, by walking away and becoming a true individual, you inspire others to do the same. I run a men's coaching program, and it's literally called, "The Self Reliant Way."
Thanks for all your work and inspiration, Clark. I just added The War of Art and Stumbling on Happiness to my queue.

I listened to war of art while I commuted to work and back, and while I did my chores around the house. It didn’t hit me as hard as I thought it would, especially as someone who is a struggling artist (music production). But I will give it this… every time I look at something I don’t want to do (dishes, mop, sweep, clean the toilet…) I ask myself “how badly do I want to do this?” And if the answer is “I really don’t want to do that.” I know that’s the first thing I have to do. Can honestly say it has so far made me pretty productive 🎉. 8/10

I love learning new stuff and really getting to understand all the little details about the topic, but when it comes to doing anything related to it, I can't start. I fantasise and learn about a lot of thing, but never do them.

It feels so pathetic when you do write in comment but when the person making video does not care to reply....it feels like they themselves does not care

1:52 well, I really hate when uber drivers start talking to me more than I need to or asking me a bunch of questions. I really HATE that, why cant I just get where I'm going quietly?. I don't know maybe it just me, I need to read that book I guess.

Damn, thank you for this episode and mentioning The War of Art, now I feel like it's something I need to read asap because I want to star a side hustle. I have all the ideas and plans in place but all the time, excuses keep appearing like: ugh, today I'm tired, not this time because there's a new game update and I want to play it or I find other seemingly important things to do, thus pushing this further and further into the future which to be honest I'm sick and tired of 😅
