It's not just a Mike thing. Granted he runs more acres than most other people that have an IDEAL, but AGCO has had to do a bunch of updates to these machines. There's 2 sides of the coin here, one side is that it should've been tested more before being put out to market, and the other side being that AGCO is still fully covering these updates, saying they admit the flaws in their machine and fixing them.

Jon Mc Farmer. Reading or driving a combine has no bearing on the way that a combine threshes a crop. I think that taller high density crops probably do go through all combines easier than the short tough stuff. However there are many uncalled for issues with these Fendt combines. They aren't run any harder than a custom cutter runs a combine.

    Hi Mike & Ashtyn!
I am partial to the red" machines, but all ALL them have problems! Some problems are caused by poor design, and others are caused by lack of maintenance, rocks, and other accidents.
Some farmers swear by there Fendt's and other brands; others swear at them! They haven't been around as long as IHC, or Deere, so some of there engineering is still in product development. You can bet Fendt has taken apart every major competitors machines and looked for way's they could improve there own machines!
Factory Warranty and dealer support is a VERY important issue when you purchase any machine! What kind of support did you get when you purchased your last machine,..... or did you just get the "bird"?
    Farmers seldom forget!
    Best Wishes, and GOD BLESS!

You pick up row by row, making sharp turns. We used to pick up rows in the order 1-4-2-5-3-6 when they are this close together, and repeat the cycle (switching right to left turns or the other way around). That way you can keep driving, especially when its a bit muddy.

I use a pump up hand sprayer for my fire suppression when welding. By all means a decent fire hose is great to damp down ground etc, but a wee pump up unit uses water very sparingly and is super easy to get into confined spaces with the wand and flexible rubber hose. You don't need to drench other parts you prefer to keep water out of.

When a combine breaks down and you have trucks and drivers ready and waiting, fuel burning, grain carts and operators, more fuel burning and weather is always a factor. I'd hate to see the cost of them combines breaking down because of the growing pains associated with new machines. Lots of money spent around the combines to keep them harvesting.

Fendt should be paying you for all this input. This is the type of stuff that a company can look over, including the prior videos you took of parts and sent to them, then use to make a solid, well performing reliable combine. @@jasonm8376 we have also came from JD to claas 3 yrs ago we really love the machines, the first claas we have was a 2015 c69 760 and now we have a 2019 c79 760 major changes between the two machines huge upgrades on all rotor drive pully s thresher pulleys rotor gear boxes the pro chop chopper is a million times better then the turbo chop, point being is I think claas has evolved into one hell of a great combine but did definitely have a fair bit of issues along the way. The fendt does look like an absolute nightmare tho and there has been many around you hear absolute horror storys not just mike Mitchell.

So this farm up north is yours and Ashtyn's. The JD 9620R is yours. What is the story with the rest of the equipment. Lease from the family farm, borrow it or do you own it? Grain cart, combine, etc.

Jeremy, Mike has said before that each of the family members own their own equipment. I think that Mike has 2 JD9620R tractors a wheeled one and a quad. He owns one or 2 sprayers, drills, trucks, etc.

Not so nice to hear the U-joint rattling. Can be a Kablammo or sparks flying. Also sorry to see your low yield. I think we have at least 5 times higher in bad spots here in Sweden. And remember we are on the same latitude as Anchorage in Alaska! No irrigation needed and a lot of sun summertime all day long nearly.

Such a same AGCO is getting this kind of PR from Ideal Combines. Gleaners which is also a AGCO Brand is the complete opposite, one of the most reliable, easy to operate & repair, & efficient Combines around in my Opinion. Keep in mind any machine is only as good as the operator running it,
