We are installing over 230ft of fencing for a chuhuahua we rescued and our German Shepherd. Thank you for the information! My husband will be installing.
Hello, thank you very much for the video. I am about a week away from installing mine from Lowes and didn't know I needed a gate post. They didn't have them with the gates in the store, they are special order. I really appreciate the Information.
My husband and I removed our fence today thank goodness who ever installed the fence they didn't put to much mix in the hole. We are relocating the fence to a better area in our yard took us about two hours to remove it.
I had to do the same thing after the local drainage authority told me my fence was on their right of way. A couple neighbors chipped in and we knocked it out in an afternoon
My experience with Lowes is that their employees don't have a damn clue as to what they carry in stock, and what's a special order item. These fences are NOT stocked in northern stores. They kept trying to tell me they had a certain post in stock, just because it said so on their inventory. Had SEVERAL employees tell me that, SMH. As for doing the gate, I made a spacers out of wood that I could clamp in between the posts to make sure they were parallel top and bottom out of some scrap boards. I also used quick drying cement for the gate posts so they would support the weight of the gate and not move. For the other posts I just used regular Quickcrete.
Yeah I have come to learn that when Lowe's says they have something in stock, and the number of items in stock is in the single digits, odds are they have nothing. Nice tip with the spacers!
First mistake was going to Lowe’s Home Depot all the way also would wait 24 hours to let gate posts set they are holding so much weight want them fully set so when you are hanging it you don’t throw it off level
Did you trench out towards the end so they were all level? If so, would there be any issue just going with the grade?? Or that was best for ur property?
I gave that a lot of thought actually. I did end up trenching down a few inches on the higher side of the yard. I thought it would look weird with an unlevel fence line and I couldn't leave a large gap underneath the fence on the lower side of the yard otherwise the dogs would escape.
Beautiful fence, totally think it would have been worth the $1k price tag on looks alone. Nice job. What happens if they tell you to remove it since you concreted it in ?
Funny you should ask. The lake Worth drainage district came in and demoed all the trees in my backyard along the canal in March. As a side effect, they made me move my fence 5 ft closer to my house. Had the whole fence demoed and moved in a day and a half. Two neighbors gave me a hand.
There are rules for a reason. But for some people that seem to know everything about everything, any rules are ridiculous. And thanks to social media said people can voice their misguided views on rules, to the extent of name calling. Have a wonderful life.
Joe's Garage Crazy I found 2 projects that I need to do on your channel. Also looking at IP cameras from Amcrest. Still happy with yours? Im still not sure if I want to build a server or just buy their simple 8 channel NVR
When i install the fence into the pre-punch slot posts..when im ready to secure it with the screws.. do i lift and level it.. or let it sit into the slot? If i let it sit into the slot there will be atleast 1/8th inch of an opening.
Can I install these on a curve? Like I know there are corner posts (90 degrees), but I need to turn anywhere from 135 to 155 degrees around a bend. Thanks
I believe I paid about $1,200 for 85 linear feet. The biggest issue was just finding the materials. No single Lowe's store had everything in stock. I had to visit two or three different stores if I recall
Nice video 👍 A lawn care customer of mine asked if I can install 85' of this fence (13 posts), straight down his yard without gates or corners. He wants to know how much I'd charge. How long did it take you and your friend to do? Do you know how much a company would've charged you for labor only? Thank you.
@@JoesGarageProductionsLLC do you like it? Can you provide me with the name and model number please. I just had a vinyl pool installed and looking to do this
Great job on installing the fence!!! Would you mind asking is how many inches between each pickets? I am thinking about buying the ironcraft from lowes as well but they have two different types The ironcraft cheshire has 1.63” between each pickets and the ironcraft berkshire has 3 13/16. Could you please let me knoww what type you get. Thanks a lot!!!
Yep... It had to travel to several stores to get all the parts. Apparently they don't all stock all the same parts. And more often than not the stock in the computer was wrong .. by a lot. The computers would say they have 20 of something in stock... you get there and there's nothing.
You put a fence in to rescue a dog. What a guy. I wish there were more people like you.
I realize I'm kinda off topic but does anyone know of a good website to watch new movies online ?
@Holden Jacob try flixzone. You can find it on google =)
@Armando Ameer yup, I have been watching on FlixZone for months myself :D
@Armando Ameer Thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service :D I appreciate it !
@Holden Jacob Happy to help xD

sounds like most of the jobs I do....have to improvise something along the way. Good video. About to put one in concrete.

It was a family show till "thats what she said!" lmao
Lol couldn't help myself
Great, beautiful view,good job !
mine next great job i need this bad
Looks great Joe. Maybe they (dog place) were also concerned about what may crawl in to get the dog?
No gators back here :) Biggest creature I've seen since 2012 is an otter. So cute!

$60 a panel!?? Mann, I would love to pay that much.
I’m getting quotes of $120 per 4ft tall panels
And it goes to $140 for 5ft and $160 for 6ft smh
Nice work. Will the aluminum react with the concrete and degrade?
First mistake was going to Lowe’s Home Depot all the way also would wait 24 hours to let gate posts set they are holding so much weight want them fully set so when you are hanging it you don’t throw it off level
Thanks for the suggestion, but I didn't have any of those issues. I'll keep that in mind going forward.
Looks great. What hieght fence?
Believe it is around 5 ft, maybe just under

What type of aluminum gate is that? And where did you get it from?! Looks great

@@JoesGarageProductionsLLC sorry to hear that and sucks about the trees :(
What city are you in? Great Job!
You certainly had a choice. Don't bow to the rescue tyrants.

Hey I’m looking for this model fence to keep my baby out of the pool area, do you have a model or brand? Thanks!
It has been a little while but I believe it's an Ironcraft brand, found at Lowe's

I have only ever run this fence in a straight line but you might be able to get away with some wide-angle curves.
@@JoesGarageProductionsLLC Ok thanks, that is what I figured.
If you dont mind, would you share what Lowe’s charged for the kit you assembled. Thanks

Is this in Florida?
Yes
I am interested I would like to have 300 feet fence across the front of my land 6FT
All that because a rescue thinks they should dictate everyone's pet ownership. 🤣
I’m trying to do the same, where did you purchase this fence. Did you purchase from a factory direct. Can you share your info. Nice video
I’m in Florida forgot to indicate
He said Lowe's
Where did you get the fence from?
I got it from Lowe's

Thank you! Yes, south Florida... Palm Beach county.

Pretty sure the one I installed here is the larger of the two sizes. I know that local code says prohibits any space is larger than 4 inches
Why wouldn't tell the rescue people to get bent? The world is filled with dogs, its fences that we need to lighten up on.
I needed a fence anyway, since I have a swimming pool.
How much did that cost ?? Thanks
In total, about $1,200.
How much did you save not hiring a contractor.? Did you pay the Asian hole digger?
@@karbs76 $19 per foot is what they charge here in Texas
They call it aluminum but is actually cheap steel, not even 16 GA
The fence shown in this video is definitely not steel. By weight and strength it felt by aluminum to me.
you buy it from lowes

lol rather than bore us with the details of putting up the fence lol that was bad
Hmm, I did not appreciate the comment. Thus, I disliked the video. A shame really. 8:24
Agreed.
Not the most appropriate comment I agree but he didn't mean anything by it and he said dude was his "friend" so he doesn't deserve a thumbs down.
Lmao get triggered
Lol sorry, guys - we really are pretty good friends. We joke with each other all the time.
